rapid
If you scroll down you can find angel82's response where she mentions that she wasn't happy with their post op service and I also recall another member that had a bad surgery at wonjin but couldn't find their post, I'm sure you probably scratched them off your list by now anyway - what mwol mentioned is quite scary! andifleur5
Hmm there were two dr. Lees at view right? the one that stayed back is the nose and eyes specialist along with Dr. Choi?
andifleur5
How long ago was your nose done? Did they mention it needs replacement every few years? I think there are risks with any surgery, but since there is a natural way to do it like using your own cartilage for an example...if that is safer and much more permanent then I'd prefer that method. But I'm just not getting answers from clinics that will do that technique but instead silicone implant
mwol
yes there were 2 dr lees at view. the dr lee that left specialised in facial contoruing and eyes. and the dr lee still there is eyes and nose with dr choi (but he is more so nose i think?). dr lee SANGWOO is the one that opened up daprs ^^ i can't pm you yet it won't allow me. hmm i've heard that banobagi has a massive problem with drooping but i will try and look around to confirm this. in my opinion regen's result is more on the conservative side (but if that's what your aiming for then that's good!). i think you should check out small face although one of the doctor has left to another clinic ( i am still trying to find where argh!! ) but the other doctor is also a facial contouring specialist and one of their 'real' stories is also a guy who did the surgery you are wanting:http://small-face.com/renew/eng/bbs/realstory.php?b_code=notice<arget=thin&lover=1 they update their before and after gallery once a month which i find really great because you can keep seeing new and different results and not base your decision on the same photos. i also like it because it is a personal review by the patient so there is no photoshop or lighting tricks haha. http://small-face.com/renew/eng/bbs/epilogue.php?b_code=s_after<arget=thin&lover=2 i should probably warn you smallface is pricey but of course there is always room to haggle. here is their english consultant's email: [email protected] her english isn't great but she understands enough to tell you the price and ask basic info like recovery time and stuff
rapid
I just noticed that I need 5 days of membership before I'm upgraded to a full account. I'm definitely worried about drooping which is why I'm avoiding a cheek reduction as I believe that's what its associated with? I posted pictures with the type of results I'm seeking here: # Would really like to know your opinion and thank you again mwol
mwol
ah i totally am always amazed by everm and tlps transformation because they make it totally dramatic but make it look totally natural. even i admit view and daprs make some of the girls look really fake (but hey they specifically asked for that look and that look is considered super attractive in korea so that is why they advertise it). hmm it seems you want a somewhat dramatic change. well facial contouring is a big surgery so you should decide if you want cheek or not i have read a couple of times people regret just getting their jaw done because their face becomes unbalanced. there are some clinics that claim they can prevent this but i mean it also depends on your age and natural elasticity. i have seen some before and afters after facial contouring that are after 2-3 years of the initial surgery and they still look fine but they are all young... so... not sure... haha. and none of the pictures i posted complained about drooping (i think is because of the prp treatment they get which makes you look super youthful but also help cure acne scars and stuff). everm, tlps, view, daprs, belita are good to look into i usually ignore the famous or more mentioned clinics on purseforum like regen, banobagi, jw etc. because i am more interested in local experience rather than foreign and also because i have friends who have done surgery (@ view, belita and girin) with really nice results. but in my opinion for the foreign targeted clinics, that item and regen are pretty good clinics to check out too
hiyori
Hey mwol, may I ask what did your friends do at View & Girin? Cos I'm looking to have my eyes and nose done at either one.
