Best Plastic Surgery Clinics in Korea -read 1st post before posting.

Well, thats the 2 sides of the coin isn't it? Lots of the smaller clinics only have a handful of surgeons most of which will specialise in certain areas. You can be pretty certain of who is gonna do the surgery. In the bigger clinics, they have teams of surgeons and not to mention the interns as well so you can't be truly 100% who did your surgery. The big clinics will have the famous surgeons though. Skill wise i couldn't possibly comment.

What was your impression of the small clinics? Were they in nice modern buildings? Were there staff nice (and pretty)?

Didn't Marir say View was around 60% of ID's charges? I'm sure it's not that expensive.

Oh and I've decided to knock face line off my consultation list and will be going to Regen, Dream and JW. View is still tempting though their transformations are so dramatic, despite the noses haha.

There was one girl in that list Marir compiled who did her eyes, nose, cheekbones and jaw and holy crap, she looked a hundred times better! One of the first few in her list actually.
Does anyone know if JW is cheaper than Dream?

If Marir was the one who had a friend who had work done there then i've probably remembered/read wrong. For some reason i remember someone saying it was expensive and crossing it off their list.

The small clinics I've been to were very nice, clean, and the staff was very pretty. One was near Gangnam station and the other was right by Apgujong station. People might think YK is a big-ish clinic because it has it's own 5-storey building but each floor is really really small. The only problem that may arise in a small clinic is the lack of English speaking staff. I was told that their nurses don't speak English (the YK surgeon speaks english to a certain extent). If you undergo surgery that requires you to stay overnight, you might have to learn a few Korean words to communicate with them.

Haha I'm surprised by this whole thing myself! I'm not in shape at all. Gotta start working out as soon as I'm able.
For three weeks before surgery, I took vitamin C pills to prevent catching a cold, made myself a women's multivitamin shake (bought it at GNC), and took another daily multivitamin (the gummy kind that tastes like candy) everyday!

Is it just me or do a lot of regen's patients actually look the same or even worse after surgery? you can see sagging/jowls in almost all their B&A pics. aren't plastic surgery clinics supposed to put their *best* results on their website?

But also said, they will give a discount if multiple surgeries r done.

wow at how fast this thread is moving. its been long since i've been here. i initially had booked my flight in sept but since postponed it to december which is in another 2 weeks. i'll be meeting nicole there too. really excited (and nervous too i guess haha). will update on how everything goes..

anyway, noticed that someone here posted about dream clinic aka "before and after ps" now. i would just like to clarify that although they have many testimonials from top celebrities e.g snsd, those testimonials are speaking for dermatology/aesthetic skin treatments. they are pretty famous in korea as a top-celebrity aesthetic clinic and i dont think they perform invasive surgeries such as eyelid or nose. (pls correct me if im wrong). i believe thats where the celebrity image consultant han gyu ri works at.

hm... right after, it was hard to see a bit because my vision was blurry due to the ice packs.. BRING SUNGLASSES!!! and a cap lol. those will be your best friends for a few days.

i actually even wore my sunglasses at night because i didn't want to stay in ... afer 2-3 days i just wore a ball cap. and bought a pair of prescriptionless glasses to wear.. they work wonders at covering the swollen eyelids! GOOD LUCK

i'm visiting 2 clinics for consultation. tlps & view. actually from our corresponding emails, i prefer View. They seemed meticulous. Quoting from the email she sent me "I wish you keep a healthy condition and have good flight to Seoul, so we can happily see you on Sat. **Note: for a smooth surgery, I recommend not to take a blood circulation/pressure medication or vitamin E supplements."

no worries! no i left it in my inner zip pocket. my understanding is that you don't have to claim it unless it's more than $10,000 USD. so i just put it in an envelope and left it hidden. they never questioned me but i'm sure they saw it when they were screening my items bc you have to take off your jacket and what not.

if they do question, which i'm sure they won't, just be honest and say it's for surgery! or gifts or smth

Did you bring less than $10,000 USD then? I'm going in january from the US and I'm afraid of the customs departing is going to be a huge pain since I plan on bringing more than the limit. I know I'll have to fill out the paperwork before hand but I'm just terrified they'll confiscate it for whatever reason.

I think it's better you to send your pictures and email to the each clinics' english consultants if you are not in Korea. They will observe your condition briefly before your visit. That's how I went through my consultation prior to visiting Korea.

I will email you my English consultant's email address.
By the way, many of forumers want my b&a pictures, however, I want to work on blurring my other parts of my face except my eyes & nose. haha

Hi helloj, I have sent them my photos and asked for a brief consultation. I was thinking of confirming a clinic before I travel there and get the op done on the day i arrive. But it seems like most of u actually decide only after a face to face consultation. Means i have to be there longer...alone for a few days after my friends leave.

I just want ur eyess..... haha. Sure no probs abt the photos. Thanks for the email add.

Hihi,

I dropped Regen an email and I do receive their reply. The only thing I am not comfortable with them is that I do not want to have foreign implant for my nose bridge and asked for alternatives. The consultant came back and insist that foreign implant is best. When i emailed them again abt other option like dermofat graft, the consultant advised on fillers instead. I am like "why wld I want fillers when i am travelling all the way to Seoul for PS?". Hence I decided not to go there for consultation.
