I am planning to get double eyelids/nose/ and square jaw contouring in Seoul this January, 2014. I have been contacting a couple of clinic such asGRANDS, CINDERELLA, and BANOBAGI. I was wondering, 1. Do you know any good clinic/doctor for these procedures. 2.if you did these procedures before, where and how much? 3.how long did you stayed in Korea for this procedure? 4.do you need a passport to go to Korea? How much they quote me: Grand= 7200,000 jaw reduction, 2500,000 won eyes Cinderella=12,000,000 vline, cls laser 3800,000(they told me it's to prevent uneven cheek muscle volume), 2,200,000 circle eyes +Eli/lateral method 3400,000 Banobagi=12500,000 masseter muscle reduction,boneshave Grand is quoting me the cheapest, hmmm... Do you guys have any thought on this? As you can see the pricing between grand and Cinderella/banobagi is one gap of a difference. Paying lesser is what we're all hoping for, but I'm pretty sure the most important thing to all of us here is the final result. So please if you can help me out. I would really appreciate this. In fact, if you do more then 1 surgery, they will offer a discount. But i was really looking at choosing a surgeon that will do a good job, no bad records and do not do many surgeries a day. The surgery was done very well in my case. I had swelling but much less compared to others and it likely attributed by the surgeon's expertise according to my translator. Good luck! bella147 Posted September 16, 2013 Share Posted September 16, 2013 I'm not on the 'market' for b00bs, but my translator said that Migo (in Korea) is one the most well-known places to get a new set of 'fillets' but the Dr gets booked up so getting an actual surgery date may not be immediate ??? not sure tho i met the actual dr for consult for eye & nose and i really liked him Otherwise japan is a good place to get BA as they are able to get the most natural looking set for you...altho they are more expensive sorry i can't be too much help, but hopefully i've given you a starting point to continue ur research Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I sent emails with photos to banobagi and grand but no reply.. Did you email Cinderella or use their online consultation form? Guest Posted September 17, 2013 Share Posted September 17, 2013 Just a disclaimer, this will be a long post about my experiences and will be unedited and rambl-y. As I am typing this, I am 2 days post-op and although I'm quite swollen, I feel generally okay. I hired translators (pm me if you want to know their names) to assist me as I traveled here alone and this is my first trip to Seoul and I'm really glad that I did. I came to Seoul with the intention of doing rhinoplasty and maybe mini v-line and in the end, I've had rhinoplasty and fat grafting done. I will try to be as detailed as possible and remember as much as I can but please be aware that this is biased in my view and that I am giving my honest opinion which is likely to differ from others. My intention with typing this post is to help give forumers and silent readers (I was one of them for a looong time) alike a general understanding of what to expect and hopefully help them make a more informed decision as surgery is a huge thing Consultations: After arriving in Seoul and checking into my hotel the night before, I began my consultations at 10am on Friday 13th (black friday anyone?!). The weather was really grey and rainy and humid and it seemed like an awful way of starting my trip. However, I went outside to the convenience store to buy and umbrella and met my translator in the lobby of my hotel and headed over to JW Clinic first. JW: The clinic seemed quite nice and cozy upon first impression, there were other customers seated and waiting. The receptionist girls were quite pretty and their uniforms seemed very... stewardess-y lol. It was overall a good impression. I didn't have to wait too long and first had to fill in forms about what I wanted to do and talked to a consultant. This was then followed by a consultant with the surgeon himself, Dr Suh, for rhinoplasty. He seemed like an fatherly-type figure and was very gentle and humble. I felt very comfortable talking to him and he listened to what I wanted and nodded his comprehension. He felt around my nose and face and his touch was very gentle and careful. He suggested shaving away the slight hump on my nose, using a silicone implant, using the septal cartilage (within the nose) to raise the tip and alarplasty to reduce my alar base which was in line with what I wanted. I didn't want a drastic change and I felt he understood that I was after a natural looking result. Afterwards, I was taken to consult with Dr Seul, the facial contouring and breast augmentation specialist, and he suggested a v-line to slim down my jaw cutting away at the mandible and advancing my chin forward or inserting an implant in my chin. I decided that I didn't want to go under general anaesthesia in this visit as it was my very first and I was alone so I said no to any bone cutting. He suggested fat grafting which was less invasive and a possible 'substitute' to make my chin fuller and I was quite interested in this. He also said that for best results, a touch up would be needed after 3 months (as they keep our fat for 3 months max) since the fat will be reabsorbed around 40% but majority would still remain. Although I had only considered this for my chin, he said he'd also inject the fat to fill up my forehead (it was a little flat) and on the middle of my cheeks (near the nose) to fill up any 'hollows' in my face. I did like Dr Seul but I was still more intent on doing rhinoplasty and decided to think about this fat grafting for a little more. Afterwards, I saw another consultant to talk about the price and she said that for my rhinoplasty: 1. shaving hump 2. implant 3. tiplasty 4. alar reduction = 6,250,000 won (without bargaining). Fat