Fat Grafting In Korea

Anyone seen a male patient had fat transfer on forehead? I'm kind of considering it but I'm afraid that it might make me look too feminine.

Did anyone have an implant forehead? My forehead is flat so I’m looking to give it a volume but I’m not sure if it’s the best option.

I'm going try fat transfer first to see if it works for me even though it is not permanent, I heard that some of them can remain for long time.

Hihi,

I had my procedure done at Regen, as I feel very comfortable with the Dr and consultant. Also, i kinda know two ladies who had fat graft done at Regen, one with okay result another with good result.

Both of them including me looks natural after around 3-4mth. if you ask me, it is quite a long time to recover for such a (relative) petite surgery.

I am going to book regen , and I SAW FRESH .. i agreed regen 's consultant is very good , make me very comfortable to make a appointment with them. and price is cheaper than any other BK ID ..... in the end I think I will go fresh, fresh seem like specialty for fat grafting face and breast and butt.... that is what I want to do .

Oh dear! Yeah I have read a total of two horror stories that people went blind after getting fat inject around their eyes. Scary.

May I know more about skin trouble your forum friend is facing? Coz I had two really really big acnes and serious clogged pores on my upper cheeks. But is all okay now after some intensive home treatment with appropriate skin care products. my skin is kinda sensitive now, turns red easily, but it may be due to frexel treatments i did?

I am locking down two hospital --regen and fresh, I think both good, regen is more natural, fresh is more stylish fashion look....depend who can give me a good price in the end .

Hi All, I am on 3rd week on my fat graft and my forehead is still swollen. I realized too that both of my eyes are a bit droopy after the surgery. Is that normal?

A stem cell fat graft is essentially the same procedure as a regular fat graft, tweaked slightly.

The first step is exactly the same for both procedures (liposuction of donor site to produce fat used for transplant). The main difference lies in the fact that after liposuction, the fat sample used in stem cell grafts is enriched in stem cells through further processing in the laboratory (Keep in mind that stem cells are present naturally in fat, the lab processing just concentrates them). This means that the fat injected into you face in a stem cell fat graft procedure will contain more stem cells per mililitre or gram of fat then a regular fat graft.

Why is a higher concentration of stem cells important? Peer-reviewed scientific studies have shown that stem cell enriched fat grafts have enhanced survival/volume retention rates vs traditional stem cell non-enriched fat grafts. This means that more of the fat injected into you face will remain after the reabsorption and de-swelling phase. This is why clinics will quote higher percentage retention rates for stem cell vs regular fat grafts, and also why pricing is significantly higher for stem cell fat grafting.

Personally I'm still undecided as to which one I want done. Stem cell fat transplants may mean that the chance of needing a second transplant is reduced, but IMO a touch up should be anticipated for all fat grafts because reabsorption happens, which may cause asymmetry. Also, from my research the prices I've been quoted for stem cell fat graft are 2x regular fat graft.

ALL fat grafts should be considered semi-permanent because the transplanted (and natural) fat is affected by aging and weight loss. We naturally lose fat and muscle volume as we age, so if you want to maintain facial volume, you need touching up years down the road. However, definitely not as often as artificial fillers like juvederm or restylane. There is no such thing as permanent facial fillers, whether fat grafts or artificial fillers.

I think you are right , plastic surgery in seoul ,they just exaggerate the effect and try to charge more money. I agree all fat grafts considered semi-permanent. After 3 month fat grafting , I am try to lost some weight. I did see my face slight sunken, but still better than before I did fat grafting.

@FieryCucumber Dr Seo is a board certified plastic surgeon at MVP clinic who performed my full face fg Feb 2018 and it still looks great. He is much cheaper than Dr Hong who is not board certified in plastic surgery.
