tkw
For tiplasty only using septal cartilage graft, does anyone know what is holding the graft in place after a few years? Is it permanent sutures in the nose or the cartilage fused into the new position?
k-couture
they create pocket to hold the strut in place. You are refering to the collumela area yes?
tkw
Yes kcouture, the columella area. Sorry I dont quite understand how the pocket can hold the cartilage in place. Is the pocket separated by skin or a layer below my septum? Is there any stitches holding my cartilages in place ensuring they dont move about,

koreasaurus
I know there are legitimately good doctors though, I just don't trust them as much as some Korean doctors since my features are more Asian.
earthhan86
true that also I have no offend to their skills about the breast surgery in the states I know they have a lots of experiences but high prices... but the other parts I think Asian country is better for the facial parts. koreasaurus
Hmm my biggest recommendation for anyone is to put your safety first. I see a lot of clinics popping up wih little to no information, so I'm avoiding them. I'd rather choose a safe clinic than a popular one. A lot of us that don't know Korean are at a really big disadvantage, so we have to be extra careful.
k-couture
the fact that ms singapore chinatown did her surgery at the line and its public knowledge means that she is part of the line's marketing strategy. Not saying the line is bad clinic because it is not. Rather I am suggesting to choose clinic not based on marketing, but instead do the following: a) determine who the specialist surgeons are b) determine the credentials and reputation WITHIN THE MEDICAL COMMUNITY of the specialist surgeon c) determine the effectiveness of their proposed methodology for YOUR FACIAL STRUCTURE. Just because one technique works well on another person doesn't mean it will on you. I think we have the responsibility for doing ample research since it is our face and our body. We should all make the most informed decision possible.
koreasaurus
I narrowed my clinics by checking the surgeon's credentials on their respective websites, and searching to see if they were members of ISAPS. I also made sure that the surgeon can speak at least a little English so I could speak to them directly. I would never go to a clinic solely based on reviews, especially from people I don't personally know. I use them as a reference, but I keep in mind we all have different expectations. k-couture
well ID clinic has a bad reputation and so does Grand. They still offer either both money and/or free surgery to individuals as part of their marketing campaign. And these individuals gladly take it. Whose to say what the perceived value of money vs facial results is to the individual. And whose to say the individual part of the campaign is well researched on plastic surgery to know any better? Anyways as I said before, I am not suggesting the Line is a bad clinic because it isn't. I've actually consulted there before. But the main thing I am saying is we must never choose a clinic based on marketing and that includes which famous person did their surgery there, before and after photos etc. We must choose based on reputation within the medical community, speciality and proposed methodology. It is also important to find out if a surgeon/clinic has a technique of differentiation that isn't a gimmick, which places their skill level above their competitors. earthhan86
I think i already have posted about the illegal agencies or doing illegal agency work from guest house pretending they are helping as a translator or a friend. One of my friend who can't speak Korean at all went to Korea to have surgery and went to the clinic with a person from guest house. "He/she" thought that person was helping him/her as a friend but felt little bit weird after went into clinic even saw sort of arguing from the clinic with the staff. but she did not know what was going on since he/she can't speak korean at all I'm posting this so you guys can be careful with it. Prices could be expansive or cheap depends on which clinic you go and how their surgeons skills are but clinic will give you higher prices since they need to pay some of amounts from your fees to that person which it means you are not gonna get any discount at all. I know how hard it is to be in other country especially for the foreign ppl who can't speak that language where you are trying to have a travel. but you should be careful with those kind of person who tries to help you without no reason. I know some of ppl wants to help you with a clear mind. but many ppl are not like that. they do it for their own good. just pretend they are nice to you
