Recommended Posts

Hi dear

Do you mind advise me which clinic you went too? I've done my surgery twice in SK before in a length of 7 years gap, both I was not satisfied with the results.
Am planning to go JW during Jan and hopefully it will give me the result I always wanted.

Dear friends

Any idea if JW Dr Suh can handle my revision nose surgery? This is my 4th one after 1-2nd time in Singapore and once in Korea without any research at all, and 3rd time to SK but didn't go with JW coz my translator did not manage to book Dr Suh for me so ended up in one big hospital that charged a lot imo.

I really don't have much excess money to waste and not a young age anymore, hopefully forumers can advise if Dr Suh is the best on revision plastry, tip and alar surgery, or otherwise advise whose next?

Thank you so much all!

Hi d00little & zaynat, I'd like to be fair to the clinic by waiting 3 months for the swelling to subside before I disclose their name. But from reading the forum as well as watching the youtube videos, I think JW has good results!

I was very blessed on my flight back to Singapore, as a very beautiful lady seated next to me actually had a rhino done in Singapore some years ago and she was sharing that her own nose was very swollen right after surgery. She had the same doubts about the nose for the first 3 months. After that, her nose started to look better.

I'll wait it out until then.

zaynat, I'm sorry to hear you've gone through several revisions; I hope JW or your next PS will be able to help you achieve a nose that you will love.

Hi Everyone!

My first post~~~~ almost a decade ago, I got my nose done in Seoul. I got silicone and ear cartilage for the tip. Now that I'm older, my skin is thinning tremendously. :panic:

The implant looks like it's pressing on the cartilage on my tip even though it's an I implant.

Also, my skin is thinning on my nose bridge. I thought I had thick skin, but now that I'm getting older, my skin is thinning.

I've been going to different clinics in Seoul getting consultations. Most are recommending for me to get my silicone out and implanting Dermal Fat harvested near my tail bone (it will leave a scar)

Has anyone been in this situation? I'm so depressed. I got suckered into doing this surgery. I was pretty stupid and naive when I did it, and I trusted that this was going to a one time thing. I hope those of you who are getting ready to do their primary are ready to do a revision later down the road, because with silicone, it is inevitable...

Hi babe, would like to check are you using docfindkorea to get your surgery or just find yourself ? If you choose banobagi with docfindkorea help, is it true that they accompany you throughout your surgery ? So that they won't switch doc ? Thanks so much as im going banobagi for surgery and I heard of other clinic practice "switch doc" and mk me kinda worried.

Hi there pinky99. When are you going?
I went to Banobagi via docfinderkorea. The clinic provides a translator. I got Claire, a very beautiful lady, to translate everything for me. She's very fluent in English. She even let me touched her chin as she also did fat grafting. She's quite nice. And yes, you get ferried to and fro for all your appointments and they'll book your appointments for you. All u need to do is to rest well.
I don't think u need to worry about switching docs. Usually the nurses are the ones who will remove stitches. But on the final day you'll get to see the doctor. He will do a final check before you depart. I don't know about you but I found it very assuring. I was swollen at that point in time I really felt as if I handed my life over to the doctor. Thank God everything went well. As of now, I'm finally post the one-month mark. So happy the swelling already went down so much!

Hi all, I've just registered recently. Been lurking around the forum these past few days.

Anyway I've wanted to have rhinoplasty done, planning to go to Seoul by June. I did what a forum member did, that is look up clinics and hospitals, do research and go to their website to attain either email address or kakao..

I think I did a mistake asking for quotes because I've just read a post by KCouture saying it's not really ideal to go ask them that 😂 I agree this gives more controlling power of the prices to the consultant.

Anyway I've attached my photo, as you can see my nose is kinda round and not really sharp. Basically I just want a slightly pointier tip and sharp bridge. More defined.

I've emailed dreams, wannabe, smps, opera.

I really liked the professional way dreams reply and I like that they suggested close rhinoplasty with soft silicone.

My question now is how come so much price different from each clinic? Wannabe charges only 2500 usd whereas dreams charge at 3700 usd.
Is it because of surgeon skill? The material used?

I felt that my nose doesn't need that much work done, I just want it improved a little 😂 so 3700 usd is kinda on a high side for me.. can anyone recommend a good PS place that is good for rhino? And reasonable price?

Thanks a bunch

I agree with motty, you don't need tipplasty at all. You have a beautiful nose! Also if those clinics are all suggesting u use silicone and cartilage for the tip, then the price difference has got nothing to do with material but you are paying for the skill and reputation of the surgeon. Just like how in larger clinics your price depends on the seniority of the surgeon as they have many junior surgeons who charge less. The mid sized ones like Dream only keep about 5-6 surgeons, each with a specialization in one area. So for example Dr Park specializes in closed rhinoplasty and non incisional eyelid so anyone wanting incisional he will not perform and the patient will be directed to Dr Yoo who specializes in incisional. But seriously....you have a nice nose i don't think you should get anything done

Hi K Couture,

I am very impressed with your knowledge. I have just joined the forum but have read so many of your posts as well as other forumers', which are really impressive and helpful.

I wonder if you could enlighten me on the closed rhinoplasty which you had used for your third rhinoplasty and second revision a little bit more. I researched and found pros and cons on each method (closed vs. open). Even though I very interested in the closed method, I am concerned about the downside of it and keep wondering if it should be a choice for my first revision including tip work. Dr. Park at Dream confirmed to me that it could be done via closed method, but I have not seen many surgeons performing this, at least in some popular clinics I have visited in Seoul. If closed method has such a big advantage and the downside is not of a major concern, why don't many surgeons just get trained in this to apply it? I researched and also received an answer from a very well-known surgeon in a big clinic in Seoul as follows which I can't disagree: "Closed rhinoplasty has an advantage of invisible scarring since the incision is made inside of your nostrils. However, it is inevitable a distortion of the nasal cartilage in order to access to the nasal framework. It may cause irritate your nasal components in position for example fat, tissue or cartilage to be damaged or migrated from where they are." While it is apparent that visible scar is avoidable in closed rhinoplasty, is it true that it doesn't cause internal scarring and non-invasive as I recall you had mentioned earlier in this thread. Also, you seem to have a lot of confidence in Dr. Park which is something I hope to build. I have a great impression about his intelligence but may I ask if you don't mind that how do you know that he is well-trained for this method as you mentioned while his profile doesn't seem to prove it. I have researched about him but don't find a lot of information on him. So please advise me as I think you do know something that I don't. I hope to hear from you soon.

Many thanks and Happy New Year!

D
