peachy905
Thanks for the detailed explanation K. I will book a consult with Dr. Park and see what he recommends. If I could get a good end result with closed that sounds preferable!

Does anyone know for Transconjunctival fat repositioning, is both the doctors (Dr. Yoo Won Jae and Dr. Cho Hye-In) known to be skillful for this surgery? Both doctor are from Dream. k-couture
Yoo won jae is the top eye specialist at Dream. More expensive than Cho Hye In but alot more reputable and skilled.
feryn
Thanks for the information and reply. I will take into consideration. I wonder how do you guys manage to know the Doctors, specialist in and the experience they had. I did try to google around but didn't manage to get any results that I was searching for. k-couture
The information on the internet with regards to that is very limited. I found out by simply speaking to the staff. Be friendly and chatty and you will get them talking. Additionally, most clinics will identify the surgical society which their surgeons have memberships of. You can contact these surgical societies to check the credentials of the surgeon.
beautyperfect
Kcouture, I heard there's a group chat on kakao about plastic surgery and there's a lot of people coming back from Korea recently who give feedback. I want to join the group chat.Do you know about this?
beautyperfect
I have a short chin. What can i do to fix that and enhance my jawline. Is a chin implant the only option? Can anybody provide me with more information please.
k-couture
Yeah I know of that group. PM the girl who reviewed MVP if u want to join it. She is very helpful. But just a heads up, there's many shifty agents in it pretending to be forumers so be careful. That's what happens when u have such a huge group 90 plus. Agents and promoters are bound to slip in. One of my friends who recently went and had her surgery last month actually walked into a clinic with one of them not realizing she was actually an agent pretending to be a forumer until later on. Luckily she was a previous patient and had already gotten her quotes. So if you join that group be careful. Do not meet up with anyone unless you absolutely trust them, do not give out your personal details and do not meet up until AFTER you get quoted from the clinic unless you absolutely trust them. k-couture
There's sliding genioplasty where they cut the chin bone and shift it forwards. U can also use fillers. It really depends on what you require, what you want to achieve and what you are comfortable with (in terms of invasiveness) Some people can get away with a chin implant or filler but others would require sliding genio. It is very much dependant on your facial dimensions. So all angles where your chin balances with the other features must be taken into consideration
hj88
Fillers, implant, sliding genio, potentially even fat graft. T-osteotomy might be an option depending on where you chin is short. I had an implant placed and then removed it 8 years later and got vline surgery instead to give me a better chin line. If yours is recessed though, sliding genio is probably the best option. I'd avoid an implant if at all possible.
beautyperfect
Hj88, why did you say that you want to avoid implant. Is an implant more invasive than genio? And is fat graft the same as botox ? Is fat graft also temporary?
beautyperfect
Also what is the price range for eyelid surgery and a fat graft in the chin and in Dream. How long do you recommend me to stay if I were to do all these procedures?
k-couture
Nothing wrong with implant so long as placement technique is good. Good placement technique would greatly minimize risk of deviation and visibility of implant. If you notice there's some pictures around of Korean celebrities when making certain facial expressions, you can see the implant shape as it doesn't look natural. When the correct implant size and shape is used, and when the implant is placed well beneath the superficial layers of tissue, this would not occur. Implant is not more invasive than sliding genioplasty. Implant is also faster to perform and can be performed using sedation. Sliding genio is often performed under general anesthesia. Fat graft is different to botox. Fat graft is more similar to a filler. Botox on the other hand is not a filler. It is used to paralyse and relax the muscles. Fat graft is semi permanent. Survivability depends on the region of the face used, administration technique and your individual resorption rate. For example, people whose weight fluctuates often and lose weight very easily have a higher resorption rate. Regarding grafting sites, if you for example graft within the inner features where there's alot of muscle movement, such as the nasolabial folds, there's much lower survivability. If you graft the forehead survivability is higher. I'm not too sure about the survivability for chin tho. My fat graft was done in March 2014 to the forehead and to this day I retain 80 percent. Im a heavy smoker which affects survivability of the graft and I used belly fat, which has a lower survivability rate than thigh fat. But I scar easily so it was the best option. Despite this I have retained the majority of my graft. If you want more significant results tho, your best bet would be implant or sliding genio, depending on what you require. You have to consider your facial dimensions to pick the right procedure for you. Consider how your chin correlates to the rest of your facial structure from every angle. Front, Side and 3/4 angles. Is it short? or Is it receded? And if so, why is it receded? Do you have an overbite? If you do does the overbite play a role in why your chin is receded? For example, my chin is currently in perfect balance to my facial structure, yet I have an overbite. Dental surgeons adviced jaw surgery but in an aesthetic sense, because my overbite was not too significant, an implant (hydroxy) was all I required to achieve facial balance.
