Thanks so much for posting this as i just received a quote from VIP of USD 9000 for my nose and USD 3000 for paranasal implant.
I want to go to the best doctor and don't mind the price but if it is not worth it and unsafe which clinic should i go to for my nose? Im so worried Im going in September from Sydney and here there is no specialist for asian noses.

OK, so I've been doing a little digging and came across so many mixed and bad reviews about almost all the hyped Seoul PS clinics+got ridiculous price quotes from many (I know my nose needs some serious work but come on ppl), so have decided to buckle up and continue in Korean and when I did a google search these places came up, in order but I excluded the ones without '외과' at the end because I doubt they're legit. Or at the least they're not a PS clinic, maybe just a skin clinic.
Has anyone heard of these? Some of them have English web sites, most of them have Chinese (which unfortunately is not a big help for me  ) but I wonder... :graucho:

Mega Plastic Surgery (http://www.megaclinic.co.kr/ )
Apgujeong PS (I *think* I've read some bad things?)
Chungdam Seoul PS
YSBM
Samsung Hospital (I know there's some info on this on Purse)
Banobagi (this has been discussed here)
View (I remember this mentioned b'fore)
Wonjin (terrible reviews)
BK (ummm...I think it wasn't recommended either)
Seoul PS
Jaedon PS (sjdclinic.com)
Jium Clinic (jiumclinic.com)
Oracle Clinic
Grace Clinic
Dream (ummm...not good?)
Well PS
Seoul Line PS
Navi Clinic
Idea Clinic
Noblesse Clinic
TLPS
LienJang PS
Reborn Medical Group
Cindy (uhhh...I've read good and bad? O.o)
Raum PS
Opera PS
Secret PS
Dau PS
Teium PS (lotsa good revs and lately some no good...?)
I Star PS
Euro PS
윤앤정 ( http://www.hiynj.com/index2.jsp )
Seoul Yonsei PS
ABC PS

I'll try to find more info on all of them, preferably from natives, ofc. but just wondering if anyone here has info about the not well known ones.

And I also wonder, since the 'well known' clinics for foreigners and some of the not well known ones also have English sites and probably translation services (don't quote me on the last one) what makes certain places so popular with foreigners even though there are many bad reviews about them?

(P.s: I know Google searches go by SEO for the most part but I'm kinda stumped at finding a review forum in Korean :/ )

The ones to look out for are the ones with "의원" at the end of the Korean name. It just means they are not registered plastic surgeons but are clinics only. The law changed a few years ago to make them specify this in Korean so consumers are pre-informed.

The ones with 외과 or 병원 at the end are board certified plastic surgeons or hospitals.

Skin clinics are another category all together - 피부과 and dental clinics are also another category - 치과.

I think your list covers places that are popular with both foreigners and locals.

As I see it, the reason a lot of foreigners go to places with bad reviews on forums like this is either because:

- they don't research properly
- they go with an agent who reccomends the clinic
- they trust the marketing hype
-they think "bigger and more well known must be better"
- they prefer the convenience
- feel more comfortable because everything is in English
- they are getting their information in languages other than English (ie Thai, Russian, Chinese, Vietnamese)

Oh and for Korean language resources you may be better off searching on Daum or Naver

Woah didn't know that! Thanks for the info! O.O So start from ground zero again
I'm not specifically looking for english speaking places, I have a few local friends who can come with me to translate and are also trying to help me research but they say daum and Naver can't really be trusted either because there are a lot of fake reviews there too :/