126baby
TLPS website states that all 3 methods of their cheekbone reduction involve incision on the cheek (and oral incision for dramatic changes). Any complaints abt tt since it will leave a visible scar won't it?
mina2013
With my understanding, the incision will be 1-3mm on the sideburns so there won't be any visible scar. If you still concern about it (like me ^_^), buy Scarguard cream to help the incision heal faster. Hope that help.
makeover
omg, those photots are exactly what i want, including a nose job but i was told i have to wait 3 months after surgery so ill have to do my nose in the us..I love love love the results though.. I want to go with this hospital because i love the results but most of the site is in korean so I dotn know how to ask for a simulation or even email them.. Im gonna choose between them or ever m.. Im going to hire anita as my translator.Part of the reason why Im not going to ID is because they offered to give me a discount and pickup service if i didnt bring a translator(red flag right there) OMG im soo excited im finally gonna be pretty.. I have 1 more question for you, does this place do procedures for acne scars
makeover
I was sure I wanted to go to ID because their website rocks but im definately not going now because anita the translator dissuaded me from it.She says a smaller clinic is better.. 126baby
Can anyone advise about post-op care and the methods use for square-jaw, cheekbone and V-line at DAPRS? I can't understand Hangul so it is rather hard to trust a clinic I know nothing about! Why do I need to login to see the Before&After pics on the site? :/ I notice a few uneven eyelids from DAPRS though, is it cos the swelling hasn't completely gone down? I'm definitely doing my eyes, cheekbone and jaw so I need a place that's good at all these.
mwol
don't go to id. just because they are pioneers for some facial procedures doesn't mean they are the best. there is literally a thread dedicated to "id victims", the pf members also say when they do consult with id the doctor always seems really pushy. id is also known to switch doctors while you under ga... don't go to them. why don't you do your nose job in korea aswell? there are plenty of people who gets them done at the same time, granted it is hard to breathe... but i think its better. (i am going to do this). you'll get more of a harmonious face. view/daprs both provide prp treatment which is just a wonder for most skin problems like wrinkles, sunspots, acne, scars you may have on your face. that's why in the pictures i've posted they all look younger and more lively, it almost looks like they've had fat graft but it's actually because of the prp treatment. if you're looking for specific clinics for skin anita can bring you to maylin (it is one of the best skin clinics in korea and you are likely to see a korean celeb there as you wait, the only downside is, it is a bit pricey and there is no room to haggle everything has a set price, but i guess it is also good because locals and foreigners pay the exact same). another is magic dermatology (http://www.emagicskin.com/), i've seen really nice results and they are very cheap. it is recommended that you do dermatology stuff before you do your surgeries. ah you may be excited to be "pretty" but always remember what you need to go through to get your desired look. your initial choice of id suggests to me you aren't researching enough and you're too focused on the end result. there are HEAPS of red flags about id, particularly on purseforum. although i provided the pictures, don't jump and do a 360 turn based on a picture. i had to look through and translate and bother my korean friends to help me find pictures and reviews on the korean cafes as well as read all the pages of this thread to make sure. i've been researching for 2 years. yes. the site is in korean because they don't need international business at all as they are heaps of local patients going to them already, it is also a fairly new clinic. your best bet is to leave an enquiry on their site in korean, if you can somehow manage that... anyways good luck, keep researching~ please try to atleast look through the thread before asking questions, the thread is nearly up to it's closing point so it's annoying to find repetitive questions and answers. i have already posted for daprs before and afters but here it is again: http://daprs.com/index.php?page=board&file=list&atcl_seq=155&mc=0903&table=md_board&board_cd=bfa&srchCate=%EC%95%88%EB%A9%B4%26%EC%96%91%EC%95%85&cpage=1 you can see patients who have just gone under jaw and cheek reduction and with more subtle results. i purposely picked those ones because they were very dramatic (which is what i am personally looking for.) dr lee sangwoo can do facial contouring without or with screws and plates, it really depends on the individual. i heard that after any surgery, to help it along, walk a lot and eat pineapple and pumpkin soup. there are cosmetic boxsets you can get specifically design to use after surgery for example this one: like what most doctors and patients will tell you, you can only achieve your full result after a couple of months or even a year depending on the surgery you did. it is hard to find an allrounder clinic, but tlps, girin and fresh are known for a full face transformation. 126baby
Mwol, I am looking for more B&A without V-line as I'm leaning towards square-jaw/cheekbone reduction. A few B&A of what has been posted here feature V-shaped faces. No worries, it was more of a passing comment anw.
