This is not a very complicated procedure so maybe this thread won't be very big... but I think it deserves its own thread!

Aegyosal (애교살) is called "love bands" "or undereye bags" or something like that in English

Ways to do aegyosal (if you know more let me know)

1. temporary: fat grafting
2. temporary: fillers (restylane)
3. permanent: skin graft
4. temporary: makeup (if you already have aegyosal naturally but not very visible or only when smiling... or if you're really good with makeup!)

Are you getting aegyosal? did you already get it? how was it done? how long did the fillers last?

I am going to get aegyosal but I'm not sure which method... I have natural aegyosal but only when I smile or purposefully make my eyes show them, otherwise you can't see them... they are not thick but not thin either, i want them a little bigger! i was happy to find out it is not hard to make them always visible with makeup if you have them when smiling, it is easy... try it! i want to make mine permanent so you can see even when not smiling, even without makeup... I am not sure if fat grafting and fillers are absorbed 100% so no good effect will be permanent, even a little... does anyone know if this is true? I ask because I think if even a little bit was permanent it would already make my natural aegyosal more noticeable...

I disagree... ^^ I want it to be visible also when not smiling... but it doesn't have to be huge! if it's visible but subtle... then it doesn't look fake i think ^^ matter of opinion... some people think all celebrities look fake... even the ones with no PS... some people think anyone who is really pretty and wears makeup looks fake... haha... people think weird things... i say do what you like  anyway i have seen many many koreans with aegyosal (when not smiling) and almost never thought "that's horrible I'd never want that" so maybe i have aegyosal complex... haha xD but i will ask to keep it subtle... i think it cannot fail with a good doctor  I've spent hours in front of the mirror smiling and making my aegyosal visible and using makeup to make them more visible and I've just thought "oh I'd never think that looks bad" so maybe it is just what you like... ^^ but I agree, subtle is enough when always visible, doesn't have to be huge... just enough to make a difference! but thank you for your opinion... because sometimes we get a little crazy maybe... get too much PS... so it's good that you care enough to warn me to think about it carefully... i appreciate it... I still have time before i get my surgery so i have time to think...

I have it when I smile too, and I remember asking a few doctors just as a passing question since I'm already in their consultation offices, and I was surprised that all of them were against it. They said that I have it when I smile, so why do I want to do it? And also, it's very difficult to get it right so if the injection goes wrong, you have to live with it until it fades...

So I'm wondering if you actually inject either fat or fillers even though it appears naturally when you smile, will you get like 2 lumps of things under your eyes?

:o i hope not... but i don't think so! maybe it's a good thing they're temporary then, if it goes wrong then it's not permanent... so not such a huge deal, you just have to wait ^^ but i have seen some aegyosal that have been... well, not "horrible" but... not perfect either, some minor flaws... a little wrongly positioned on one side or a little too thin or low or something, and I think many people (young people at least) have aegyosal naturally when they smile so would those people also not have "double aegyosal"? and i haven't seen anything like that... has anyone?? but i don't think that can happen if the doctor is any good... i think he would inject it on top of the natural aegyosal, wouldn't he? the worst I saw was like... way too much fillers, they were the right shape and all but... like super mega big  they got better when they were healed but you could still tell they weren't even close to natural but... i still thought they looked cute... nobody wants that I think but like you said it fades away... not permanent (unless you get "permanent aegyosal" but I haven't yet found a clinic willing to do it (out of the clinics that have replied to me so far, I should post more questions but if it takes a clinic 1-2 weeks to reply in korean and they just say "come for a consultation, we'll talk more then" then I don't really feel like posting many more questions —.—
