Thiefcat,

How are you healing? Hope all is well.

I was just curious, how are your eyes and the swelling? I'm almost two weeks now and i still have a bit of swelling left. i think you're on week 3 or 4? Did you see significant improvement from week 2 to now?

Thanks and happy new year!

Oh yeah, did you consult Migo? I've narrowed it down to them too. Do you find that Dr Suh follows what you wish for, like if you want a more rounded tip, he does it instead of making it really thin and sharp?

Thanks

the most angry is they did not think they did wrong. THe manager who my friend has met the last yesterday said it was just a skin treatment not a surgery. the doctor does not need to be so disinfected and prepared. She chose JW because its reputation in this forum, but it is so disappointing to experience the whole process.
http://jwbeauty.net/ the female doctor on the left was the one did the treatments.
We don't trust them anymore and it is reasonable to get some refund, but they just said in a very cold way: not possible! they know we are foreigners, we have no way to seek legal attention. My friend went there at 3:30pm, left at 8pmish angrily in tears...

From her experience, we really want to let everybody know be prepared to be treated like this in Seoul clinics such as JW.. think it twice before making any decision!

Sorry to hear you've been having problems :/
You signed a contract, it's not possible to get a refund that easily. The contract you signed voids them of any responsibility. What you should have done is do 'x' instead of initials, hence they will be more liable for any mistakes made.
You would obviously need to seek legal action if you're looking to that route.

Actually my friend did not sign anything. the doctor did not even take a photo for her before the treatments. THe attitude the admin and doctors treated this issue was the part we were angry the most. Not professional.. so not professional.. because they know we could do nothing about it. we are leaving this country soon. I would never recommend JW to anybody.

Hey guys,
I arrived in Seoul in the early morning on Jan 2nd (5:00AM ). I had my consultations with Cinderella and Migo. I decided to go with Migo for nose and chin. And many of you may notice that my first choice was always Cinderella so here is why. Hope it helps!

Cinderella:
I got a warm n friendly welcoming from the girls in the front desk. Cinderella has many many female staffs in the front. I would say more than 15 girls. I communicated with them through emails and such and specifically asked for seeing Dr. Jeong in person 2 days before my consultation. They said yes!
Well....I could not even meet with the doctor. But I met with the head consultant lady instead. After discussing what needs to be done. She gave me the price that is 1 mil higher than what she quoted me in the email. 6,500,000 KRW for silicone and tip plasty (quite pricey huh?) but i had prepared lots of cash with me and I was ready to pay 1 mil more to get my surgeries done at Cinderella. IT WAS MY FIRST CHOICE!!! 4,500,000 KRW for silicone chin implant or 7,500,000 KRW for sliding genioplasty (not mini v-line, just pushing the chin forward). She kept pushing for silicone implant because she said for sliding genioplasty...she's afraid there's not gonna be a smooth line if the sides are not also shaved (saving the sides are more expensive too). I asked for discount and said that all will be paid in cash but she said the price is the same and at the moment the disocunt will be 500,000 KRW less from the total which excludes 10% tax!!!!
I was still fine because I saw results from Cinderella and like them. Then she asked me to have x-rays and said that it costs $200....WTH! I feel like I'm back in NY again for my surgeries! at this point I was so turned off! She said there will be more discounts if I decided to do surgeries with them. I asked how much more and she said she can't tell. So I was like if you can't tell me then how can I be sure that I have prepared enough to pay u guys. And I left! in disappointments. I did not even meet my doctor. Later on though, after I decided with Migo and paid already, I received a katalk message from Cinderella saying that there might be misundestatndings between my translator and the head consultant (it's ridiculous! we've asked many times when she said 200 bucks for x-ray n she said yes! and the price too) and would like me to meet with the Dr. again. But it's too late. I've already made up my mind.

