Thanks for sharing your experience especially so far out from your surgery! It's good to know that you're still happy with the result. Did you use ear cartilage for the nose tip or rib? Is your nose tip softer now or still hard as it was shortly after surgery? Any noticeable drooping of the tip? Thanks! Mind sharing some B&A pictures?

How time flies! Its already the 3rd thread! Just popping by after two years to see what surgery life is like? I had my nose done at vip in 2010 and its now 2013! So crazy to think its been three years already!

After reading some more recent posts i feel like its become more communal and easier to find buddy's to go through this process together =)

Well 3 years post surgery and thank goodness!!! No complications im very glad to say. No infection no protusion. Im very glad i chose rib instead of silicon or goretex. I was talking to my sister the other day who works in the medical field and she was telling me how common rib graft is nowadays. They even use it for trauma patients in mandible areas as well as the leg!!! Its insane!

So post surgery:

Pro's: Nice nose still the perfect shape id always hoped for =)
Very natural
Don't need to worry about infections

Con's: Every now and then my rib area (where they took the graft from) gets sharp pain. (Weird but only happens every so often and the pain level would be less than cramps *You'd understand if you were a girl)
Im too scared to play extreme sports haha just in case someone punches my nose


anyhow, hope everyone finds this helpful. It seems that nobody really puts an update on their nose three years down the track so i hope this gives some sort of reassurance for you guys. =) Don't be scared! I look back and think "Wow i was really brave"

I used ear cartilage for the tip. Nup no dropping, actually rather in the past year its become a little more defined. So its actually true when they say the final result is seEn 2 years later becausr the tip is still deswelling slowly even a year later. Its still hard but not stiff. I cant push my nose hard or anything. Hmmm i dont really want my photos up again because last time i shared some people were sending it around which made me feel uncomfortable.

Good to hear. I was deciding between using rib or ear cartilage for the tip. I understand if you're uncomfortable about sharing your picture.

How long did you get your swelling down, and the pain went away?

How did you face look like 2 weeks or 1 month after rhynoplasty? Did you still get the swelling or maybe visible stitch mark?

i am 2 months post op after having my tip, alar base reduction and nasal bone narrowing done at cinderella by dr hong.

for now, i am very pleased and happy with what dr hong did for me. mind you he does not have the best bedside manners as the clinic seems super busy. i felt that cinderella was fake and for money, but heck i am happy with the nose dr hong gave me. you may read back on my past posts for my experience with cinderella.

my previous nose: low bridge, no tip, bulbous, becomes bigger when i smile.

i requested for a medium bridge, tip (not too sharp, meaty). i specificially said i like song hye gyo's nose as hers does not look too sharp, and it even looks meaty.

obviously my nose isn't a replica of hers, but i am happy with mine. dr hong gave me what i asked for.

it is an emotional journey of wanting to strangle the surgeon especially after the removal of the cast. 1 month post op and my nose was still pretty swollen. perhaps it was due to the fact that i was always out shopping in seoul, i only stayed in to rest the first day. and i was eating raw seafood and stuff. my nose has only truly began to deswell only now, and it's getting smaller and i'm starting to see the shape.

i'm not too sure about cookie cutter noses, but i personally feel that certain drs have certain styles. so be sure to take a look at their before and afters yeah? cinderella did not show me any pictures.... but i decided to go with them based on their reputation = have not read any negative reviews + their celebrity endorsements.

Hey guys , long time since i last post here.

Anyway, I went for a nose surgery on June last year and was very happy with the result!
It look sharp now,gives you that non-flat overal face structure look
Before anything, no I didnt do it in Korea but the doctor is korean.
Here's my experience:

I went inside, he looked at my profile and explained several stuff that need to be done for my nose to achieve the better face ratio.
He suggested doing tip (using ear cartilage) and bridge (using goretex ; shaped customized for each patient not one-for-all type).
I wanted chin surgery too , (he specialise in eyes and nose) he honestly told me it'd be a risky process and need high-maintenance to avoid sagging.
He also said how achieving sharper nose could contoured my whole face.

2 Days later, I went ahead with the procedure, it was kind of scary in a way have that thought of what if I didnt woke up and stuff.
Plus JUST before my procedure, the girl beside me (who just got her stiches removed) complained on how she dislike her super sharpy nose etc.
Which trulyyy making me panickk! But I still go for it at the end.

For the next 4 days I went back to the clinic back and forth to
get my bandage cleaned/replaced, structure removed/replaced, get my nose monitored and finally stitches removed.
Im really happy on how I was taken care of like that.
and the doctor mentioned how the operation is really smooth one and how my nose (have a thick skin, easier for it to get 'modified') .

After stitches off, the swelling and bruising become more prominent.
I didnt look like myself at these period.
But after 5 months or so , the result start to show and I really like it! (considering on my previous nose..) haha.

Hi, i was considering going to korea next before the end of this year to get my nose done, but im very reluctant to go overseas just for a nose job. Seeing as how successful and beautiful your nose turned out im wondering where in aus did you get it done thank you

I know some people who were very satisfied with their results from him. He has great bedside manners and is very honest. However I had my primary surgery with him and need a revision. I guess everyone's experience and needs will differ though.

Hi may I know why you decided that you need revision? I am considering dr kao for my revision and I hope it's the last time,hence i am worried.
