Thank you very much neverperfect! and I wish all the best in your journey, I'm sure your result will be filled with great happiness.

I didn't have any osteotomy. The doctor used silicon implant and since my previous one was too high he changed it to a bit lower one but I do not remember the exact mm. It wasn't L-strut, he just carved/shortened a straight one to fit my nose, only to the middle of my nose and the tip was done with my own cartilage.
Is it ok to just share the name of doctor/clinic here? I mean..I would love to since I'm pleased with my result and their service but I don't want to be accused for anything.

[email protected] This is my temporary email I made only for the use of my ps journey so you can email me if you want the detail information. Sorry but I've seen some controversies here. Once again, best wishes in your journey, you are not alone!

Thanks Alliwish, it's good that you're being precautions.
Hey! I don't know about you, but my intention to join purseblog and other blogs/forums with only one purpose, is to retrieve and to contribute.
IMHO, happy or unhappy patients are equally free to share their happiness or concerns and seek for advise as well as solutions. I don't see there is any problem as long as ones does it genuinely with respect for self and others.
Anyway, I cant pm you yet until you reached your ten posts. ;)
Please check your email. I hope to hear from you soon:smile:
Happy Luna New Year to you and all purseblog's members

Can someone help recommend a few top notch rhino revision clinics and surgeons in Korea?
I want to revise my nose which was done many years back. I don't usually bargain, lowest price doesn't mean the best, highest price doesn't mean the best either, but I like to hear your opinions of which doctor for nose and their aftercare.

 • 2 months later...
Does anyone know a good eye revision specialist for eyes not closing? I have too much skin excised. I still have to wait a couple of months but if I still have problems I would like to fix it.

One doctor told me to wait a year, and another doctor told me that it will take 10 years for my eyes to close fully. They both told me they cannot fix my eyes now.

I don't know what I can do now I feel desperate and horrible.

Does anyone know a good doctor in Korea?
How much does it cost?
How long does it take to heal?

Look up Dr. William P. Chen of California. I have done alot of research on eyelid revision surgeons as I took am looking for a revision surgeon.

I have a problem with my eyes closing too, you can see a tiny sliver of white even when I'm asleep (been told by my SO).

My appt w/ Dr. Chen is in June. Although likely I'll go to Korea for a revision, I want to hear as many advice as I can from different doctors.

btw dr chen wrote several books/ medical textbooks on eyelid surgery, esp asian eyelid surgery. I keep coming across his name on plastic surgery forums for revision surgery so I just *had* to go see him.

For Korean surgeons, from research on here, soompi, realself-- it seems that the most often discussed surgeons are

Dr. Cho at BIO (formerly bandoeye)
Dr. Kang at IOU
Dr. Jung at Banobagi

However, when I asked my cousins and sister in law who all live in Korea, none of them ever heard of any of these surgeons BUT none of them ever needed revision eye surgery (all of theirs was succesfull first time surgeries) and none of them live in Seoul (they live in Pyoungtaek, Daejon, Inchon)

I emailed Dr. Cho and Dr. Jung's office. Both emailed me very promptly, like within the week. Dr. Cho's office quoted me "400 man won", I have noo idea how much that is in USD but I'm guessing 4,000?? this was only for ONE eye (I have one wonky eye, and one eye that is OK enough for me to live with). Good lord if that's for one eye only, then i can't even imagine how much two eyes would cost

I couldn't find the email from banobagi (dr jung)'s office so i re-sent them my pics for the quote again, but their price was similar to dr. cho's, like within a thousand dollars of eachother (ok, a thousand dollars is alot but i thought dr cho's office would charge alot more)

you have Korean relatives/friends but you don't know how much 400 man kwon is? weird! you're right, it's about $4000. man=万. usually 1 eye costs the same as 2 eyes.

Yea, I grew up in the states and am basically Americanized. I've never actually been there, my cousins always came to the states to visit instead of me visiting Korea. I tried googling the currency and came up w/ man won= 10,000, and wasn't sure if 400 man won was 400 + 10,000 or what. Sorry.

oh sorry  it's not the currency, it's just the way of counting. 10 thousand, 100 million, trillion. instead of thousand, million, billion... i think it's the same everywhere in Asia. Koreans just use "man", it's kind of similar to the word it comes from, "wan" 万. so 4000 man won would be 40 million won for example. if 1 man is 10000 then of course 2man is 20000