Before going to Migo, I and my translator had a coffee time together. I strongly believe that she has helped me making a right decision for my surgeries areas. I said earlier I wanted sliding genioplasty. She was against it because im also getting nose done too. It would be too much. I was against it too! but I've been talking to ppl who want to get surgeries done and sliding genioplasty seems to be such a good permanent solution. That's y I wanted it. But I was not mentally prepared for cutting my chin bone. When I said gbye to my bf n mom with the thought of having bone surgery, I cried a lot. I was so scared and feel nauseated many times thinking of it. So I told my translator how I felt, and she told me that my chin is not really bad and if im not mentally ready for it then don't do it. She was worried that I will be traumatized later on. And suggest me fat graft.

Migo:
We went there earlier than the time of our appointment so I had to wait. I could not stop staring at the consultant and even their nurses are so cute and pretty. I really like how they look. I had my CT scan x-ray (it costs $20). I met with the consultant lady then the doctor. My Dr. was Dr. Kang. He is nose and facial specialist at Migo. They only have 3 drs there. Small clinic but very busy. He is very nice and HUMANE. I gave him the picture of nose I like (Han Ga In's nose) and pics that I don't like. He and the consultant wrote lots of details for my surgery. He suggested me to do osteonomy for my bone since I already have bridge for my nose and my eyes are already huge.. so silicone will pull them too closely. And he told me if im afraid of silicone then he will put a bit of my ear's cartilage in the dent between my bridge and the new tip which he has to raise to its max. Because I want nose like Han ga in. ANd he suggested fat graft for chin, a bit on forehead and very little on my cheeks. Then we discussed the price. I got 8,800,000 KRW from 9,500,000 KRW and the price is inclusive (hospitalization for 1 night including meal in the morning. The cost for hospitalization is 100,000 KRW/ night). It is so much less than what I prepared to pay and feel so safe here so I decided getting surgeries with them on the same day. My surgeries was at 7pm on Jan 2nd.
The reason I said the Dr. and their staff were humane because I felt like they do not only want my money. They put my safety first. I told them I had asthma and the anesthesia specialist asked me many details about it such as when I last have it. But mine is a very mild case so she said it's ok but I have to always keep being calm and do not get too stressed. For my fat graft experience, it wasn't painful at all...maybe the numb shot but the process of getting fat out is like getting a massage and the dr. is a lady so she's really being gentle to me. All of the staff n the drs who did n helped with my surgeries repeatedly told me that they will do the safest and most gentle procedure for me since they know I have asthma and I don't need to worry about it. I was surprised that they even had an inhaler for me and asked me to breath it in before getting me under anesthesia. I was so nervous that I forgot how to use it. It was really funny and I think they had a good laugh before my surgeries. And yes before surgeries I met with Dr. ang again and photos were taken. He wiggled on my face and laughed.

I was very nervous but the thought of not having bone surgery burned down a lot of pressure for me. Until now, 2 days post-op. I'm still thankful for my translator n the clinic's advice. I strongly believe that I would have been traumatized from bone surgery and all the girls out there that got bone surgeries. You are so freaking brave and have my respects! When I woke up from anesthesia, I was afraid to breath for a moment and I finally realized that I did it. I was so happy!! But my throat was so painful...like there are sharp rocks in it. The nurse came and gave me a mirror. I wasn't swollen at all and doesnt look like a different person (so glad!). She later gave me water n took care of me through out the night because I could not sleep. Try to drink as much of liquid as you can guys! It helps a lot. Now I am a bit more swollen compared to when I woke up but my swelling is no where compared to others who went under the same procedures. Now my swelling moves to mid face. I have no blood in the eyes from nose osteonomy. I'm doing fine in general. I really like my result and I can't wait to see it without the cast. The Dr. must have been really gentle with my face. I feel swollen but not bad at all...I force myself to eat alot and take all my medicines on time. I started walking a bit today. I met one forumer and she;s also having surgeries with migo now! I'm keeping my finger crossed for her so you guys pls do the same! And any one would like to meet up pls pm me and we will get in touch.

Thank you all for the infos and experiences. I might not be on the forum often because I really want to focus on my recovery, eat lots, n sleep lots....haha...but pm me and I will more than happy to answer any question!
