For those going in Jan & Feb:

List of winter festivals taking place in KR.
http://english.visitkorea.or.kr/enu/SI/SI_EN_3_6.jsp?cid=1437751

Guess skiing and snowboarding is definately out for most of us. But anyone interested to go icefishing?

Went last year and it was really fun!
Think this is the only activity that I will be able to do with bandages on my face. :roflmfao:

Hey CJChen and Karime,

You guys should also check out the noodle shops - there's a few Pho places around your the PS area and a Korean noodle place opposite of JW (or kind of opposite of JW). I know it will get very boring eating porridge/ soft foods everyday. So glad you guys had each other!

Karime,

Awww - hang in there! At least you have a lot of forumers there with you. You should go out regardless and enjoy the time there. I really miss Seoul! Btw, when are you coming home?

Do you have Kakao? I can ping you my pics if you would like.

my alar base is incision. i only had an hour before surgery before I was notified that dr said i needed alar. i appreciated the fact that dr went over my pix again but i really wished more was said or looked over while my real face was right there in front. but i can't blame as he came out of surgery to see me.

i asked for rhino specialist and consultant receommended dr hong. their english translator who is a very sweet girl shared with me that dr hong is v busy and has many patients. dr jeong who is the director is apparently good with eyes.

btw girls i consulted for eyes too. i would have gone with migo for eyes. during consultation migo shared with me their scarless epi method, and my friend told me her translator had hers done at migo. and it looked good and natural a week post op.

I know what you mean. My cousin n mom got their noses at Cinderella and pretty happy with the results too.
Were u able to get ur surgery the next day? I got email for non incicsion alar base but do have any idea what are they doing for non-incision alar base reduction?
I hope you're recovering well

ok i feel there's hope now hearing your mom and cousin got pretty noses. what did it end up like? did they do it with dr jeong or dr hong?

i went for consultation on fri and sat, with surgery on mon (17 dec) as planned. i honestly think it was easier for me to secure a surgery date with cinderella maybe because its pricey hence people go elsewhere. my friend wanted to do some works with id but isn't able to as they are booked till early jan.

yep am recovering okay. my nose doesn't hurt. the 1st night was the worse as i couldn't have water till 3 hours after surgery. i could only breath through my mouth as my nose was stuffed with cotton wool. it was tough cos my throat was dry and the air was dry. i would advise having lots of tissue and a water bottle with a straw to keep sipping water to lubricate your throat.

i had the cotton wool removed and stitches cleaned up. no pain at all.

yep total crap right. as long as the results end up exactly as what i hoped for. from their point of view i would understand if extra charges are required for the additional, but seriously a big big discount should have been given. or maybe they wouldn't expect an honest sharing of experience like this.

true true but from my own experience, if you are looking for a big reduction in a bulbous nose, you do need an alar base reduction. I wanted a less bulbous nose but didn't do alar at the time. Thus, my nose still bubous and too wide.. now need a revision :sweatdrop:

oh dear where did you get yours done? how come you didn't do alar?

consultant actually said i could come back to do alar if i din have enough cash. which to me was ridiculous because i am expecting the best results and recommendations a professional clinic can give. not based on a ala carte menu of what i can and cannot pay.

I had mine done at grand. But they gave a good reason for it and I had to agree. My face is very wide and big and if I did alar my nose would look oddly small. I need to do facial contouring first then fix alar

Their noses were so pretty and natural...for my cousin i didnnt know she got nose job at firsst...she came back after a month travelinv looking so pretty...then i founf out later she got work done....but her nose was 3500 USD...it was cheap compared to what they quote me...they quoted me 4500000 krw
I thought dr. Jeong did hers bc in the email they said all this woek would be done by dr. Jeong jongpil so i. Jus assuming dr. Jeong...i will ask her n let u kno...and dont worry about ur nose ..it willl be so beautiful

Alot of korean stars go to Cindy so I think Adora is in the right hands (although increasing the charge at such short notice is very unprofessional).

I was thinking of Cinderella before, but what deterred me from the clinic was the price, since I heard it was pricey. Well I could always consult with 4 clinics anyway, I just found the english version of their website and omg! Their eyes especially look great. The difference is so dramatic.

Doesn't matter, I'll try to bargain down.

Edit//

I decided Yeon Hee's nose looks better. She's like one of the VERY few natural korean celebs, and her nose looks nice.
