t_dulac1 Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Do not go to girin with dr song. They ruined my eyes and ruined my life.
autumnsea Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Hi everyone, I know that Korea is better option for facial PS, but what about procedures on the body such as lipo? I prefer the slim willowy look of Asian beauty standards but I'm afraid that if I do lipo on my thighs in the states, the doctors will think my ideal is too thin and they'd be way too conservative. I've seen results I liked from Korean clinics like 365MC and the Line. Would it be worth it to fly to Korea just for lipo??
sassyqt Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Gosh what happened t_dulac? Was it double eyelid surgery? Girin has such good reviews. I was thinking of consulting there.
sassyqt Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 @autumnsea definitely worth going to korea, if you're doing multiple areas for lipo. Then you'll get a discount. For one area probably not. Korea is for sure cheaper than the states. Have you tried emailing or kakao 365MC and the line?
autumnsea Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Hi SassyQT, I'm interested in lipo for the stomach and my legs. The first one im sure is standard everywhere. But for legs I'm worried about ideals about thinness in different places in the world affecting my result? neither clinic has given me quotes yet, they said they'd have to see me in person :/ I'm slightly underweight and would like to get rid of extra fats, I think I'd be "basic size" (mentioned by 365mc) Good to know it tends to be cheaper in Korea. maybe it evens out after plane and hotel costs but if for better result then it is worth it
sassyqt Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 @autumnsea Korea tends to highly overcharge non-Koreans, so while it should still be lower than the States, definitely research lipo prices for stomach and legs and what you're willing to pay. Brush up on your negotiating skills, some clinics intentionally overinflate their prices and then come down $3,000 while negotiating. I hope this helps, there's price quotes from the line and 365mc in this thread. #
autumnsea Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Thanks for the link and tips SassyQT! I'll do a lot of research on prices, maybe try to lock one in or work on my negotiating like you said. It would be terrible if I go all the way to Korea only to have arguments on payment What do you think about my concerns on different body ideals affecting lipo results btw? I can't seem to find any discussions on this. It's much easier to argue for facial surgeries but idk for body
sassyqt Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Body ideals for sure are different in the States. One surgeon I talked too here said many of his patients ask for bigger assets on top and bottom. So they're used to doing more J. Lo and Kim K fat grafting. Asians on the other hand are more into the slim look. Bring along pictures so the PS definitely has an idea of how thin you'd like to go.
autumnsea Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Ty for your tips SassyQT! Writing everything down might make a thread too. There doesn't seem to be many discussions on Korea lipo compared to eyes or nose PS
mto1607 Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Planning to have jaw surgery because I have protruding jaw that makes my face looks extremely long. I'm having braces right now, though. Maybe I will go to Korea in summer 2017, because I will not be done with braces next year and as a international student, I need to go back to my country, ask for visa which would take a long time until July (peak season) when I get everything ready So far I have EverM, Thefacedental, JW and Bananogi on my list. Any recommendation on doctor who specialize in jaw surgery? Btw, do you know if I can ask for Visa in the US if I'm an international student?
serenena Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Hiiii I'm going to Korea in May and am planning to get my abdomen and arms done. If I do it at the start of my holiday, I'm afraid it will ruin my plans! But many of the clinics require the patients to be in Korea at least 7 days for stitch removal so what should I do? I still want to be able to walk around and explore but will doing Lipo hinder my holiday? Anybody able to advise which is the most affordable but safe clinic? Haha. ID, BK are charging really high!
peanutbutterjel Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Hi thoebee, Can share your experience on Eight ps? I am planning to do with them also. Can share which Dr is specialised in what surgery? Thanks!
