Seems I can't edit my message. I've seen a 6mm silicone implant and it honestly doesn't seem like that much..though I hear if you get something more than 6mm your nose will look strange. Unless you have a super low nose I'm assuming, which is what I have =s.

I had a 5 mm implant. It's definitely significant because I had absolutely no bridge whatsoever before, but it's not as high as some other people's because perhaps their bridge wasn't so flat to begin with.

I do know most doctors won't give you more than a 6. They all said it would look too fake and would inevitably thin out the skin on my nose (even though I have very thick skin to begin with). I definitely agree with that assessment now that it's been a couple of months since my surgery -- my skin (which is much thicker than average) is stretched significantly with even a 5 mm implant.

Hi,

Did you get yours done in Korea? Yeah most doctors won't give you more than 6mm. I'm just afraid 6mm won't be enough for me and I have thick skin too. I won't push for more though..

Hi new to the forum. Asian male checking in here, and wondering if anyone has any opinions about Dr Chase Lay in the SF/Bay Area. From what I can find online, he seems to have a specialization in Asian cosmetic procedures and understands the aesthetic goals of Asian patients. However, there are not too many reviews or examples of his work on Asian noses.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Finally someone mentions him lol. I love his nose jobs but I can't find any reviews about him which makes me kinda sketched out. There was a forumer on here called ahappycamper who said they were going to see dr.wang and would report back to us but she never did.

Yeah I'm surprised his name has not come up at all since he practices in the Bay Area, with a huge Asian population. On his website, he seems to go out of his way to promote the fact that he has a specialization in Asian cosmetic procedures. I just wished there were more examples of his work. From the few reviews online, it seems like he is also reasonable in terms of prices, maybe?

I've been looking up Girin, April 31 and View. I heard that April31 has been blacklisted by locals? Does anyone have any more information? Is this for rhinoplasty, was it Dr.Jae Hoon Kim? Is this why they are advertising to foreigners so much?
Any info please

Hi folks, I have plan to go Korea for eye and nose job this Jan/Feb. Have not fixed which clinic to go yet, so far only did consultation and got quotation from Dr Kim Jin Sung ITEM. Rm10k for eyes (eyelid & eyebag) and rm12k for secondary rhino & tip. Is the price considered reasonable and is he good? I am looking for travel companion as well so we can look out for each other and share cost. Any taker?

I've been checking this forum for quite a while now  I really wanna go to Dr. Wang. I think he meets what I'm looking for. I'm just a bit unsure because it's in China and I am still kind of doubting whether harvesting from the rib is safe..

Anyway, I remember this forum-er named "ahappycamper". last time she said she was going to Dr. Wang and was gonna report her progress. Do you guys know what happened to her? O.O

I'm kinda worried, I hope her kidneys and other body parts are still intact :faint::shocked: jk

Am I getting ignored  Does anyone know about implanting skin from your butt/hip area to your nose? It's supposed to prevent the silicone from shining through and prevent skin thinness.

http://www.beauty-korea.com/content/page.asp?tID=103&sID=297
I guess it's under "Dermis."

I was worried the ear cartilage on my tip was warping, but the dr. said it's because my skin is thinning. He said that I should get skin removed from the tail bone region and put it over the silicone/ear cartilage in my nose so it the silicone isn't shiny and to cover the little bump I have from the ear cartilage.
