makemeup Posted April 6, 2014 Share Posted April 6, 2014 I know similar question has been asked before but I am again looking into Thailand and wondering if anyone is familiar with Korat Memorial Hospital? I understand they have a cosmetic surgery department and being out of bangkok the pricing is even better? How about Dr Nond? anyone here who has used him? cloudbusting Posted April 6, 2014 Share Posted April 6, 2014 I haven't heard of those clinics, but I did go to PAI (Preecha Aesthetic Institute) in Bangkok for double eyelid surgery two years ago. Dr. Burin did my surgery and did a pretty bad job. I foolishly selected him because I liked their website and the procedure itself was on special, hah! The doctor was very brief and curt with me and the staff was very unprofessional. It was done under local topical anesthesia which did not work at all, and I felt EVERYTHING- it was incredibly traumatic. My eyes are now asymmetric and I also developed major ptosis which I did not really have before. I'll be going to Seoul in June for a revision. dontalley Posted April 11, 2014 Share Posted April 11, 2014 Hi makemeup. just saw your post and wanted to comment. I dont know if Korat would be a good choice. In fact im pretty sure it wont be. I did alot of research before i had my surgery and i found that nearly all the best choices are really only in Bangkok. Areas like korat and phuket are good for non surgical stuff but for anything major i wouldnt even look outside Bangkok. What treatment are you looking to get exactly? maybe i can help you. Otherwise check out Dr Ronnachai or Thai Medical Vacation. I found them both to be the most honest and straight forward during my research phase. I had searched for qualified surgeons outside Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket and I found them also work in or connect with the big clinics and hospitals in Bangkok. So normally if you see them outside Bangkok, they would recommend you to undergo the surgery in big cities i.e. Bangkok. I went to consult with Dr. Pichet of Bangkok Plastic Surgery Clinic once for my BA surgery but I haven’t decided on who’s the right one for my operation yet.