grafting was 3,000,000 won but she'll make it 2,500,000won if I did it with rhinoplasty bringing the total to 8,750,000 won. By this time, although I wasn't sure of the price and it was only my first consultation, I was quite eager to have Dr Suh as my surgeon because I liked him that much but the consultant couldn't find a free slot for me until 1 week later (after the Korean thanksgiving holiday this week) but I was only here for 2 weeks. Finally after some phone calls and the consultant checking with other people, she informed us that Dr Suh could be available the following day in the morning but I had to call them back before 5pm today to confirm it. This was great news as I wanted to have the surgery asap and I was quite determined to call JW before 5pm after the rest of my consultations. I asked her about post-op care and she said their provided a care package with ice packs, gauzes, masks, pumpkin juice, medicine, LED (facials?) to help deswelling and hair washing (all for free). Overall the consultations took no more than 1 hr and it did not feel too rushed. Regen: My next consultation was at Regen and there I met my other translator (my translators were a 'team') who apologised for not making it in the morning. I told her it wasn't a problem and we went to see a consultant after waiting for a while. Once again, had to fill in a form about what I wanted to get done etc. Regen also had a menu of drinks (hot and cold choices of lattes, I had a green tea latte) for free and my translators ordered some of the drinks while we waited. The consultant seemed to be quite familiar with my translators as they had a few laughs when they met and we discussed what I wanted and I asked all of my questions. I was then told to wait before consulting with the surgeon and I had to wait a while (~1hr?) and my consultant informed me after ~30min than it would be another 20min wait or so because the doctor was operating atm. I didn't really mind as we got another round of free drinks (got an iced mocha) and my translators kept me company and some parts of the conversation were quite hilarious. When the doctor was ready to see me, we were ushered into his office which was small but looked very tidy and I could see the medical certificates all framed (very reassuring). My translator told me that this doctor was quite famous and he appeared on TV before and she thought he was quite handsome but she hasn't really seem him irl. When he arrived, he did look like he just got out of the operating room (dressed in scrubs and just pulled down his mask) and he looked much younger than I expected. His name was Dr Yoo Ji Han and once again he felt around my nose and face and suggested pretty much the same thing except that alarplasty for me may not be necessary because he thought that the base of my nose wasn't all that wide, it just looked wider because it was flat but raising the tip would pull the alars up slightly so it wouldn't look as wide. He mentioned osteotomy which I thought was breaking my nasal bone to make it narrower (which I did not want) but it turns out that shaving down the hump on the nose was considered osteotomy too because it required cutting that part of the bone. Like Dr Suh, he seemed to understand a little English and nodded a few times when I paraphrased his intentions to double check. He also suggested that genioplasty (cutting of the chin bone and advancing it) would give me the best results but since I did not want to be under GA, fat grafting was a good choice. He told me that it would not yield the same results though, more subtle, and I told him I understood and that was what I wanted (nothing too drastic). I also felt very comfortable with Dr Yoo and at this stage, was quite conflicted because I liked both surgeons and felt a good connection with both of them. Afterwards, I went to see the consultant again to discuss the price and schedule and she quoted me 6,000,000 won for rhino (4.5m for open rhino and 1.5 for alarplasty) and 3,000,000 won for fat graft with a total 9,000,000won (without bargaining). My translator asked her for a bit more of a discount and she said 8,000,000 won if I paid in cash. The total was 'cheaper' than JW but when I asked about post-op care, they only provided the standard icepack/gauze/pumpkin juice for free. Even with the medicine, they only provided a prescription for you to BUY the medicine yourself (~40,000won). By this time, I was thinking perhaps I shouldn't do alarplasty now - I could always get my nose done and see how much thinner/smaller it looks once the swelling is down, and if I didn't think it was enough, I could do it later (as it didn't require opening up the nose, just cutting out some of the alar). Also, I would probably be doing this along with genio later on when my fat grafting 'wears off' and I wanted my chin to be advanced permanently. That would be better than having my nose too thin (my face is naturally a bit wide and with squishy cheeks) which didn't suit my face because then it's A LOT harder to reverse it. My general philosophy was to take things one step at a time and give myself the time to consider things without rushing. After all, this is my own face and body and since it's my first time having surgery, I wasn't too sure what to expect. The earliest schedule for Dr Yoo was (15th) Sunday 4pm in the afternoon (one day and a bit later) and I was concerned it may not be enough as I could only stay 2 weeks and although I would be here for the 7 days post op check up, I would be 2 days short of my 14th day check up to remove the stitches inside my nose. Though they assured me the stitches inside were dissolvable, the consultant said it was better to take them out anyway because sometimes they didn't dissolve completely for some patients. After Regen, I pretty much made up my mind to choose from JW or Regen unless my next consultation at ID Hospital was stellar.
