Waste of money. Light pressure on the sides of your nose will have no effect on its shape.

it depends Yishu. Usually people kakao me right after their surgery because they are first timers and don't know what to expect so they enter into panic mode, asking me if what they experiencing is normal. And i have found that for those who have thicker skin and more tissue along the tip, experience swelling for a longer duration. Id say visually speaking from seeing their noses go through the recovery process an additional 2-3 weeks for those with thicker skin and more bulbous noses which required some excision of fatty tissue.

For others, 2 weeks plus some make up and nose contouring will allow your to be function ready The swelling in my nose actually went down pretty quickly, especially considering its a reconstructive surgery. But my skin is also thinner tho.

Hey I'll be in Korea around Xmas time for nose revision and eyes! When are you planning to be in Korea?

Yishu, I had rhinoplasty three times. 1st I don't remember. it's been 9 years ago. the 2nd one in 2009. the third one - this year in June. The 2nd and 3rd one I underwent at the same clinic in korea... I hate hate hate the results. anyway, the 2nd one, I had osteotomy, so bruises and swelling were worse and last about 2 week? I don't remember exactly. the 3rd one, on the other hand, I had only tip rhinoplasty and I literally had no pain at all after i woke up from anesthesia. I had pain on my left year only since I used ear cartilage. Pain on the ear is unavoidable and I knew that.

So, if you are going to have osteotomy, you'd better expect some bruises and swelling for less than 2 weeks. Otherwise, you will be totally fine in 1 week.

Oh! You need to apply splint on the nose for a week, so if you mind others seeing your splint, you can hang around outside after removing the splint.

May you mind telling us which clinic you went to have your nose done?? and why you hate the result, still going back there to have your nose revision?

Has anyone had a successful primary nose job? All of this is soo expensive ( surgery, airfare, accommodations ) I'd hate to go in for revisions over and over.

Also will the results be instantly noticable after surgery? Like....when the doctor takes off the bandages will that be the exact results or it takes time to really see it? My friend just had hers, she freaking out saying how it still looks the same.

I'm almost a year post op, so right now it's still a successful primary nose job.

It definitely takes time before you see the final results. When I'd taken my cast off, I did notice it was different but also quite swollen. And over the months it's become thinner.

I'd say after 2 months, you're not going to see much difference in shape besides it slimming down.

Oh... it becomes too long, but yes, I wanna have another surgery, of course. I can't live with this nose... It's so stressful... After almost 10 years since the first rhinoplasty, I, by myself, concluded that nose surgery should be done with individual's own rib cartilage... The shape is the most beautiful and less different, less changing as time goes by...

Yes, you can mention the clinic name in here, and plz do!!! As i want to have my primary nose job done in nov and i have saved up all my $$ to do plastic surgery too

I am planning to ask dr to use silicon for bridge and rib for tip, as i think ear cartilage is not a good support for nose tip, seems many people will sag down after a period of time, i really don't want to do revision.......

Does anyone know where the silicone is placed inside the nose? My previous doctor told me that he placed the silicone not under the skin but under the tissue? (so.. skin-tissue-silicone, i had a L-shaped soft silicone implant btw) so that when i hit the light my nose wont become transparent/shiny? I wonder if korean doctors do the same.. Hmmmm...

And do u guys hv info which doctor/clinic that uses soft/super soft silicone for their implant? Im thinking of using an I-shaped + cartilage this time!

I think most Korean doctors place implants the same way you mentioned -under the tissue, and creating a pocket to hold the implant- but you can/should always ask during the consultations anyway.

Most surgeons use soft/ultra soft silicon for nose implants, you can ask to see the implants to try out the size/width/flexibility.

I sent him an email in June, 2 weeks later I got a reply email from Brigitte, but since then I have not received any emails from him or Brigitte. Dalian, China from Seoul is about a 2 hour flight so I'm trying to figure out the logistics whether I should consult with him....has anyone had any success in communicating with Dr. Wang?

Thanks Kcouture for your input. But im wondering if anyone has had a silicon implant and it turned out perfect? I meam, it dorsnt change or require a revision? Like it lasts 10+ years?? Because all ive seen is that after a few years, some take out their silicon because a change of shape etc etc?
