kimjoo Posted December 6, 2012 Share Posted December 6, 2012 Hello everyone! Today I had my 2 week post-op appointment for two-jaw surgery at Grand. As soon as I got there, I got my deswelling face treatment. I got there early so I had to wait about an hour for my surgeon to come in. When he arrived, I told him my teeth were not aligned and were not fitting into the splint. It was not a good sign because I would not be able to go to the orthodontist... I was in the most pain I have ever been in during this whole experience. My surgeon pushed my bottom teeth and jaw to fit into the splint. My jaw did not hurt at all but my teeth hurt like a b*tch!!!!!!! Then, I got my jaws elastic-banded like crazy to train my jaw to close in this new position for an hour. I went out, had a coffee, and bought a cozy scarf. One hour later, the crazy elastic bands were taken off and everything was back to normal... Somewhere after my 1 week appointment, it seems my left side bottom jaw got lazy hehe. I learned to put on elastics in a different way so that my teeth stay aligned. As for swelling, most of it is gone~ I just have a bit of stubborn swelling on my cheeks, which I hate because it makes my jawline look a bit square. I had a chance to look at my post-op CT scan and saw my jawline. Very niiice since I was kind of scared it would look square! Can't wait for the remaining swelling to go down. My homework for the next two weeks is to continue with hot packs, walk, drink LOTS of fluids, eat as much as possible (VERY soft foods), and best of all practice smiling~! Smiling hurt a little during the last week, but today I felt a lot better. I can also start drinking through straws... SO EXCITED because this means I'm closer to eating normal foods again. Or do you wear the transparent glasses? I checked out their rhinoplasty B&As and think they look REALLY good. Seems to me they kinda specialize in rhino+nasolabial augmentation. If anyone's got anything to say bout this clinic am all ears. Thank you. ^^ I was also wondering.. do you have any thoughts on Wonjin Clinic? I had them crossed off on my list of potential clinics a long time ago (I heard a patient died there ), but it's come up a lot in my research, and I know I'm crazy, but I'm looking into it more. I just remember reading a lot of negative comments (not necessarily reviews) about Wonjin Clinic before, but I wonder if it's because Dr. Wonjin himself didn't perform their surgery? There are a lot of other doctors from Wonjin Clinics in different locations, so I wonder where the majority of negative comments are directed. All of the positive reviews I've read for Wonjin Clinic so far have been from Korean patients who actually had their surgeries done by Dr. Wonjin himself. *sigh* It's really confusing. Anyway, what sparked my interest for Wonjin again is the heaps of popular ulzzangs on their website (something called the Wonjin Ulzzang Project?). So I think they had their surgeries done there, but there's only so much I can deduce from Google Translate lol. Could you please check if they indeed had their surgeries done there? Is that what you observed as well? I honestly haven't looked into pre and post-op diets that much. But if you're feeling/healing fine, then I think you're ok. Just check with your doctor. I think it's when a person gets surgeries like v-line, zygoma or 2-jaw that seaweed or alcohol can be a potential problem. It seems like you're having a good time in Korea.. it makes me even more excited to go there! And I'm really glad your boyfriend has kept your mind off of your eyes. Maybe I should try get a boyfriend before going to Korea? lol By the way, have you gotten your stitches taken out yet? How are your eyes looking now? Is the unneveness still very present? If you want to upload pictures to PF, and your phone has internet, just go to the bottom of the PF page and click the button "go advanced." Then click "manage attachments," find the photos, and upload them that way. If you need to send the photos to a computer first, then just send the pictures from your phone to an email, and download them on a computer. onetwo Posted December 7, 2012 Share Posted December 7, 2012 i think your eyes look good. i don't notice uneven lids at all. oh yeah, i thought one eye was bigger than the other @ 1st, but when i covered your bruise with my finger, they both look same size. i think uneveness is just the illusion your bruising makes keke. i know it's still a little early to tell but how do you like your eyes after surgery? they were already big before lol are they bigger now? they look natural in photo. how about irl? ilove9988 Posted December 7, 2012 Share Posted December 7, 2012 Tbh, I like my right eye more than my left eye. I prefer my right eye more cos of the height of the fold. It seems bigger and more parallel to me. But it's still ok, left eye is still not bad too. Swelling has gone down a lot compared to day 1. I met up with a guy friend today and yesterday. At first glance he commented my eyes condition are much better today than yesterday. Hmmm, I feel that my eyes used to look tired and like has no live, whereas now it looks fresher & more awake (thou still bruised).
