biadoy
Here's a picture 2 years after my first rhinoplasty, tip in is smaller than now, no visible scar, but I was satisfied, and then 1 and half years after the second rhinoplasty, bigger tip, uneven, visible scar. So I am gonna give this a third try and try to get it right this time, I need to get it fixed.
gantz
Did you have rib plased in the paranasal area as well? Or you mean silicon or something else? How is it now? Has it caused numbness? Any side effects noticable? Thank you
gantz
Wow how did he do that?I am sorry for how you feel Hopefully you can find a doctor that delivers the result you would like. Please research here alot, read all the posts, many rhinoplasty doctors have been mentioned and reviewed! I want to get my nose done as well, but my case is primary. I like the results from some clinic, TL, Dodream, Comain (can't say I trust, but only like the results), April31, LaPrin and some others I can't remeber right now-have to check notes, but I can't personally comment on them since I have not yet visited Korea. TL and April31 have mixed reviews here. Also another member mentioned visiting Iran for caucasian rhino, which I had never heard before. If you google Iran rhinoplasty many beofre noses come up that resemble yours(I mean the hump, didn't notice the columella), so you could check it out as well! When are you going to Korea? **Also, I happened to read an older thread these days, I think is was about v-line or zygoma, and Mega was mentioned there as well for rhino but not positively. Please do thorough research!!!
moody
I had rib placed for mid-face as well as my nose. The feel is normal. Zero side effects, the procedure itself is very beneficial. My nose, ehh thats another story.
moody
anyone here ever injected fat around their nose bridge? VIP gave me that option, but another surgeon said that wasn't a good option since it'll reabsorb overtime.
sunnyg
I want to know the nose clinic information. which is good in korea? I want to do it next January.
maliboo
Hi guys hope everyone is well. Read all 431 pages of this thread over the last 2 weeks - seems like not much was posted in 2015 and 2016, those went by so quickly - and finally decided to make an account to contribute to the ongoing research. I've been reading more about dermal fat transfer and like Moody, would like to hear more about it if anyone has any experience to share? From what I've gathered (mostly from K_couture's helpful posts), dermal fat has a higher rate of absorption - but I haven't seen a lot of corroboration of this and would like to know more. K_Couture, not sure if u still check this thread but your argument for the preference of (ultra soft) silicone implants is that it can create a flawless (aesthetic-wise) without chances of warping, etc. My own nose is extremely flat, a button nose with a bridge that begins just below my eyes, (instead of the ideal height of mid-eye level). As such, a straight and high nose would be a very dramatic change for my face, and I'd prefer a natural, imperfect look. Most of the clinics' b&as have a dramatic change that I (from my understanding) attribute to the use of silicone implants.. I guess my question is, when you say silicone achieves a "flawless" look are you thinking of a straight/high nose? Can silicone also create very very natural looks without a drastic bridge augmentation? I hardly see those in B&As. As for my initial research and from reading the whole thread, as well as the ones on nose revisions, it seems like April 31 will be the one I'll shoot for - it's on the extreme end price-wise, but most people seem to be really happy with it (but Gantz also said above that there've been mixed reviews..?). I emailed them and Brian said 6 million won for a primary! Also considering consulting with Dream as that is where K_Couture went for for her final revision and she was really happy with the result. And I've been reading a lot of positive reviews from MVPPS, and their B&As look very natural. Ugh just want my primary to go well. There seem to be few reviews from people who've been satisfied with their primary but perhaps the likelihood of someone returning to report on their dissatisfaction is higher than if their surgery was successful. maliboo
also wanted to say thanks to @vannytelly, read her blog and her experience with Dr. Chuang of Wish Clinic for her epi and rhino, and it helped me to make my decision to go there for my submalar implants. I found that there was very little information about Taiwan overall, particularly on tpf. but I decided to pick Wish as their website was very recently updated (like in the last 2 months) with comprehensive information in English about each surgery, and Dr Chuang replied to all my questions with sincere and detailed answers. another option for me is to to consider going back to Dr Chuang for my rhino. but not sure about this, as from what I can tell he specialises in eyelids and not noses! at the same time, I did have a positive experience with them and the price is more affordable (130,000 NTD) compared to SK - tho I'm willing to wait/save/pay more for the best. Vannytelly, how was your rhino experience with Dr Chuang? I think @microchip did her rhino there too - can either of you share more about your experience? jnoseye
Do you usually show a picture of a nose you want to the doctor? Then it is possible that the doctor make a nose that you wanted, but doesn´t fit with your face? In Kcouture guide there is a advise that it´s not a good idea bringing pictures, because of that. Opinions and what screening they usually do before rhinoplasty in Korea?
moody
Perfect question and from first hand experience...yes bring pics. Not on your phone but print them out, so he could tape that sucker on the wall in the surgical room. Im going back to Korea because I went in saying I wanted this and that (no pics in sight, only ref to his work). And so I placed my nose in the surgeons perception of "beauty" ,to what would fit my face and what I needed to fix. After all he would know best right? It all sounded great ,music to my ears. Wrong move and for this I deeply regret it.
moody
oh yes, to top everything off. I was quoted to pay more to fix it. Nothings ever free. Grafting this and that. I might as well live in the clinic, its never ending. I feel like I'm paying for 2 nose jobs!
maliboo
I'm sorry that sux where did you go to get it done? is it a good idea to go back to the same place to get it fixed? what don't you like about it?
jnoseye
Sorry to hear your experience, hopefully you find a good doctor for a revision. Thank you for the answer.
moody
Im going back next month and each day i question myself if its the best decision to go back to the same doctor. two ways to approach this: 1. If I went in the first time with pics and 100% strict about exactly what i wanted. And I didnt get the results then I wouldnt go back to the same Doctor. 2. I wasn't prepared as i thought. And maybe the 2nd time would be better since now i know what isn't suited for my face.
