k-couture
I did have some mildly noticable asymmetry. Mine is due to Bone structure, fat and soft tissue distribution. Acculift only addresses issues with fat and soft tissue and not bone. I think to find out whether it will be a beneficial procedure for you, a 3d facial ct scan would be ideal. chardonnaylane
K Couture: Thanks for your reply! Did you consult any other doctors for your eye or did you settle with Dr Park's opinion it was too risky to reverse? I think I can accept the eye shape wing slangy but I can not accept the depression/ectroption that makes the lower lid roll outwards. It looks awful and needs to be fixed but I have no clue which eye doctors in Korea to trust so would love some names of possible good eye surgeons. I found someone who seemed very skilled named Dr David Park Dae Hwan (he is president of the Korean Oculoplastic surgery society) and he was just lecturing about his eye lengthening technique on some PS meeting. I've tried emailing him twice in English but he has not replied Have you (or anyone here) heard about him? http://www.dhparkps.com/html/?doc=bbs/content.php&co_id=david1http://www.genderaesthetic.com/newsview.php?id=5 I'm not Korean or asian either so clueless on those forums. Regarding the lips Im leaning towards having the smile lipt by Dr Kwon and then go to Haworth in Beverly Hills for the upper lip lift.
k-couture
I spoke to Dr Park and Bryan Mendelson, 2008's president of the ISAPS about the lateral cantho, Both advised me against it as it was too risky for my condition. Never heard of that surgeon you mentioned sorry but i wish you all the best
moreen
hello k I been following your posts thank you for sharing your knowledge. Really helpful for me. I know using implant from your own body is not always the best like rib because I had very bad experience also with rib. You said you used something callerd auto dermis? Is that same as dermal back fat or something like it? Is it good result?
k-couture
I was going to use auto dermis for my entire revision actually as a plan B should my periosteum be damaged. But the auto dermis didn't fit LOL. Anyways auto dermis is a brand name for a type of cadaver dermis. It is more structured than dermis but i am unaware as to comparisons between absoprtion rates. Currently I do have auto dermis in my nose but only at the tip area to add as a protective barrier and provide more projection. I think you best make a short list of clinics to consult with. That way you can compare and constrast the various proposed methodologies. If you want I can give you a list of clinics who i believe to employ differentiating methods so you can have an unbiased self deduction of what would be most ideal for your situation

ngalaxiee
Hi KCouture! Thanks so much for your review! Just wondering, did you get to choose the surgeons you consulted with yourself or did you just get assigned to whoever's free? Cheers!
k-couture
Hi ngakaxiee. I always choose my own surgeons. Don't let them assign you as they may just do so according to availability and you may not get the most skilled specialist for your needs. This applies to all clinics. As i recall, during my consultation period with various different clinics, on the form i filled out there's a section whereby you can request your own surgeon or have one chosen for you. Obviously if you are going to choose your own surgeon you have to do your own research on their medical background, specialty etc.
wishingstar
Hmm does acculift cause your skin to sag? I had been considering it for the under chin area, but I read someplace that people who get acculift almost always have to get some kind of skin tightening (face lift?) afterward... not sure if that is actually the case, though! k-couture
Honestly opinions vary with acculift. Western surgeons claim there is as yet, no permanent tightening effect for procedures like acculift and other procedures which do not involve an actual lifting of the tissue. While all the korean surgeon i spoke to swear by it. Ive found that many surgeons will advise older patients against it as the potential to sag is much higher on them. In another week I will be 3 months post op. As of yet I have noticed no sagging, nor have i noticed any tightening. But my situation is not an accurate example because i've had a concentric malar lift in the past which pretty much negates any risk of sagging. I think if you are young and have alot of excess fatty tissue then it would be an ideal procedure for you. If you are older i would really think twice.
