marina230 Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 I would highly recommend to try Amore Pacific line. You can buy in Nordstrom, NM. Ask SA for a sample and try it. I was not a big believer in any creams from stores(I do facials every two weeks for many years), but it is a miracle for many facial problems.
bratty1919 Posted January 19, 2013 Author Posted January 19, 2013 I have some La Mer eye product on its way- I love their body refiner! It has a great pumice!
bratty1919 Posted August 7, 2013 Author Posted August 7, 2013 Quick update: I've been much less busy this summer,so I have gotten more sleep. I'm drinking even more water and eating even more healthily...also going to the gym more. I lost 6 pounds (yay!). As usual, my weight change is noticeable in my face. My bone structure is more defined. I also had been using some la mer products, but found that they were a bit heavy for me (combination skin). I am doing facials once a month, and also applying aging treatments religiously, morning and evening. Results: The dark circles have gotten better, thought they're not 100% gone. It does appear that the lines are here to stay, and they are more pronounced when I'm even a little thinner. I plan to keep doing what I'm doing and to get the lines addressed surgically in about 5 years. Thanks again, everyone! PS: In the last month or so, I have gotten several comments from friends, acquaintances re: how good my skin looks ETA: After month of my GP telling me it was "just allergies", I went to an eye Dr. and found out that my eye discomfort was actually due to the fact that my tear glands don't work right, and so my eyes have very few tears. I think it's possible that this is contributing to the signs of aging, although he didn't confirm or deny that.
schmoo Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 I read that it is a popular misconception that surgery is needed for wrinkles. Laser resurfacing actually addresses wrinkles. Unless you have a lot of loose skin, that's something you should look into first. I just saw an episode of Dr. Oz where they talked about applying vitamin C on the skin. Apparently that supposed to be really effective, but you need to wait around a month before you start seeing results. They also mentioned taking a supplement called phytoceramine I believe.
bratty1919 Posted October 13, 2013 Author Posted October 13, 2013 Did you even read the first post???
shinyglittery Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 i think this comment is so judgmental!! I'm not even 27 and I'm gettin PS done... so many people get at 16-25... Why get it after you've looked old and wrinkly and tired and bad and asymmetrical for 10 years or more, better get it sooner... ^^ i think so many millions of people get it you can't judge by age...
lorihmatthews Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Sorry, I stand by my opinion. If you're 27, you are too young to be getting plastic surgery and you are chasing some aesthetic that is completely unnecessary. You are only fueling the false standard that everyone should look a certain way, and if you don't, you require surgery. BTW it is NORMAL to get wrinkles and age. If you don't think so, you really need to think about that. Millions of people are influenced by what the plastic surgery industry puts out there. If everyone accepted the way that they looked, and didn't criticize how others looked, there wouldn't be all these doctors out there who tell you that you need to be "improved."
v0n1b2 Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Yes lori, where's your head girl? Think of it as a preventative face lift. You ward off those evil nasty laugh lines before they have a chance to form. tsk tsk girl.
shinyglittery Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 "unnecessary"... it is "unnecessary" to be pretty? healthy? not overweight? not have a bad skin? ah, this is something i will never understand... ^^;; i have nothing to add...
lorihmatthews Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 There are plenty of things you can do without resorting to plastic surgery. If someone truly believes they are not complete without having their face cut up to look like someone else, they should consider therapy.
shinyglittery Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 perhaps you should not visit this part of the forum if you cannot be civil... have a nice day ^^
