shinyglittery
Please do your research and never ever just believe someone without checking their word. Don't believe me either if you think what i say doesn't make sense. I don't know everything and i make mistakes so please please do your research... in my opinion i would maybe forget about pitangui and banobagi too. i used to think pitangui was good but after what i know i no longer think so. ITEM does very subtle results. if you want subtle go to ITEM. if not, look for other clinics... (pitangui does subtle too, sometimes unnoticeable and i really wouldn't recommend that clinic) hopefully that helps
k-couture
so i have a question.....how did you change your member status to Diva. I WANT THAT! lol Anyways i know this might seem unconventional but i really wouldn't put a budget on your surgical costs (not including accomodation plane ticket). Best for you to go visit these clinics first, see if you are satisfied with your surgeon, bargain the price down then start saving. face > finances also you need to be especially careful when selecting a surgeon for lateral cantho. Complications are rather common for that procedure compared to the double eye lid surgery. There's some surgeons who make it a point not to do lateral cantho because of this. shinyglittery
Hehehe. you're right, it's not smart to put a budget on it. It's crazy what we're tempted to cut costs on... but this is too important. i'm still unsure about the lateral. i've seen some good looking laterals... i don't know! i don't want to take extra risks though. i just want bigger eyes but i think lateral is not necessary for it. i'll talk to the dr about it. unbeautifulme
Haha go to edit your details, the custom user title! I emailed all of them, and I think I'm gna go with Banobagi, I heard scary things about Pitangui! And after some advise from several people, I think I'm dropping lateral alr, all of them says my eyes are long enough, do somemore I'll be like a bug alr! unbeautifulme
Have you heard aabout any rumours or news regarding Banobagi? I tried researching bout them but nothing came up! I wanted ITEM but I heard their resultsdiffer from people to people also. But successful eyelid surgeries by ITEM look really nice
unbeautifulme
Does anyone know if the Dr Kim from ITEM is the same Dr Kim from BK? That was what I was afriad of actually :/
shinyglittery
Please tell us, anyone who knows, i think i heard something about a BK doctor hired by some other clinic, maybe ITEM, i hope not too but i think it might be... :/
mina2013
I'm not sure they are the same person. According to his profile on ITEM website, he is the "Former director of BK Plastic Surgery". At first, I'm pretty much set on ITEM for my nose job, but after I found out Dr. Kim is from BK, I kinda hesitated. Now that there are couple members mention that he not that friendly and throughout with their consultation, I might cross ITEM off of my list. http://www.itemcliniceng.com/introduction/item-doctors.html
misfit-remake
hey shinyglittery, seeing that you've done so much research, which clinic/doc would you recommend for eyes, nose and possibly lips (reduction) surgery? just for reference please, thanks
bauhausfrau
I don't know if this comment belongs here, but it is a resource, so.... Does everyone know about this English language (and several other languages) helpline in Korea? 021-330. Apparently they'll help you with anything, like giving directions, they'll even text them to you, or translating directions to your taxi driver, or if something goes wrong after your surgery & nobody in your hotel speaks your language.... Even fun stuff like where to find restaurants & what events are happening. I found out about it from this girl's awesome, funny & useful vlog about living in Korea. Here's the video explaining the phone number:http://youtu.be/9ZoQHMQkNWY
shinyglittery
I also remembered (I have it written down) that ITEM gives results that aren't so good, like not dramatic, too "natural" so it's not for me... i don't answer that question anymore at all. you can read my notes on different clinics but you have to do your own research. i can't tell you which clinic to go to, i'm not perfect and doctors aren't perfect, if i tell you a clinic and you go there and get bad surgery, bad karma for me... i have no reason to recommend anyone so i don't want to. please find out everything you can about the clinics and drs you are considering before going, it's not wise to go unprepared. misfit-remake
i understand. i've been doing some research but i don't think my research skills is sufficient and using google translate on korean sites gives me a headache when i try to read them (70% is gibberish to me). i just wanted your opinion to add to the clinics i plan to consult with in 2 week's time, since your research is alot more thorough and you're very knowledgeable. i will be arranging consultation with regen, item, daprs, girin, view and dream. will be doing more research in the meantime. appreciate any help given, thanks! shinyglittery
as long as you understand that just bc i don't list a clinic as good doesn't mean its bad and just bc i say it's bad doesn't mean everyone who goes there dies. but you should know i don't list clinics as bad unless i heard something really bad about them. your list of clinics sounds like you have done some research so that is good. i have no comments on your list. i can tell you regen and item at least will give you subtle results i think. the rest are known for more dramatic results but can do subtle too. you can trust dream for your eyes (Park & Yoo). i think you will do fine just trust your feelings, don't get drawn in by the marketing... if something seems wrong trust it! misfit-remake
thank you for your kind words shiny! i don't think i can consult with dream anymore coz the calls did not go through and they did not reply any of my emails. anyway as a suggestion and if you have the time, do you mind including a column for specialist surgeons in your charts? for e.g. dream - dr park (specialist in eyes and nose), dr yoo (specialist in eyes), etc. i keep getting the doc names mixed up coz many of them share the same surname lol. most of the websites just state the certificates and achievements but not what the surgeon specialise in.. i think it'll be a great help to all of us. thanks so much for your contribution! without this, i wouldn't know where to start! tkyu
Hi Mina, I actually got my rhinoplasty done last year at ITEM with Dr. Kim. He's very approachable and seemed very knowledgeable with what he's doing. (He is also quite humorous which made the consultation less stressful). He understood exactly what I wanted to get done.. even though I didn't exactly gave him a clear description of what I wanted to get done. I would suggest getting a consultation with him first before crossing him off your list! Hope this helps!
