Pre shaped forms I have seen was shown to me by Peter L Dixon. He showed me a sample Hydroxy pre shaped for a zygoma augmentation. It looked like a boxier version of a silicone cheekbone implant.

Hydroxy is derived from coral, which as fairly similar structure to human bone. Mendelson uses the granule form and mixes it with your blood and turns it into a putty form and then molds it onto the bone. After 2 weeks or this form of hydroxy securely fuses to the bone. And no, I dunno anyone who can do this technique besides him. Probably one of the many reasons why he is so freakishly expensive

When you say where the zygoma arch is you mean there where the tear through ends/ the bone I feel when I touch my under eye area, not the side of the zygoma(this is not under eye lol), right?

I would love to meet Mendelson, he seems so knowledgable

oh its great. Was super easy too. Mendelson just sedated me and did the entire procedure through my nostril via a canula. Very impressed. No need for fillers and doesnt feel restrictive or uncomfortable like bulky paranasal implants. Not cheap tho. Expect me to pay at least 8000 aussie dollars and up depending on how much hydroxy you need. Mendelson will not get out of bed for less -_-

Hi K Couture, wanted to ask how your smile looks after the Hydroxy. Oh, and what shape did he mould the granules into?
You also mentioned in one of your other posts about Mendelson replacing your chin implant with hydroxy. I contacted him a few weeks ago, and his office said that he can only do a 2-3mm augmentation in the chin area. Weird.

he didnt mold it to any particular shape such as a Triangle, square etc. That's not how hydroxy is used. When hydroxy is used it is molded into natural contour of the facial bone structure. For example I also have it in my mid cheeks where there is hollowing of the facial bones, a more significant occurrence in Asians and one reason why Caucasians have more dimensional mid features. The hydroxy in that region is molded into the indentation. And as my face has natural asymmetry, he molded the hydroxy in my naso holds to even up both dies as my asymmetry is more a frontal projection uneveness.

Actually 2-3mm is good amount of projection. Mine is about 2mm, while the chin implant I replaced is 3mm. There was a huge difference in my original chin with these 2 implants. Remember, on the face a few mm makes a big difference. Unless you have a very short chin. In that case perhaps sliding genio is better for you.
