k-couture
I figure i should post this since too many people have been kakaoing me about overpriced quotes they receive via e-mal from consultants at various different clinics. Do not ask for a quote before you meet your surgeon. It is a foolish financial gamble on your part. When one requests a quote before being examined by the plastic surgeon, the quotes given tend to be on the higher end of the spectrum. This is part of a pricing protocol which takes into account a situation whereby the individual's procedure may be more complicated than what the lay person (the consultant) intially assumed. It is also part of a pricing strategy whereby after discounts are given, the profits generated are still beyond favourable to the business. This in turn also means higher commission for the consultants. Hence the main risk of asking for surgical prices before meeting your surgeon is being presented with an inflated quotation which, should the individual's procedure be much cheaper than the initial quote, it is very likely prices will not be adjusted accordingly. You all can easily find out the price range of said surgical procedures by doing your own research through this forum. With some exceptions like April 31, actual price variations tend not to fluctuate too much amongst competing clinics. Either way there is no need for the sake of budget purposes to ask for a quotation before even arriving in Seoul for your consultation. Doing so may result in a disadvantaged bargaining position. Of course there are clinics who will give you a more reasonable and averaged quote but this varies on who the consultant is, and the clinic's pricing protocol. Therefore since there is no solid guarantee, the best option is just to discuss pricing AFTER you finish your face to face examination with the surgeon. mrai89
Hi K Couture, I'm planning on going to Seoul around end of July for double eyelid surgery and Vline surgery. Do I have to book an appointment with the clinics prior booking my flights or can I just turn up in their clinic and ask for an appointment?I'm not sure what is the best way, given end of July is summer hols so the clinics might be especially busy?? what do you suggest? k-couture
why would u risk being turned down from a walk in when ure prepared to pay for a plane ticket? regardless of whether they are busy, it only takes an e-mail or a phone call to make a booking... maiq
I agree with K. I don't think many people on this forum knows how much the prices have been inflated over the years. Clinics do watch forum like this and adjust their pricing based on the quotations of other clinics posted here as well as your acceptance to those quotes. I won't go into specific but do not pay for more than 5 mil for any single procedure (except 2 jaw). paying for v line and zygoma for more than 5 mil is foolish. I have been doing research for year and the prices have been inflated to over 100% in the last 2-3 years due to popularity of 7-9 mil range price quotes on this forum. In the end of the day, if you want cheap price, do not prompt them that u r willing to accept inflated price. Also choose clinics based on doctor and results but not prices, hence asking for quotation is not necessary.
