there are plastic surgery forums on naver but it is hard to navigate and you need a korean friend to help you find the forums and to translate.

you can also try to find chinese forums which is probably easier since chinese forums do not require you to have a ssn to register an account.

it might be possible to register on naver without a ssn but you would have to google it for the steps to follow

Hi Rachy,

I can't pm because I just signed up and I need to wait a few days.

I'm still swollen actually, and I'm too shy to show my photos

But if you'd like, I have a whole collection of before and after photos of others who had ASO.

Pitangui quoted me 9mil won for ASO and 6mil for Zygoma, and because I was doing combined surgery, they gave me a discount.

Hello again to everyone

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO ANYONE CONSIDERING SURGERY TO READ THE INFORMATION BELOW.

Firstly, to make things simpler, I made a simple blog with my entire surgery experience broken down to chapters.. for those who wish to know.

Here's the link: alexviela.wordpress.com

But I feel there is some VITAL information I must share with those who are considering facial surgery in Korea.

1. For those considering OZ Clinic, I've had a procedure there in the past, and I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

Dr. Park seem like a nice person, though I don't know him outside the work facility. However, his aesthetic and surgical skills..I seriously condemn.

I would never recommend OZ to a friend, and neither to you. AVOID

2. If you are having a long surgery/ies and will be under general anesthesia for several hours, they MIGHT use a urinal bag on you. And I don't mean a dipper sort of thing. It's a tube that is stuck down your Urethra (pee hole) into which your urine will just drip by itself. MAKE SURE YOU ASK ABOUT THIS at whichever clinic you're going to go with, so you dont have any surprises like I did.

I don't know how others handle it, but I felt extrem discomfort/pain with it and requested it to be taken out. They said it was impossible because it wasn't recommended for me to get up to the bathroom, but after complaining for some time, they finally took it out, AND THAT, my friends.. really hurt.

Be on the look out. I would hate for anyone else to go through this.

3. I mention this bit in detail in my blog.

I had an immense amount of help from a contact I was referred to by a friend's friend in Korea. She provides a service I haven't heard of before, but definitely one I found essential, at least for me.

I dont want this to seem like promoting, but I did get so much help from this girl, I'd feel bad not sharing this with you.

To sum up, we had a long on going communication process through out which she helped me with info on surgeries, places to stay, clinics, and she made me photo simulations with the surgery effect I wanted to achieve. (I took them to each clinic I went to, to show the Doctors exactly what I hoped for)

I honestly learned a lot of important details I didn't know about. I don't know if it seemed like that because I'm a newbie :shame: but it's always a good idea to get help from someone with much experience in this kind of field.

She prefers to keep a low profile and works mostly by referral, so pm me if you would like her contact info.

4. If you're having ASO or Two-Jaw, I can't stress enough about how much easier your life will be the day of and after surgery if you have a friend or family member take care of you. You will be hospitalized for a minimum of 1 night, and nurses will take care of you. But I needed help SO MUCH and SO OFTEN, I can't even begin to imagine what it would be like if my friend wasn't sitting next to me through out the entire sleepless night.

I had cheekbones done too, but after waking up from anesthesia, there was no pain in that area, AT ALL. My mouth however, was a whole other story. Again, if you want to know about the entire experience, please read it in Chapter 6 on my blog I made specifically dedicated to the surgery.

If I missed anything, I will post more tips and info. I hope this helps someone :amuse:

Would be appreciate you can share more about OZ!! What surgery you have done in OZ before? Is it become failure surgery or anything bad things happened to u because of Dr Park? Thanks in advance.

I had a septo-rhinoplasty performed by Dr. Park.
The reason I would not recommend OZ is because if you compare a before and after photo, you would not be able to tell which is before and which is after. Simply because there is no difference.

I couldn't understand what I paid for. I spoke to him about it, but he assured me that it was a good job on his behalf. That is why I seriously question his aesthetic view and surgical skills. If that is what he considers good, I don't know what kind of results you could except from him.

Hey thanks for your sharing.
I was also wondering the difference between his before and after pics as it is not that dramatic to spot out.
Well imo I would love to have a dramatic change (a good change) no matter the implant is.

Hi Alex! How was your surgery? Are you recovering well? I like what Pitangui has done to their models on their site but I would really appreciate them more if the have other before and after pictures. I plan to have canthoplasty and correct my slanted eyes (I posted my pic here if you want to see it). Do you have any idea if they are a specialist in eyes like Teium? Do you know if they have any current promos?

Big and natural? Wow! That's the look I'm looking for because I don't want to look like I had anything done to my face. Would your cousin mind if she posted a picture of her eyes here? I have not contacted any clinics yet but I reckon that once I do, I would shortly follow scheduling in an appointment.

Hi again Alex! Would it be too much to ask if you could share your photos? I am shy too, that is why I blacked out my eyes and just showed my eyelids. I just browsed your blog and saw that you had a $3000 discount. Then you mentioned here that it was because you did it combined with another surgery. I wonder if they will give discounts for only one surgery....

I leave for Seoul on Sunday the 14th of April. I had planned to go to ID Hospital. But after reading all the horror stories on the "factory" I think I'll give it a miss  just not worth the risk.

If anyone who has had surgery in Korea would be kind enough to share their recommendations with me that would be greatly appreciated

Anyone going in Sept? PM me!

I was set to go in December but my dad's health declined and actually had to stay in the hospital for a little over 5 months so I pushed my trip back. I plan on staying for around 3 weeks if anyone wants to hang out!
