xel
I felt that the surgeon there was too arrogant I guess? Him and the other consultants seemed to be bragging about his years of experience a lot, which for me seemed like an attempt to just suck my money. I met with another surgeon from another clinic and there I felt it was much better..
0lotglenmarie
You look so pretty and you should look much better in few months down the road.
xuka
Thank you a lot for your review on JW. Now JW is top on my list of clinics in Korea. I have some questions, I read from others on this forum that they had their noses done by Dr. Suh from JW and that he's a nose specialist. Did you know about him prior to visiting JW? If so, why didn't you choose him? Is Dr. Woo as good as Dr. Suh? Did you request for autologous material for nose bridge and they rejected? lacryssa
I didn't know much about Dr Suh since JW wasn't even on my list for scheduled consultations. I only knew about him after I went back to the hotel that same night and researched more about JW on TPF and Naver. I already had a consultation with Dr Woo, felt comfortable with him and paid deposit so it wasn't a big problem to me. Dr Suh was fully booked during April as well so nothing much I can do about it. I am not sure if Dr Woo is as good as Dr Suh but I am very happy with the results and you can see more of my photos to decide for yourself. Just PM me your email and I can send them to you. I had a budget for both eyes and nose so I couldn't consider rib rhinoplasty. It would be double the price, if I am not wrong. I am not very concerned about having silicone implants on my nose bridge. I thought it shouldn't be a problem if I take good care of it and be very careful during my entire recovery. Silicone is also the easiest for revision so I thought it would be better to leave my options open, just in case I am unsatisfied with how my primary rhinoplasty went. So far, I am satisfied and don't see a need for revision. Unless I become greedy and go for zygoma/v-line in the future and decide that I should get a new nose that matches my new face shape hahaha! lacryssa
Nickymomoca, glenmarie and Bella Thank you for your compliments! Nicky, it was Dr Woo. He is the junior nose specialist at JW. Dr Suh was fully booked during my entire stay and I didnt even schedule a consultation with them before dropping by.
lacryssa
I see. I was actually more concerned about their lack of hmmm.. history, reviews and B&A photos. They say they have been operating for more than 20 years but it feels more like 2 years to me hahaha.
Guest
If you'll be in Korea around 17th June to 27th June, please add me on Kakaotalk! My ID is Teatreeoil123. I realised I didn't register my Kakao ID so if you tried to add me earlier and can't my apologies!!! Hey Soong sister, are you interested in meeting up as well? I've managed to get in touch with Thumberlina and another forumer. The more the merrier!
xuka
I see. Thanks. I don't want to use rib cartilage either as I've heard some complications with it and it leaves scar on your chest area. I'm considering dermis fat graft though. Did they mention it to you?
lacryssa
Yeah, the warping and contractions sound risky to me. Nope, they didn't mention it. I asked for the doctor's recommendation for what suits my nose the best. Does dermis fat graft get reabsorbed?
xuka
Yes, that's the disadvantage of dermis fat. It has about 20% rate of resorption. So the surgeons have to take that into account and use more transplant that needed. Another advantage that I've read is that it's difficult to impossible to shape. But it's well vascularized once in your nose and since it's from your own body rejection and infection don't occur. I think this girl uses dermis fat to augment her nose bridge and she turns out nice Since dermis fat is often harvest from your buttocks, my concern now is whether it will leave any big scar on your behind. jellybean0607
Hi everyone I'm new to this forum! I have been lurking around reading in previous pages to get more info for double eyelid surgery. I just have some questions about the scheduling! I'm thinking about doing consultations with JW, OZ, and Teuim as they are the most mentioned with positive reviews.. I only plan to go there for 7/8 days at the end of Aug 2013. If I want to do consultations with all 3 and decide to go with one of them the next day, am I supposed to book a surgery appointment with all of them first to secure a spot? If i dont make a surgery appointment, what if they are fully booked the next day? How would the scheduling work if I want to do consultations with multiple places and want to do surgery the next day or the day of?? Any help is greatly appreciated!! =)
lexethan
For those who used ear cartilage for your nose tip, how does your ear feel? Can you feel the difference where the cartilage was removed? Thanks.
