DAPRS was in a high rise more modern type building and on the 7th floor, very close to Sinsa. After walking in you can see right away the girls looked like barbie dolls almost, very made up. from looking at my face. She was suggesting different things based on what I wanted. She felt Botox would be a good option along with mandible cut and contour. After a short wait it was on to meet Dr.
Lee. He was very mild mannered and laid back, it was also late in the afternoon and he just got out of surgery. I went over my concerns and he touched my face and then showed my x-ray and made
recommendations. He could understand what I was saying in English and responded to the translator in Korean. At first he felt my chin was ok and that a mandible cut and contour would be good enough,
but then I mentioned I wanted a much softer look and then he suggested a chin T-Cut along with Mandible cut and contour. He didn't think I needed botox or muscle reduction. He felt the mandible cut
and contour will reduce the muscle effect enough. This was different than what the consultant had mentioned. He was straight forward in recommending what would help and what would not be needed.
He told me he would recommend not doing any type of zyogma reduction. I asked a few questions, then he had to excuse himself. So about 10-15 minutes with the doctor. This was another situation
where it would have felt more comfortable if I could talk to the doctor directly in English so that we were both on the same page as far as expectations and what can be done.
After that I went into another room and had some Q&A with the consultant and then she started to talk price. She initially gave a price on the high side of 7M for the mandible reduction and 7M for the TOsectomy
for total of 14M. My host Bock Soon mentioned we went to other places and they charged lower. Eventually I bargained a bit more and felt they gave a very competitive price. This was after
some negotiating. The consultant looked at her calendar as we were trying to get the price lower. Perhaps they have quotas etc. and maybe different times of month or year they give different prices.
The total quote I got came in the range of about 10M Won. This is with cash discount of course.
9M - 10M Won seems to be the competitive market rate for a V-Line Mandible and Chin cut. It seems from word around you should always pay around this market rate anywhere. If they push anymore you
can always find a good clinic that charges the market rate or less.
So after some thinking, I felt that both EverM and DAPRS could do a good job for this surgery. The DAPRS consult was a bit shorter and not as detailed with x-rays and photos,
but I felt Dr Lee has a good reputation with Jaw and Chin reduction and that DAPRS is a plastic surgery clinic that is known for producing dramatic change and pretty faces. EverM before and after photos
also looked good. Since I came for plastic surgery and to get a prettier look, I decided to lean towards the plastic surgery clinic and chose DAPRS. I decided not to consult elsewhere as I felt I had two
good options from reputable facial contouring clinics.
It seemed that the Doctors at both places didn't have much time for a long consult as they were on the move with patients etc. So I did feel it was hard to build some rapport with the doctor before
deciding. I made a choice based on before and afters, talking to people here and from this forum.
I likely go into surgery tomorrow.

Ok, so After deciding on DAPRS. The next day I fast till the blood test at 1 PM. I arrive at the DAPRS office and I sit in an office with the consultant to talk price finalization and to give her the cash for

We walk a few blocks and go up to a upper floor to a crowded pharmacy with a little medical office in the back. In the office I change into a gown, get hooked up to a EKG monitor and get some tests
done as well as getting my blood pressure taken. Everything seems to check out ok. I had to pay an additional 35,000 Won for this test. After that I was free to go for the day and instructed to not eat or
drink anything after Midnight that night.
After some window shopping with the friendly help of the translator from DAPRS who showed me around a bit, I returned to the hotel and went out for my final meal. I made sure to eat Late and heavy so I
didn't have any compulsive hunger the morning of the surgery that would cause me to stupidly eat or drink something. At 9 PM i had a meal with some dessert and at 11 PM I drank plenty of water.
I woke up at about 5 AM and was pacing and felt ready to just get out there and do it. I started my process of getting ready, but kept laying down to squeeze in that little extra sleep. After showering
and changing my host picked me up about 7:50 AM for the 8 AM arrival for surgery. When I arrived there, I had to sit with the English translator at DAPRS for a about 20 minutes while she went over the
consent forums. Basically going over the risks and that I was signing my LIFE AWAY and that GA and surgery had dangers!! I guess Korean doesn't always translate as political correct to English.
Next it was off to the final bathroom trip and then changing into my gown for surgery. The translator asked me to wash my face with some soap they have and asked me questions about Allergies etc for
General anesthesia. I didn't get to speak with Anesthesiologist which would have been nice, but apparently he just needed to confirm info regarding allergies including food allergies and he did so with the
consultant.
It was off to a meeting with Dr. Lee who went over the surgery plan and answered any remaining questions. He understood my questions in English and even answered in English when he felt like it.
Translator helped as needed. This was about 10-15 miniutes. It did feel a bit strange that I didn't get to spend a lot of time getting comfortable with the doctor, but it seemed like cutting up jaw and chin
bones is something he does every day on a routine basis, so he was very relaxed and casual about the whole thing. I decided to just accept that and assume if he does it all the time, he knows what he is
doing.
He showed me the x-rays again along with my blown up photos. He explained that he was going to make cuts and shave below the nerve line. The X-rays had the nerve lines marked in bright red. That felt
comforting. He was upfront that with the T-Cut some sensation could be lost for a month to 3 months , but would come back. The position of the teeth may also shift for a month to 3 months also as a
result of the T-cut, but would not be noticeable to others. He concluded that full recovery would be about six months. After that I gave the Doctor a big hand shake grabbing him in full faith and was then
taken to the operating room.
I laid down and had the needles put in my forearms, while the translator put my blown up X-rays and photos up on the wall for the doctor to see while he performed the surgery. The anesthesialogist came
and told me he would give me a fairly strong anesthesia gas and put a mask on me.
Some time later I woke up with a really nasty feeling and a mask on. It was probably the worst feeling of the whole process. The post anesthesia feeling is the part of the process where I started to say
to myself, what the hell am I doing just get me outta here, who cares about the damn result I just wanna feel normal. I was desperate for water, but could not get any for almost 8 hours or so. The nurse
came in some time later and removed the mask and replaced some of the meds I was receiving through the IV needles. My mouth was dry and throat rough, I felt extremely light headed. I was walked to
the operating table again where Dr Lee did another brief examination. Then it was back to the Hospital room and shortly after to a private room for the rest of the day night. It felt like I was there forever.
I didn't get any water and the nurse kept coming in and replacing the liquids and pain killers that are transmitted via the IV needles. Finally I was offered water late in the night, but by that time I didn't
really care for it.
Finally morning arrived and I was taken to the operating table again where another doctor removed some stitching of tubes along my gums. It didn't hurt too bad. He explained what happened during the
surgery and asked if I had questions, but I couldn't move my mouth too well to ask any questions. I was walked back to the private room. A few minutes later Dr. Lee walks in and touches my face and
explains that there is more swelling on the left side, but it will go down in a month or so. He said the operation went perfect! I asked if I could see the post op x rays later and he said sure.
At this point I had a head bandage on tightly on my face. I was free to change and leave with my gargle bottles and prescription, and instructions and was told to come 3 days later for the follow up
appointment. I laid in the bed for a few more hours watching tv, before getting up changing and deciding to

