onetwo
I see, is the difference really noticeable or is just something you notice? and did your doctor say he was gonna do a higher fold and just messed up? or did you guys agree on the height you have now but you just like a higher height now that you've seen how it's gonna look? ilove9988
Yup it's snowing in Korea now! Freezing cold. I wear the nerdy thick frame glasses and for the 2 days post op I wore a cap. The glasses i got were good enough to cover my bruises. So far I don't feel like I've attracted attention. I think eating spicy food is fine. I had seafood/alcohol after surgery, and yesterday when I went to the clinic to remove stitches, the nurses said my eyes are healing well, no inflammation etc. I'm just lucky I guess! Don't be encouraged by me thou!. Best if u can try to minimise, cos we react differently. Good luck & eat more fruits!!!! I ate quite a bit of pineapple last month
ilove9988
Yup! It's located in the most convenient location. Exit 11 @ gangnam station& turn right. U will see a little stage called "gangnam style". The building is directly opposite the stage. We agreed on the height. But now I think I could have been braver and get an even higher fold. Nah the doctor didn't mess anything up, everything went smoothly. I'm just greedy hehe thanks!!! i had partial incision with a little fat removal. Ya I think the swelling went down fast cos of the cold weather & I've been walking non-stop.

april_may
Uzura (a forum member) posted this: There is a difference between rib and rib cartilage (costal cartilage). People should made sure the surgeon is telling them exactly which one he's going to be using because there's a HUGE difference in healing and such. I'm an ICU RN, I take care of children who undergo open chest surgeries for their CHDs, I can attest to the fact that costal cartilage and ribs are very different. Also, our costal cartilage harden over time, so by age 45 or so they will have similar qualities of ribs. Consequently, you can't decide to have a rhinoplasty with your own costal cartilage beyond your mid-40s. Something to think about.

april_may
Rhinoplasty something to think about: Originally Posted by koreanboy Park Won Jin is doing my nose and Lee Seon Gu is doing my chin. Wonjin is one of the biggest and most well-known plastic surgery clinics in Korea. I was actually surprised that so many of you seem to be going to places that are totally unknown in Korea, like Simmian (with this Dr. Jung guy?) and VIP. I'd never heard of them, and no one in Korea knows anything about them. The biggest, best-known places are Dream, Grand, BK, Wonjin, ID... I'm guessing places like Simmian and VIP only target foreigners because they're not popular in Korea ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- izora Member JOINED: JAN 2010 POSTS: 135 STATUS: OFFLINE Actually there are far more Koreans at VIP than foreigners. While I was there for 2 weeks, there were only 2 other foreigners besides myself. The place was always busy and flooded with locals, and I wasn't even there during peak season. VIP doesn't even advertise like all the other clinics that you mentioned, which is probably why you've never heard of them. They mostly get their clients through word of mouth from former patients. The doctors (one eye specialist and one nose specialist) there don't really speak fluent English, so you have to communicate through the office manager who coordinates all the foreigners. The manager speaks great English because she used to live in the U.S. VIP is probably not as popular as most of the clinics in South Korea that use implants like silicone or goretex. Most people want to use artificial implants because it's affordable, so of course clinics that only offer those will be more mainstream. VIP gets a lot of patients who have had failed multiple rhinoplasties using implants. Remember, implants will never last your entire lifetime. You have to get them replaced. I'd be very suspicious of any doctor that claims otherwise. Basically your choices are very limited if you want a doctor who specializes in rib rhinoplasty or autologous rhinoplasty. When I mean specialize, I mean a doctor who has many years of experience and performs the procedures daily.
nosecorrection
Hi MiaAnn, thank you for your reply. that is exactly what i think. I have a friend who, i believe, has done a surgery to get double eyelid. the scar is so clear when she closes her eyes or blinks. How long ago did you do your surgery? has the scar start to fade ? How long exactly the recovery period is gonna be? Many thanks
nosecorrection
Hi guys, will the scar after double eyelid surgery fade eventually? I really don't want to get any scar on my eyes which will be very obvious when closing or blinking the eyes. I went to different websites seeing tons of B/A photos but they were all taken when eyes are open. please share some of your experience with me, Please!!!! many thanks Nosecorrection
nosecorrection
Dear all, I am very concerned about scars after eye surgeries. I am planning to get double eyelid surgery and eye bag removal surgery. However, both surgeries seem likely to have scars. I have been researching for a while. the B/A photos can't tell me the truth whether there is obvious scar when closing and blinking the eyes. I have friends who have done these surgeries and they all have very clear scar on their eyes and unluckily, they are permanent. I sent emails to some clinics such as BK and was told yes, there will be scar but not big.... dear beauties, could you please share your invaluable experience with me?? highly highly appreciated!!!!!! Many many thanks Nosecorrection (Judy)
