incognito81
Haha... Thanks for the reply. It's not on the same month. If I get surgery around Oct 6 and the volleyball tournament is on Nov 30, would that be enough recovery time for me?
shinyglittery
oh oops,. should read more carefully... I don't know, maybe... is the tournament that important? you really don't want to ruin your new face because of a volleyball game... a ball to the face after that time probably (hopefully) won't do anything, an elbow or a shoulder... you really shouldn't risk it~
psp
Dear beauties, Will any kind soul please give me the link to the Naver Cafe with all the before and post PS photo? There was a link to the naver cafe. However i forgot the link was listed on which page (in old and current discussion) I am doing my research on View Clinic. It is honestly driving me a bit crazy to go through both discussions threads again just to look for one link after spending past 3 months reading day and night of all the replies. Thank you in advance, PSP

neverperfect
Hello If only, I am a new member here. I just read your post and saw picture of your scar. I cant imagine how stressful and disappointed it would be to be in your situation, I truly feel for you. Did you notice the stiches was like that already at the beginning? It looks like a result of poor craftsmanship performed by a junior or trainee. They should have the senior to correct it for you free of charge. I wouldn't trust them to work on my face again if they messed up the first time. I'm going to visit Korea this spring for rhino and maybe fat graft. I will definitely cross Grand out from my list. I hope you will find a good doctor to correct your scar. Do not try to get so many thing done at once. Just take one day at a time and stay focus. It seems like a big deal for us but a good surgeon can fix it easily. Just do your homework and research. Thank you for sharing your information. BTW, I found this youtube very informative about rhino tip plasty and how the stitching is done etc... Be aware, its graphic due to actual surgery was recorded. These are some of my research and homework. shinyglittery
I'm so sorry they messed up your surgery that badly I wish you'd spent more time researching, Grand is the most sued clinic in korea... Gets most lawsuits for malpractice... I really hope you win the case and get revisions... big hugs...

kay-jay
Has anyone experienced rashes on and around your nose after rhinoplasty? I'm 3 weeks post-op and am experiencing said rashes.. Hoping against hope that it isn't something serious to worry about!
kay-jay
winterntht, I totally agree with you about the clinic staff at JW, especially the receptionists. Really unfriendly and sulky! Most of them, at least, save for one or two nice ones. Haha. But I guess that's not really the point, a good doctor can negate sulky service staff. shinyglittery
There are so many clinics... We should all be happy when we get to cross one off our lists! Then eventually the good ones remain... ^_^ ----------------------------- Hey I'm posting my summary of the first 80 pages of this thread below. I tried to organize it by topic but it might still be a bit messy... I tried to include EVERYTHING important in it, I hope I succeeded! I'll do the next 450+ pages in the next days... If someone wants to help me let me know, but I'll do it in any case ^_^ I really hope someone finds this helpful... ---------------------- (Summary of the first 80 pages, Part 1/4) ------------ credits marir (so much amazing info, thank you!!) miaAnn reinRain egg_tartlet Karime many many many more... who is angelababy? Note: Regen is NOT good for v-line/chin/jaw, their results are barely noticeable except with one face shape and even then it's only a minor improvement. V-line type operations at Regen will make your skin sag which is the most noticeable part! Check page 109 post #1628 of "Best Plastic Surgery Clinics in Korea" thread for examples/proof. Pics from Regen's own website. ----------- View: 1 amazing transformation "prettiest girl in korea" ------- View blog face: http://blog.naver.com/sangwoolee7_ View blog breasts: http://blog.naver.com/drdoogie73 ----------------- View clinic has amazing reviews n photos but the two doctors looks horribly young.. Abit fake looking, but pretty!" ----------- "I personally wouldn't go to View for rhinoplasty, because some of the noses on the website look a little fake. I think that the doctor who specializes in facial contouring surgery is more experienced than the doctor who performs nose surgeries." ------ "And about View, I actually agree with you. I've seen a lot of the pointy chins, which I do think look a bit fake. But I'm not too turned off by it, because super small faces and intense v-lines are considered beautiful in Korea, so it makes sense that they showcase a lot of those cases on their site, and other sites as well. You'll find similar v-line pictures in a