jacaranda Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 hey do you know anything about hanabi clinic?
ryanthelion Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 Hey guys I know a few people are interested in going to Korea for plastic surgery. I started a chatroom in katalk for those who are interested. Plastic Surgery in Koreahttps://open.kakao.com/o/gdDASaA
olive-o Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Hi Annalessa, I am planning to go late September/early Oct if you are still interested?
microchip Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Once you have put in an implant, your bridge is no longer the same when you have implant removed. The doctor needs to shave the bridge so when you remove the implant, after some time, your bridge is not the same as before surgery. So you will incline to have another surgery to have an implant put back unless you do not mind the lower nose. So think carefully before you start on rhinoplasty. It is never ending.
catelet Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 Has anyone had rhinoplasty with Dr. Choi at MVP? I've read about his face work but I can't find anything on noses done by him here in the forum .
kotrad Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 @catelet, you should be able to find several reviews on nose and MVP on this forum, as I have came across multiple when researching this forum. For instance, you can look at reviews of smitten_kitten as she has done her nose at MVP. Good luck.
olive-o Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 I am looking for reviews on Dr. Chang Geun-Uck - Doctor | HANABI RHINOPLASTY CLINIC too. Has anyone had work done by him before? He is a plastic surgeon and ENT specialising in rhino
kotrad Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 I have been researching this forum for a long time, but I haven't come across anyone who has mentioned this clinic before. You're the first one Is it a new clinic?
olive-o Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 So this is how I came across Dr Chang Guen-Uck of Hanabi - I contacted my old boss Dr Andrew Kim who is a Korean plastic surgeon in Australia for recommendations of doctors in Seoul. He suggested Dr Jung or Dr Jang at Shimmian or Dr Chang Geun-Uck at Hanabi. But I've read mixed reviews on on a number of forums about Dr Jung at Shimmian, so was cautious. I decided to do my own research and found Dr Kao in Teipei had great reviews and happen to find this on his Facebook:. Dr Kao mentions a few doctors here in his post, including Dr Chang of Hanabi. So again, I am being directed to him. It could very well be a new clinic. I think Dr Chang Guen-Uck used to work at Shimmian. But I can't find anything -good or bad- on Dr Chang Geun-Uck. Maybe he is only known within the Korean community?
kotrad Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 Thanks for the info. I actually thought that there was only one doctor at Shimmian, as it wasn't mentioned before that there were other doctors there. I do know that it has been mentioned before in this forum that many PS goers seen that other doctors were trained there by Shimmian?
olive-o Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 I haven't looked much into Shimmian, but my old cosmetic surgeon doctor boss (yes I could have had discounted surgery when I worked there!!) said that he has a number of mentors/teachers. He said Dr Jung is his nose mentor and takes on complicated cases that other surgeons can't do themselves. Dr Jung is a bit of a veteran in the field it seems. He's much older than the other surgeons out there.
kellyz Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Yes I'm interested for an Oct trip but not 100% sure because of work. Need to book off for a holiday etc. Inbox me where you plan on going and which places.
kotrad Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Thanks for you reply. Indeed Shimmian is really old as I have found many really old posts about forummers going to this clinic and from what people have shared about the clinics is really mixed... But that's not to say that any of his students are necessarily good or bad of course.
