Thanks Kian! I'm from Canada so I'm used to the cold but I was hoping it would be warmer there since it's been freezing here!

I posted this in the revisional surgery thread but no one replied so I'm hoping maybe I'll have some luck here.

I had non-incisional surgery about 4-5 years ago but in the past few months my left eye has started to become a bit wonky. By wonky I mean that the fold sometimes becomes a triple fold that is very high. This has happened maybe 5 or 6 times in the past 6 months and it has generally only happened in the mornings when I've slept too much or when I'm bloated. It has also only lasted for about 5 minutes. I'm wondering if this is normal? I know my friends who have natural double eyelids experience their eyelids changing shape but I always thought that this type of thing shouldn't happen if you've had surgery.

Does this mean I need a revision? Or is this normal? If it's not normal I would really like to fix it before my eyelid becomes permanently wonky! Any insight would really be appreciated!

I do not. But it looks like i will miss the mini-April meet which is a shame. I've already informed Nicole that i won't be there in April (whos fully booked anyhow) so plans have now switched to May. Don't know if i've said in this thread, but i'm currently in the middle of moving house. It should've been done nearly 2 weeks ago but new issues just keep cropping up and its just eating into my planned schedule at this point. I wish you all the best on your April travels!

Hi glory! Glad to hear that your surgeries with Pitangui went well. I will be doing double eyelids and rhinoplasty + nasal tiplasty with I-shape silicone and septal cartilage as well.

May I know how's your recovery going along and what you think about it? If you dont mind, would you send me a B&A pic to my e-mail? I won't share it with anyone or anywhere of course.

Hello Everyone ^_^ I stumbled upon this forum when looking up plastic surgery stuff on google. Anywayyyy I was wondering if its a smart decision to go to korea for surgery as a non asian. I currently live in the U.S. but I feel that here plastic surgens wouldnt really understand the look Im going for. ( like cute, ulzzang, flower boy kind of thing) I wouldnt be going anytime soon though. Im half mexican half white but i look kind of native american i guess? Oh! also im a guy..... so yeah (: (Sorry if this is a tad confusing)

OH P.S. Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section or anything.

I think it depends on the kind of surgery you were looking to have done. What is it about the esthetic you're going for that appeals to you? I think you should narrow down what you would like to have done, and then do some research on which clinics and doctors would work best for your needs.

I want to do blepharoplasty becouse my eyelids followed down, despite I am just 29 years old. I dont think it is so complicated procedure so I can do it in Europe but I also want to make my eyes wider so I wanted lateral canthoplasty, yet now I decided not doing this. I think with lateral or epi Korean`s surgeons are the most experienced. That is the reason I wanted to do my eyes there. If I don`t find any other prcedure to make eyes longer I won`t be doing eyes in Korea. It is not becouse I am scared that my eyes became more Asian but I am a little scared that becouse Caucasian eyes have different built than Asian the doctors in Korea may make some mistakes during surgery, just becouse they did not use to operate Caucasian eyes.
TwiNnie I don`t want to tell You what to do so don`t get me wrong yet I must said that i don`t think lateral canthoplasty makes Your eyes wider. For last couple days I was reading topics about eyes surgery I also send and recived some PW massages and no one from people who had it done said that it made their eyes wider from front view. In addition I read a lot of bad reviews about this surgery, often after for example year eyes going back to the state before surgery or what is worse they even became smaller. By the way maybe You check also this doctor for Your eyes surgey: Dr. Kang from IOU I read he is good, (but pricey). That is email [email protected] or doctor Dr Chung Yoon Jae : [email protected] . They might be good.

Except eyes I am planing master muscle or mandline reduction and maybe zygoma reduction .

Hello.
Actually, I have collected a variety of information about lateral canthoplasty, and I realized that (unfortunately) in my case is of little use.
Thank you for recommended these two doctors. If I go in their clinic, I have to specifically ask to speak with them?
Recently I am in contact with Banobagi...you think they are good with eyes?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I also want to be operated on the masseter! However, I would not have surgery to bones of jaw and chin, then I would prefer that they only removes the fat and muscle (but I understand that this is something mine, you don't care).
About the cheekbones, a short time ago I wanted to make them too, but now I'm not quite sure, because i can not tell Whether they're big or not, I think they are mainly "fat", then if they are made smaller the jaw would be much larger...I have to discuss it with the doctor.
I have discussed all these issues with Banobagi (because other clinics are very slow in responding, for example Regen).
Banobagi told me that operating the muscle without touching the jaw gives less, but I think I understand that it can be done anyway.

In short, I have not yet figured out who is better for face surgery, especially midface lipo and masseter with radiofrequency. That effort! :cray:

Can i ask, if ten days is enough for consultation, surgery for revision rhino and eyelid surgery, plus removal of stitches? If not I may be able to stretch my leave a little longer.

When u go for consultation at the clinic, do they do up a photo simulation of how u will look like or they just show u pictures of the doctors' work only?

I'm planning to go banobagi, regen, jw and teuim if possible in one day.

TIA

Any idea if JW still do a special discount with sunshine hotel if we book thru them? Read it somewhere in the forum they used to do $80/night thru Jw, dont know if this is still the case now? Sunshine as i checked is about $115/night via agoda.

I was thinking of staying at highland the first few days after surgery then shift to either star or sunshine hotel after. Any thoughts?

There were a few posters who complained of a US doctor on the revisionary eyelid surgery thread, so I was curious and looked him up. Apparently, he trained with the surgeon who did my primary eyelid surgery.

I went to a well-known plastic surgeon in the US who was famous for blepharoplasty and pioneered the Asian incisional technique. There are many surgeons in the US and Asia that adopted his published technique, anchor blepharoplasty, because it creates a crease that is permanent and does not fade away like other techniques. However, it turns out this method is more invasive and harder on the eyes, which can create complications like ptosis and retraction like I had. It also takes a long time to recover, like a year or more.

I've learned there are different incisional techniques. While a general plastic surgeon may still be good with eyes, they tend to be bolder in their operating styles and take more risks. I think there are many general plastic surgeons using the anchor blepharoplasty method or similar techniques. On the other hand, eye specialists, or oculoplastic and ophthalmic surgeons, probably would not use the same kind of technique due to the risk of complications since they are more cautious with the eye anatomy. Just a thought for those who are considering multiple procedures with one surgeon.
