I agree with you 100% that western beauty idolizes strong jaw lines, which I personally do not like. I love small slim jaw lines , which in my opinion is more childlike, innocent, and prettier. This is my goal. I also had a sliding genioplasty but I didn't like the protruding chin¸ Plastic surgeons in the states image of beauty is that your chin aligns with the tip of your nose. I had the fixations removed then put a small implant which was horrible the doctor purposely put it wrong. I then had to get it removed and now I want to go to Seoul because I am fed up, sick, and disgusted with some American doctors. There are horrible, money thirsty vultures passing as doctors. I know deep in my heart there are a few respectable, honest doctors. It is about finding that special surgeon, listening to people advices, staying away from bad ones and making an informed decision, but a little bit of luck goes a long way. I am in New York anyone wants to be friends hit me up I am going to Seoul in Dec/ Jan.

If your nose is not infection, the doctor usually request at least after your last surgery 4months or 6 months.

Hi KPStar,

I'm 3rd day post surgery. I was discharged from the clinic today and back at my hotel. According to the doctor, all is good. I got more details that I'll put up later. In case if its any help, I chose EverM Dental for my protruding lower jaw. Very fortunate that I only needed 1 jaw. Most online consultation i had before i come to Seoul said I definitely need a 2 jaw. Phew! This place have mostly locals coming. If you want a consultation at Everm, you will need a translator. Do let me m ow what other info you need. Your case sounds similar to my as in the period of stay.

The website is www.everm.net

For translators, it is in your best interest to find one through seoul craigslist (under services) than to pay for someone like zoe. However, i find that for everm, if you`re able to go in to make an appointment, then come back for the consultation another day, they`ll be able to arrange their `marketing specialist`to translate for you. That way, you`ll be safe from paying commissions.

Hi planc,

I thought most clinics tend to be fully booked hence the need to make an appointment in advance... did u encounter that issue ? ie did u just walk in for a consultation and hv surgery scheduled without having to book in advance ?

Sometimes you can walk in and wait until a slot opens. It depends on the clinic and the time of year.

As for translators and commissions, it seems to be true. One of the surgeons I consulted with told me that translators had tried to set up a deal with his clinic that involved marking up the cost by a certain percentage. The commission comes out of the patient's wallet.

Before my trip, I was in touch briefly with 3 different translators. 2 were busy and 1 of them couldn't answer simple questions. The names of these translators are likely not their real names, which also made me skeptical. I decided to go solo. In hindsight, I think you can get by without one.

It gets busy in July-August and definitely in the winter time. Teens get out of school in July and their winter break is the longest (about a month).
