shinyglittery Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 i put on my new contact lenses last night just the color, no vision corrrection i have a good vision you're supposed to wear them for 1 month and then change when i wore them last night i could see normally when i woke up everything was kind of cloudy and blurry... but i washed my eyes and it got better the lenses didn't look different i could see everything close to me normally but things further away, especially small things like text on labels was impossible to focus on, too little contrast and hazy so i panicked, took out the contact lens on right eye to compare with the left eye with the lens it was really scary because when i took it out wy right eye was so teary that everything was blurry and even after drying it it still looked more blurry than the left eye and so i put the lens back on and i could see better again?? it's a brand name product so should be good... scary... i dont know what to do should i just take them off and try a different pair? i'm not used to wearing contact lenses so it took me like 1-2 minutes to get the lens to stay for both eyes but my fingers were clean but i wonder if that matters my vision is as sharp as before, it's not that like i can read all the text on the screen even if i make it font 9 for 汉字 or font 6 for letters so it's not the sharpness it's like there's less contrast i can read the text on the screen easily but reading some labels is harder even if the text is the same size and i can see halos/haze around things like light, fire, tv screen... but my vision has stayed the same all day, not better or worse so at least it's not getting worse what do u think? i'm really scared something's wrong...
jessiehn Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 You're not suppose to wear them 1 month straight dear, you're meant to take them off every night before you sleep and if you wear them long hours make sure you wear eye drops. Re-wear them on and off each day and make sure you soak it with solution to clean it!
shinyglittery Posted December 20, 2013 Author Posted December 20, 2013 haha... i feel so stupid T_T i didn't know that... honestly i only wore color contacts two times earlier and it was just for one night bcuz i wanted purple eyes for a party ^^ so i thought it says 1 month lenses so you can just wear them for 1 month... but my eyes are fine ^^ they hurt so much after i took them off that night... i was in tears for hours but i got eye drops in the morning and used them and then they got better and now they're fine ^^but i was really scared... now i know for next time ^^
justdaniella Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I recommend you use a deep cleaning protein remover for lenses, I wear colored contacts that are meant to last a year and I use the protein remover once a week to keep them clear. Ultrazyme and Aosept are both good in my experience. Read the instructions carefully because you can damage your eyes if you don't disinfect correctly.
