I am 4weeks post op now and I feel normal now - i feel more free to do stuff to my nose as before i was very careful with it.

It looks more natural too and no one can tell anymore as most of the swelling has gone now.

the tip has changed a lot in some ways - it isn't super pointy, but i didnt want that but its definitely less bulbous but not so much that it doesn't fit my face. But i think the tip takes the longest to de-swell? so it might go down more as the months go on. hopefully not too much as I kind of like it where it is now at 4-weeks.

I will try and get some better b+as from front view as well, as I know side view doesnt show the best.

I had lateral osteotomy and my bruising and majority of facial swelling around my cheeks went down by 2.5weeks post op.

now i am 4-weeks and I am completely normal.

i took supplements to help and i walked a lot, so i would definitely suggest this.
I took vit c, bromelain and vit a.

I went to Juno Hair which charges 35,000 won for a haircut, that includes wash, dry, style, beverage & crackers LOL. I dyed my hair + treatment which was another 150,000 won. They are definitely one of the more expensive haircuts. I believe smaller shops charge a haircut around 10k - 20k won.

I really liked Juno though, they are remarkably one of the best hairstylists i've come across.

I have booked consultation at JW, Regen and BK. All of them emailed me back. I wanted to add one more clinic to my list since JW is on top of my list but seems like it's fully booked till the end of Apr...so I need to have more options just in case I can't go for JW.

My friend's friend just got her nose done at Dream with really good result..that's why I wanted to try Dream :shucks:

I'm planning for rhinoplasty for the bridge, tip and alar.

Hello,

earlier on I asked onlyif whom got the free sim card too he mentioned that:

you can get it from a small unassuming bookshop in Incheong Airport when you arrive. Just ask the Tourist Info Counter where is "K bookstore" will do. You get a free sim card (can choose micro sim or normal sim) and it comes with a local number free 8 local minutes, and 35 mb local date.

So I will try to get it when I go there hopefully it is still available =)

wow thanks SeoulforReal , chris alexander and sesamekiss for replying to my question!
It is really helpful.
I guess I will not be getting a translator as I do not want to take my chance of having to pay more for my surgery fee. I'm on a tight budget! :nogood:

On the average, how many clinics can we visit in 1 afternoon? Do we have to make appointment with them online first for consultation or can we just walk in?

You have to check if your phone is compatible with the phone networks over there first, which would be very rare. Its not as simple as getting a sim as it is in other countries because South Korea use a specific type of network called CDMA. I know the UK phones won't work because we use GSM.

Little bit of interesting info i came across, even if your phone is compatible with the sim cards in Korea, they might not let you use your phone anyway due to "legal allowability". I don't know how strictly enforced this rule is though.

Hi barbiegirl,

you probably can visit 3-4 clinics per day, but it will depend on the period you intend to have consultations. if crowded, some forumers explained they had to wait 2 hours to see the surgeon so try to get enough time between your appointments.

In my opinion, I think you can just walk in except for peak times, but it may be safer to book online first so that they might also take you into account for the surgery planning (potentially).... some clinics also offer pick up service from the airport (to check with the clinics you choose) so I guess it is surely better to book online... and for a foreigner this pick up is a plus :woohoo:

hope that helps

Hey

Yeah you need to go to Kbookstore and then you will get a free sim card.
YOu need to download an app called "visit korea" and then they will give you one and also you need to show your passport.
I did this, although in the end the sim didn't even work in my phone :\
not really sure why...

but good luck! ^_^

Exchanging Money Questions:
I'm leaving for my trip tonight and had a few questions about exchanging USD for KRW.

1, Where is the best place to exchange your money? I hear that the COEX casino gives a good rate, but I just want to hear of other places.

2, If I have money left over, where is the best place to exchange KWR back to USD? Would it be better to change it back in my country? Or in Korea?
