autumnskies
Anyone going to korea early may? Around May 10 - 20? If you're consulting around May 10-13, maybe we can hit up some clinics together. This is my 3rd trip back to Korea (Lol!) so definitely not a total newbie but every trip brings new experiences. I'm looking to get eyelid & nose revision and possibly zygoma reduction (still debating and wanting more info on the quick zygoma vs the regular). My forerunner clinic at the moment is Cinderella, Regen, TLPS(debating), and D.A. I'm also considering a seperate specialized doctor for eyelid revision but the thought of having to undergo operation twice in a week is a little scary and I don't want to waste flight money on 2 trips =/ Oh the dilemma
onlyif
Anyway for those who are coming here, the first thing I think the first thing you will need to buy is the prepaid sim card. I tried to go to the previous K bookstore but they said they don't have it in stock anymore. so if you need to get one when you arrive at the airport, you can get it from GS25 (just in front of exit number 10 for the airport bus) It cost 30000won for a 500mb data card(with 20 mins of call), which is what I got. There is a 1gb one which cost about 50000won if you want. For me 500mb is enough, and you can do a topup at any GS25 shop. Also the shopkeeper told me if I am not sure if the sim card will fit my phone (microsim or the normal sim), I can always do an exchange at the same shop. There is supposedly a nanosim type, but I didn't ask if they have it. ONE THING IMPORTANT TO NOTE is that you hve to register the card within 30 mins. To register, you just need to viisit their website at .m.egsimcard.co.kr, and send them a photo of your passport details. (I procrastinated and couldn't use it after 30mins which kinda sucks cuz I have till wait until I found a wifi to activated the card for use again) Feel free to msg me. but I won't be receiving any calls. Also anyone here in Korea? Kako me at onlyifz. I'm staying still the 28th of March

pres30
Did you go for a face to face consult or was this online. They quote their original price at 7M for cheekbone and 7M for jaw. But you should easily get that combo for 10M. Did you try and negotiate if you were there at the clinic?

pinkjade316
If you need internet on the go, I would suggest to rent a portable wifi router (Olleh WiBro Egg) at the airport. it's roughly $8 a day and 11th day onwards it's $4 a day (half price). I used it to connect my phone and tablet and I took it everywhere I go (it works even in the subway!). I feel safer that i'm always connected to people on kakao and I use skype/we chat to phone back home. As well, I use Google Maps whenever I'm lost - I look for the nearest subway station. motherhen
Hi all, I'm 3 months post face/neck/forehead lifts and fat graft at Aone. All the fat have gone from my face except for my forehead and a bit left in my lips. My face looks long and my chin looks less pointy than before. Apart from my skin is less saggy I don't like how I look. I am going back to see the doctor in July so I will have more fat transfer to my cheeks and the mid face grooves that are more visible after the lift. I have asking the clinic about my concerns but all I get is 'please be patient and wait'. I found that my face looked good at 3 weeks post op but it get progressively worse not better, mainly because of the fat getting resorbed. And my smile lipt leaves visible scars. Also, anyone here had fat graft to their forehead and it feels really itchy? The itch is really bad after a shower.
autumnskies
Has anyone had surgery at Cinderella? From their advertising/celeb photos it seems like there is 1 main doctor. On their staff page there are 3 other board certified surgeons... are they specialized in their area or do they do everything between the 4 of them and you get someone random? dallas101
I just did my nose job at dr Jung shimmian clinic in Korea 10 days ago and I am WARNING all of you, please do not go there. My nose was primary. He did my nose completely diferent and it does not go with my face at all. I don't think he has an eye for beauty and proportion. The nose he gave me looks totally weird on my face, the nose is so high. Now I want to remove it but Jay Lee ignores all my emails. I am back at home in the US and I have been emailing Jay Lee and the clinic about removing it but they ignore all my emails. I am in shock at how Korean doctor and consultant treat their patient after taking the money. I don't know if that is korean culture how they treat their patient or is it just this clinic. I am writing this to hope that none of you has to go through the same thing that I do. I am making appointment with a local plastic surgeon in the US to help me remove my implant inside my nose. maiq
Dallas101 I really think it's too early to tell, because your swelling is not subsided yet within 10 days. Also it depends on the food you eat, if you ate a lot of sodium/oil/not enough vitamin it retains more water in your body that make things look worse than it is. I think just wait after a month with a healthy diet, you'll see some improvements and can then decide. Immediately pulling implant out may cause scars and also it takes longer to recover. Those who wants to fix their surgery is advised to do it after 6 months when your body heals properly.
dallas101
This nose looks more like American nose. It is skinny and tall. I didn't really swell up that much post surgery. The reason I think it is not swelling is because the nose itself is already skinny and the nose tip is pointy. If the swelling completely go away the nose would be skinner and tall and the tip would be more pointy. I made appointment with Dr. Lam in Dallas, he has a lot of experience with removing implant (silicon/gortex) from a lot of people. He said it takes about 10minutes and it is close procedure, which mean he will not open the nose. This nose would look good on white people.