I now hv long stitches along each side of my brows, super ugly. Right side was most painful d whole nite but now much better. The pain from my right brow I rate it 9/10, left is like 2/10.
Dr placed soft silicone for my nose bridge n septal cartilage for my tip. Pain is 3/10. I told Dr no high bridge but natural for me, height less than 3mm. I wl ask Dr in my Monday appt for more details.
Soft silicone to fix my reciding chin too. D lower part of my face along d jaw lines, feel very tight, probably due to bandage n plaster, very uncomfortable, hate d feeling. I however am ok with d stitches
where Dr cut d incision inside my mouth, not feeling anthing there at all. Overall pain for this part is 5/10.
I know many our forum members are here now, how is everyone doing now?Wishing all of u hv a great great A+result!

MaiQ, thanks for all the detailed posts! I'm glad to see that there's no bad review Right now DA, Dream, Everm, Girin, Teium+AT, Cinderella are on my short list. For the price, from what these people say, I feel like you can cut down a lot if you are good at bargaining.

How can the range be so huge - 7 mil? What's the difference between the 15 mil quote and 23 mil? And what email/method did you contact them to get a reply? I contacted them last week via daprs@naver.com and dldms0901@naver.com but have not heard from them since...

I would like to know if any forumer has been to DA and had nose and eye jobs there? How were the results? I know their website is pretty good with nice pics for B&A, but I just like to hear the forumers' own experience to be absolutely sure.

Hope someone would share their experience in this thread.

Mrs King - Jinyip did surgery at DARPS today, I hope she will share her exp.

From my knowledge Dr lee is eye and facial contouring doctor- the results have been v pretty. For the nose I cant be sure until further info.

The emails are daprs@naver.com and dldms0901@naver.com. However I used QQ as I speak Chinese. It's MUCH faster than email...

I guess it's cuz I didn't say specifically what I wanted to have done. But I'm pretty sure with a price range like this, I should be able to keep it under 20m for all the procedures I need (double eyelid+ptosis possibly+zygoma+vline+nose). They said it was ok to do all procedures at once (even tho it sounds scary for me...)
I used QQ. QQ relies are very fast. You pretty much don't need to wait. Just send them your pics and they will reply you a price range within an hour. But you do need to speak Chinese >.<

Mimi60 - I managed to get hold of them via Kakao talk. I think i got a reply because I said "May I ask for prices and potentially book a consultation/surgery"?
As soon as I said that I got a reply within a minute xD I think they sense the "book a surgery" and got back very quickly.
Their Kakao ID is DAPRS. I have also got the email of the english consultant, can give you if you want, but if u speak chinese you shld contact a different person.
Btw here is the quote I got from the Eng consultant:
Rhinoplasty 4 mil. (not too bad - i think locals usually pay 2-3 mil)
Malar reduction 7 mil (I think this is standard too for foreigners, although locals pay 1-2 mil less)
Genioplasty with V line 6- 14 mil ( I think that means genioplasty for 6 mil and V line for 8 mil)
But I definitely will negotiate down to maximum 18 mil.

At this rate I might visit DAPRS in July 1st and might b in Korea in the first two weeks of july.
