kimber7 Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 I'm 20yrs old and getting lower blepharoplasty done because I have hereditary eye bags that age me. I am quite nervous since this operation has a chance of complications. I watched a video of the surgery and it looks quite invasive. I'm getting local anesthesiology with IV sedation so I'll be awake but "relaxed." If they remove too much fat the eyelid can pull downwards. My surgeon is very talented and only performs nose and eye surgery. It's hard to find reviews of lower eyelid surgery since most are for upper. How bad is the revovery? I'm getting it 6 weeks before fall semester starts so I can have plenty of time to relax and heal.
schmoo Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 I had this surgery done at your age for the exact same reason (it affected both upper and lower). I had huge bags already. I had no regrets getting it done even though for years I had a white line scar (barely visible) for years. The recovery as I recall was pretty quick. I believe only skin was removed.
