wintergirl88 Posted December 13, 2013 Share Posted December 13, 2013 Hi applebeth I travelled alone to Korea, unfortunately I couldn't find anyone going at the same time as me. It's actually quite easy to travel to korea so u don't have to worry about travelling alone, this is my very first time travelling alone but I still managed to get here smoothly. Heh no I only told one female friend about the surgery. I've told me other friends that I will be getting wisdom teeth extracted, so hopefully if they think I look abit swollen, they may think it's from teeth extraction. The nurse told me that what happens is for maybe 2 mths after V-line surgery, your face will look abit chubbier from residual swelling. But your face will be getting slimmer and slimmer. So to your friends, the face slimming will look like a gradual process and not from surgery. But to those pple who are familiar with V-line surgery, they may suspect what u've done, but actually many Singaporeans are not very familiar with this surgery as it's very uncommon in Singapore. U gotta be prepared to look chubby for several weeks though. I'm 3 days post-surgery and I'm avoiding all mirrors cos swelling peaks on 2nd-4th day post-op, I only dare to look after a few more days, haha. Actually I wanted to do with Dr Joo Kwon, but as he's running the business side of JK he rarely does surgeries nowadays. But Dr Kim is very experienced in face contouring and I'm told he did V-line for many of the staff, and they look really nice! They're pretty but at the same time they look different from each other. Heh I touched my face and i'm so swollen now. Btw if u do V-line, make sure u pack lots of liquid food, like those protein drinks or stuff like that. Probably they are good in these procedures since they are quite common (eyelid surgery is the most common surgery in Korea), but I don't know if they are extra-good in these areas. One thing about JK I've found out is that they don't advertise much. On the subway passing Gangnam area, got lots of ads for plastic surgery clinics, but none for JK. Also at Incheon airport, I saw brochures for most of the big surgery clinics--Grand, VIP, BK, Wonjin, TLPS etc--but none for JK. But yet they have many patients, so I think their results must be good, allowing them to rely on word-of-mouth. Got lots of other good Korean clinics to consider. I'd recommend u finding one where there are some staff members who are fluent in English, then u don't need to hire a translator when ure in Korea. Why don't u shortlist some and email them for price quotes? Personally, apart from JK, I've also heard good stuff about TLPS and Pitangui. I also heard some good stuff about Dream and Cinderella, but I didn't consider those clinics because I couldn't find an English website.
