Hey all! So I finished going to several different clinics for a consultation for eyes and jaw reduction surgery. I set appoints to see TLPS, Item clinic, View clinic, Girin, and DA. I ended up not going to to view and girin due to time restrictions.

1. My appointment with TLPS was at 10am. It was easy to find and the building is pretty big, clean and very modern looking. I had to pay $30 for the CT scan (which was the only clinic to actually charge me for this) and they also took pictures. I dont recall the name of the doctor i spoke with for the facial contouring specialist but he seemed to know what I wanted and how much I wanted reduce my jawline. I don't think I spent too much time with him but I didn't necessarily felt like I was being rushed. However, due to my tight schuedule, I didn't have time to wait to see the eye doctor. They quoted me roughly 9,000ish just for facial contouring.

2. Item Clinic
I was a bit late for this appointment but the staff here were super friendly. Many biligual assistants (Chinese and english). I did see some patients waiting who got their nose and possible fat grafting which looked like it came out nicely. I took some xrays (no charge) and eventually got to see the doctor. For my eyes, I didn't want my inner corners to get cut because I felt like my eyes were already really close together. But apparently after measuring the distance its not that close. The dr said i could cut the inner and outter corners and suggested a more natural crease. However I wanted something a bit more noticable (since I am paying money for a change, I want it to be noticable right?) then we discussed the facial contouring. Before I spoke with the dr, I told the financial coordinator that I didn't want twojaw surgery and she kept saying I needed twojaw surgery. I kept saying No, I do not want that surgery. And she kept asking me why not, whats the reason. That kind of ticked me off because if i don't want to get something done, I just dont want it. And the dr also asked me why I didn't want twojaw surgery and I just plainly said because of the pain, time to recover, money and im not looking into getting something that dramatic done to my face. His alternative was the v-line surgery but he said it would make my chin look blunt and straight (no curve). I was a bit disappointed and already knew this was not the clinic for me. It was the cheapest though. Eyes and v-line was laround 9,500.

3. I skipped view and went straight to DA because of the main doctor who created his own pratice. I walked in and there were a lot of pretty assistants. His B&A are amazing. I took my x-ray and consulted with the dr. He took his time to explain what I needed. He said, although I do need twojaw surgery because my bite is a bit off, it won't solve my long chin problem. So he said doing the v-line ost is the best option for me. He also said he can rotate the chin after cutting it so it creates that curve. He didn't push anything on me and asked me if i had anymore questions. After speaking with the coordinator, they charged me 12,000 for eyes and v-line! I was just so shocked I was speechless. I told them I would call them back.

4. Regen- Very big, beautiful and has a lotlotlot of patients. I had to wait 2 hours to just see the facial contouring doctor. He also seemed very skillful and talked thru the procedure. His english is also pretty great however, whenever he answered me in english, I felt like he was being condensending. Overall it was okay. Then they said I would have to wait more to see the eye doctor and at this point I just couldn't. The price was okay ranges from 9000-10,000 for both eyes and v-line. The only thing I did not like about this place was that since its TOO big, it didn't feel intimate. If there are so many patients, how will I know they will be able to focus on me during my surgery and my aftercare? Well thats just me.

Anyways. This is my experience! I still have yet to decide..

Thank you for your detailed descriptions. Did you need a translator at DA? Can the doctor explain everything to you in English?

I actually had a friend come with me to all my consults and to help translate. I think the Dr at DA understands english but we didn't communicate in english.

Wow they still quoted you the most out of all your consultations even though you went with a local friend, not a translator. It seems he charges more now than at View.