popular clinic such as Small Face, because that's the kind of look a lot of Koreans like." (what's fake? Intense is good, what's not to like?) "I actually remember reading an online consultation on Small Face, asking why all of the girls on the site have such intense v-lines, and the consultant answered that they asked for it, but the doctors are capable of much natural results if you just ask." (Remember to be clear about what you want...) "I think this is the case for View as well, because my friend came into her consultation with a picture of Gemma Ward, asking to look like her. But she also said that above all, looking natural was her #1 priority, even if it meant a smaller nose bridge, or smaller eyes, or less angled v-line. Now, I can tell she had surgery done because I've seen the transformation, but for a stranger passing her by on a road, they'd think she was natural." --reply: "LOL v-est v line, yeah...They are pretty but look alittle like clones. " (What's wrong with clones???) "Yeah, I feel like a lot of girls that get intense v-line surgeries run the risk of looking like other girls who've done the same surgery" (Hey, some of us are okay with that... " in a place like America, I feel like their look would stand out as different, so I'm not too worried about getting a v-line that looks like everyone else's. So long as it's natural and looks good, I'm happy, because I know that realistically, people won't be comparing me to other girls who've had v-line surgery in Korea lol." (Good point as well!) ------------ "mandibular angle reduction is jus the reduction of the jawline whereas, v-line is combine with jaw+chin. There are pple who do zygoma+vline or zygoma+mandibular reduction in one shot but i'm not too sure if buccal fat removal to. So, at that time, you can gaudge how your eyes will look like eventually. " ----------- Iaan warned about some clinics doing procedures you didn't ask for (posted a about a girl who had 2-3 2-jaws in Seoul and got a genioplasty she didn't ask for) (Don't let this scare you from getting jaw surgery in Korea though, the good Korean surgeons are VERY good, just do your research and you'll be fine! Stitches will be removed on the 7th day. The approximate price is from 1,750,000 KRW to 2,100,000 KRW. 2. Natural adhesion method: This special double eyelid surgery was created by Grand which makes double eyelids as similar as innate double eyelids (leaves no scar). This method induces adhesion between upper eyelid skin and levator palpebrae superioris muscle through small incision holes. After inducing the adhesion, the surgery will be completed by threading outer upper eyelid and conjunctiva. This procedure is suitable for for patients with thin upper eyelids. Stitches will be removed on the 3-4th day after the surgery. The approximate price is from 1,600,000 KRW to 2,000,000 KRW. 3. Non-incision method: This surgery is suitable for patients with thin upper lid. It leaves almost no scar and gives a very natural look. Stitches will be removed on the 3-4th day after the surgery. " --Reply: "hobakjuk is actually pumpkin porridge... as for the pumpkin juice, you might want to try ur luck at those supermarkets. they might have it...." ---Reply2: "Pumpkin juice is different from the pumpkin porridge. You can get pumpkin juice from selected pharmacies. you may need to hunt it down though. My roommate got hers for 30,000 KRM - which has about 25 packets I think. I went to ID and they gave me a full box of it after I left. " ------------------------ *" Now I want to prepare you all for those who will be doing your procedures under General Anesthesia. When they tell you you cannot be alone for the first night, this is damn true!!" *" quite a few clinics provide their own guestlounges/studentels where the patients can stay and recover, the number of stays depends on how much you will be having done with them (more than one, etc or if its a mor invasive one) ranges from 1-7nights. Don't forget to inquire with any clinic and if they don't have a place for you to stay that they own, they more than likely have a big discount for their patients at a nearby hotel/inn. But if you are looking to split a 'better' room, you can still get it for real cheap if someone goes in on it with you! " *"Make your first choice your last choice so you can use that as a bargaining power. Start lower than you would pay. I would aim for a 15%-20% off. Low balling is kinda part of the game, then you would work your way up to close the deal according to what your budget is. I would pay in Korean Wons, find where u can get the best exchange rate. (I think you can bargain from this price) "babyrose mentioned she called view and view quoted her 15million for zygoma n vline while local on naver only paid 11m for both surgeries..." -------------- on naver: dream unheard of? naver mostly talks about k gangnam samsung, view, CK and girin...
