Dr Kim at BK Hospital

Recommended Posts

 no prob! Glad my experience could be shared~ If you'r still debating whether or not to change doctors, sleep on it and gather more info from others. For sure you can always change when you arrive at the clinic and fill out the form. I've heard that Dr.Kim somewhat follows more of his own instincts rather than the patients...but since I didn't have him, I don't want to say that he's a bad doctor.
He is one of the directors of BK, which is prob why a lot of people choose him. Dr. Hong's a director too, but he didn't create BK. I can only tell from how I've been treated; Dr. Hong is a very kind doctor who seem to care about his patients. He saw me 3 times throughout the whole process; in person on my last day to tell me that I seem to be healing quickly and that I should have no problems.

I agree that if you're paying that kind of money you should definatly get something for the better and not worse; be very firm of your decision before you get operated on and always tell the doctor what you want. Be firm about it.

As for teh aftercare, I don't know what otehr people experienced, but both my and my friend found the nurses to be very caring and attentive, even when they were busy. There's always help with english, so don't be afraid either. Maybe some people's experiences were bad so they were dissatisfied. You should look into toehr clinics as well and choose one you feel most comfortable with.

Also, I got lost the day I arrived in Seoul because I took the limo bus and forgot to get off at Sinsa station xD so I called their english hotline and they answerred right away. I gave the phone to the taxi driver so that they could tell him the directions. If it wasn't for that, I would've gotten lost in Seoul LOL

:smile: I'm really glad this helped, and whatever you choose, I hope you're happy with it! I'll email you my pics, please don't post them tho, I'd like to keep them private~ thanks

Hi JuicyMe, Thanks for getting back with me. I am going July 19 for my nose revision at VIP. I was thinking while I am having my face all beaten up, I might as well get my eyes revised. lol. I am not korean, and I don't know the language. Iam american born chinese. So all my researches are limited to English. I called Teuim, they are just as expensive as Bando. I know, it is depressing. arhhh. Please send me the link that you've found, I could probably translate them in google. Thanks again for your help.

Does anyone hear of Dr. Kenneth Kim from California? I just looking to get a revision on my eye and nostrils base reduction done. I saw the before and after pictures on his website. Those looked awesome! He is Korean born and raise in U.S and partner with Dream Clinic in Korea. He do surgeries in CA and sometimes in Korea too. I asked for the eye revision and the quote is starting at $3000 or $3500 and $1000 more if you want a epic or lateral canto. Not bad at all. It's the same price as the clinics in Korea. He only see patient who live in LA but if you're from another state then you can have the first consultation free thru webcam and can schedule to see him. I'm planning to have the first consultation with him thru webcam and then see what he said and schedule to have the surgeries with him this Fall or Winter. I guess it's like of weird to have online consutation but it's help to save money that way. Plus it's easier to go back and forth if we need to, where if I'm traveling to Korea, I just want and hope that is a one time travel. If not it can be very expensive. I guess it's cheaper for me to go to CA for surgery than Korea if you have to add all the fee, hotel and plane ticket.

If anyone hear and have surgery with him before, please share so info. But for now his before and after pic for the eyes and nose look great!

Hi all.

I decided not to go BK. I've found a clinic which is pretty new.

http://www.itemclinic.com/

2 of the doctors were from BK and another was a former Grand Plastic Surgery Head Representative Director. And the website is all in korean for the time being. Also, if you are getting more than one surgery and request to have each specialist to do it for you, they are willing to do. I've also heard that the doctors are very friendly and also they will be very detailed when it comes to consultation.

So I'm gonna give it a try!

Also, if you check out their website and look at each eyes/nose/jaw etc section, you can see each pointers have very detailed drawings of the procedures and such. Which I find it so much better than BK.

And if you all are looking for a better price compared to bk and the others, this clinic definitely quote a better price. They go by korean won and also their price are korea standard market price.

I hope this helps.

If any of you need anymore details, you can email me at xxxx

 Yep, I heard he specializes in double eyelid surgery, tho I'm having a video consult with him this thurs for rhino. He's quite young compared to most surgeons. Has anyone got anything done from him?

I will have a web cam consultation with him soon too. I might end up doing my eye revision with him this Fall or early winter next year in January 2012 but I want to see if he specialize in that or not. But for the double eyelids and nose pictures, the outcome look awesome.

My co-worker compared surgeon's to banana's. Don't want to get one too young or too old. Figure that he's been doing this for 10 years. I don't think that's too young, although he does seem to cover a lot of procedures so you might want to find out what he really performs on a regular basis. From his Facebook page I would guess it's eyes.

So Dr.Kim in LA quoted me $4000 for rhino (rasping of the bump and ear cartilage tip) and $200 for fat grafting with possible discounts for multiple procedures. LOL Your co-worker's analogy sounds right though; I think Dr. Kim's in his 40s and reading his bio, he seems to be quite knowledgeable/skilled. He wouldn't be partnered with Dream if he wasn't capable. For sure he specializes in eyes, all his youtube vids talk about non-incisional eyelid surgery, but his before/after rhino pics look pretty good too.

Hey, that seems fairly inexpensive. he quoted me 6,000.00 and now I'm in Korea and they quoted me 4,200.00
I'm also getting my nose straightened out though, and the rasping. Dr. Kenneth Kim is going to be in the clinic tomorrow in Korea I was told by dr. park so I'm going to go in at 10 a.m to try and see him. I want to talk to him and see what he thinks

I talked to Dr. Kim right before he was headed back to Korea yesterday and he said that his prices were a bit different from Dreams. Dr. park quoted me $3000usd and hasn't gotten bak to me about fat grafting prices yet. Dr.Kim and Dr. parks methods seem to differ as well.

Dr. Park recommended rasping of my hump, silicone bridge implant, ear+septal tip and nasal reduction while Dr. Kim said inserting implants for my nose wasn't necessary; he'd remove the hump on my nose and fix the tip with ear cartilage. Are you planning to have Dr.Kim do your rhino or Dr. park? I think you can try asking for discounts.

Let us know how your consult goes! His consultation was much shorter than I expected, but that may be becuase he had to catch his flight back to Korea... It only lasted 10 mins but he seemed super nice and told me my case wasn't complex.
