travelbug80 Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Dear All, I was advise by a specialist clinic in Korea that full body liposuction cannot be performed in a single day but it will be spread over the course of a few days. Since I am very tight with time, I was told to have my liposuction before eyelid surgery. This will not leave me with enough time to remove the stitches of my eyelids in Korea. Can anyone who has done full body liposuction advise? I am in dilemma.
thetrolltrain Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Not exactly full lipo, but the doctors suggest spreading out the lipo over a few days is based on body condition and amount of fat removed. http://www.realself.com/question/howmany-body-part-lipo-safe
renderella Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 oh I'm glad you posted that link! I was wondering the same thing as I am considering close to full body lipo as well. So 5 liters might be the max allowed in on session...wow. Seems intense. I hope to do mine within the next month or two.
thetrolltrain Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 I'm not sure about the credentials of the surgeons on that particular post. However, if most of them are suggesting the same thing with volume and safety, there must be some truth behind what they're saying. I'm sure there's more you can find out about lipo and the safe amount to remove per session. You can also check out their profiles to validate their credibility.
shinyglittery Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 i don't know if it means anything but i remember hearing the same amount (5 liters per session) as maximum long before the post TTT made. like a long time ago
renderella Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Yes, that is correct, but depending on the price and any special deals I may get, I might only do 2 first. The thighs and arms. Then I will do the rest at a later time. Covering up my stomach area is quite easy. Also if I wear my pants higher it looks much better bahhah. So I can wait on that for a bit. The two I'm looking at now is Banobagi and 365mc. 365 is the one that I am most interested in as they also try to do weight loss solutions and not just surgery. Plus their email response was pretty impressive. I will see both on the 19th and will update after that. I'm trying to get it done as soon as possible, but I also want to not rush and forget to ask important questions. I have a list on my phone.
renderella Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Okay so I went to JW, but didn't get to see 365MC since they are ridiculous and let me make an appointment for when they CLOSE!! uhh Anyway, JW was absolutely wonderful. The doctor was very personable and even spoke mostly English. The translator was a very sweet girl and understood completely MINUS here telling the doctor I wanted everything done when I really just wanted my thighs and arms first. SO the grand total for Full body lipo there is $10,000 (10 million won) and I would have to stay over at least one day. THIS is the main issue not the money. They said that even if I got only my legs and arms done I would still have to stay over one day because they need to check me the day after and they said that's when they normally put the dressings on you or change them or something. Then one week later you get your stitches removed. My issue is that I am a teacher and I can't just take off of work and I don't want to request to leave early either. I really love my school and I love being there for the full day. My vacation isn't until August so I will try my best to drop some weight by then and then see where the problems areas lie. I think JW is a great place though. Very nice staff even if a little bewildered by the foreigner presence. lol
maiq Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Anyone having experiences or have read about doing lipo *together* with facial contouring? I'm thinking about that since lipo for thighs and belly also require GA, might as well do it together. I've heard of people doing fat graft -which is mini lipo- with facial contouring, but I am not sure if doing thighs and belly *together* with facial contouring is too much to take at one go?
k-couture Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 what type of facial contouring are you refering to? Bone manipulation procedures plus lipo for bellt and thighs is a bit too much imo lol.....but if u just want a fat graft that's perfectly fine since the actual transference of the fat graft into the transplant site is not invasive.
shinyglittery Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 K Couture: i think it was pretty clear she meant that she'd like to get facial contouring (bone surgeries) + belly lipo + thigh lipo. that's probably too much at once...
maiq Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 I am actually quite a few: Cheekbone + V Line + Nose and Double Eyelids. If I also do belly and thighs lipo would it be too much? My concern is that usually post-op, people wont feel like eating much due to nausea so their stored fat is used to feed the body. But if I've got my major fat content sucked out, would my body be too weak and that it might prevent proper healing?
k-couture Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 umm that is wayy too much. I don't think you realize how much discomfort you will be in. The Jaw surgery alone is considered a major surgery. Your lipo work is not a small procedure either. I would not mix the 2 together. I remember waking up from my jaw reduction + rhino + chin augmentation and i felt like someone had bashed me in my sleep. I puked so many times too and i could barely make my way to the bathroom on my own for the first 2 days. Imagine that plus your lipo.....Now imagine that plus everything else......too much my dear, too much stress on your body and alot of downtime for you. Not to mention the longer you are under general anesthesia the higher the risk of complications and stress to your system. I think you should split it up and make sure u seperate your v line from the lipo.
shinenim Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Hello ladies.. I'm pretty new to the forum and am interested in doing a full body liposuction. I have actually went to the video consultation with SM clinic - Dr chung - and he suggested that a FULL body liposuction - butt, franks, love handles, arms, inner/outer thighs and calves reduction will have to be done over a few sessions and the estimated time to stay in korea would be about 3 weeks. It's not cheap though.. approx USD 24-25K. I am considering 365MC/JW and TLPS but TLPS seems to be very much visited by foreigners and they do not have much info on liposuction. Any suggestion other than my listed choices?
shinenim Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 I fully agree on this. I have struggled with body issues since young. Not like I have not tried to lose weight through clean eating and working out. But there are just some areas which cannot be be done through exercise. I goi've always been going on about losing weight via the healthy way until recently I just got tired of it (not like I've given up on my healthy lifestyle) but I think it is time I enjoy golden time now that I am still young and pretty. I've decided to go on liposuction after struggling with 'big size' in Asia for the whole of my 22 years life & liposuction need to be maintained else you may gain all the fats back in no time. When are you planning to go for the surgery?
