skyqueen
Thanks, doll! When I had the Botox done my eyes drooped at the end corners a bit and my eyelashes were weird. The PS said the muscles above my eyebrows were shorter then he thought. Hmmmm!
shinyglittery
oh no now i'm not sure about getting botox. i don't have wrinkles when i don't move my forehead/eyebrows but when i do there's a little more than i like, i've been thinking about it but droopy eyes is the last thing i need! maybe i'll forget about it. skyqueen
Don't go by me...probably a freak thing. Also, Botox isn't permanent. LOL!
ohhlala
Many times. The key is to go to a board certified surgeon and be injected by the doctor. Also, while Resylane is one of the thinner fillers, there are others, such as Belotero, that are pre-hydrated so there is less guesswork in terms of net result. Fillers under the eyes is TOTALLY different than Botox to the crows feet -- the objective with the fillers is to compensate for the diminished collagen under the eyes that happens to all of us with time. Often people think they're getting dark circles, for example, and then realize that it's shadowing created by the thinning under eye area. Filler under the eyes will give a freshened and brightened look. Botox of the crows feet will freeze the muscles that 'crinkle' when you smile so the area stays smooth even when your face moves with expression. ohhlala
also Botox doesn't work better the longer you do it; botox works by being taken up by the neuroreceptor and binding to a protein, causing the 'message' to the muscle to be blocked, hence you can't squeeze the muscle. Eventually your receptor sprouts a new terminal button, no matter how many times you inject. what causes the cumulative difference is that the longer you keep the muscle down, the corresponding opposing muscles overtake and become stronger, providing a tightening effect. There have actually been studies that have shown a collagen response also. but you will always need to repeat Botox.
shinyglittery
no i know... but if you got droopy eyes was that effect permanent? or not? haha it's good if the effect wasn't permanent... but a really nasty side-effect, droopy eyes is the last thing i want after i get surgery to make my eyes less droopy haha. skyqueen
Good to know about Belotero...must be a newer product then when I had my filler done. I would assume the needles, to inject, are smaller, too. Have to check it out.
skyqueen
I'm hoping it lifts my eyebrows a bit...not into my hairline, though. LOL! I found a new PS so we shall see................................
shinyglittery
haha! be careful, it also looks weird if eyebrows are too high. make sure your new PS is certified and good at what he does.
skyqueen
I like what the PS did with the fillers but not the Botox....that's why I'm going to someone new for the Botox. I have a childhood friend that has had so much work done she now looks like a freak. Instead of looking good she looks like MJ. I won't go to her PS!!! lookin-bags
I had it under my eyes once. It looked good at first but after a year I had two little "bags" that were blueish. They stayed for 3 years. Not super noticeable with concealer but I knew they were there. I had to have them injected with the reversal material whatever its called. There is still a little blue puff ( very small) on one side 6 years later. Be careful!!
shinyglittery
oh that's so sad, like the woman in korea, people who get addicted to PS and then end up looking worse are so sad, like drug addicts... oh that's good to know, thank you for the warning.
