most clinics and hospitals wouldnt allow patients to stay more than 1 day. i've emailed few and i dono its strange of them thinking all girls are superwomen and can take care of themselves perfectly even in case of big surgeries like jaw, rhino and eye surgery, i mean cmon, what if the patient have bad eyes and cannot wear their glasses first few weeks after nose and eye surgery how can they actually prepare themselves food etc
and i did also found a place that will provide personal nurse but its too expensive like 300,000 kw 24/h per day. im looking for other cheaper deals. too bad i got no one ti travel with me ;(

For those who are going to JW for surgery and if it is a minor surgery please proceed with your choice of doctors. However for a major surgery which requires GA, please think twice again.I was one of the customer there. JW clinic do not have a very skillful anesthesia doctors. They only have one senior and one junior. Although the senior lady doctor claimed she has more than 20 years of experience. Unfortunately her experience is not good enough to cater for exceptional cases I.e. narrow airway . She almost get me killed instead of putting me under general anesthesia. To cut the long story short. She blamed me for a narrow airway and it is impossible for her to find. During the emergency situation, the doctor slit my throat and left a scar. End of the day I didn't get my surgery done. And I still have scar on my neck. I suffered pain and my throat was inflamed . Let's not forget I have wasted my money and my time in Korea apart from suffered emotionally and physical pain and scar on my neck.

Later I find out from another anesthesia doctor , it is not so much of the narrow or big airway as everyone of us have a different shape and sizes to determined whether they can put you under GA successfully. It is more of the skill of the doctors as well as the medical equipment to cater for various cases. Usually larger clinic is willing to invest the machine/systems that is same as the general hospitals to keep the customer safe while the plastic surgeon perform his surgery. JW doctors told me they did not invest in heavy equipment or sophisticated one that is a better alternative than the current method they are using. She personally advised me not to go to small clinic.

I argued with JW panels of doctors, and told JW's doctors that my ENT doctor gave me the approval for the PS surgery. I am in good health and do not suffer any abnormalities. On top of that I did two surgery in my own country and both are out under GA and I was safe and fine without complication. Luckily I did one operation which is successfully done two months before I went to Korea for the PS. JW can't argued much with me and decided to give me a refund for my surgery cost.

However, to get the full refund from the clinic is a hell of time, they will give you various reason why they delayed my refund.

I don't have a good experience with JW clinic since the first contacts. JW can't keep their promised on the deposit as well as pricing. I also have the same issue with WONJIN, when I decided to go back to wonjin to book for my surgery in the next few months, they double up my price when they saw the scar on my neck . One thing I learned about KOrea clinic they are not very good in keeping their promise on the pricing. So guys and gals out there be careful.

Why do I decided to post this in the forum instead of asking anyone who is keen with JW or WONJIN clinic to PM me . I have a few requests and most of them wanted me to post my personal story and experience to save the life of others.

Hi Ninja1, could you please share your and/or your friends' experiences with JK? Why did you decide with JK, for your rhino, are you going to use implant? Would like to know more as I've also just emailed them for a quote for eyes and nose jobs.

Thanks!

I've had surgery several times in my life. I've had good results and bad results. These are the lessons I've learned from my surgery experiences:

Aside from doing research and finding a skilled surgeon, i think it's of most importance for us all to note that, for best results, we need to be healthy enough in order to heal well after surgery.

If you smoke anything before and after surgery, you're just begging for bad results and you will definitely get bad results!

If you're an inactive person and don't exercise before and after surgery, it's also very bad. You have to get back on your feet and get active as soon as possible and as frequently as possible. (cont'd)

I found that when I'm not at tip-top when having surgery, it seems as though, I get bad results. It feels like the complete healing process becomes prolonged, causing the surface of my skin to remain damaged longer. The end result being very poor results. A young person's tissues are much more resilient. Therefore, the younger you are, the better the chances of quick healing hence a more attractive outcome. But the older you are, and the less healthier, the less elasticity and ability to heal fast. So the older you get, the healthier, you need to be before AND after surgery.

Alcohol is very bad because it dehydrates the body. You need hydration in your body for tissues to mend and heal. This is my conclusion. There may be additional reasons why alcohol is bad. All I know is, it's really bad. (cont'd)

Oh, and very importantly, your mental state should be in a good place too. It matters a lot! Exercising everyday helps with that too.

I learned this the hard way. I had over $20K worth of work on myself just recently because i felt fat, old and ugly. I had lost a job, was having troubles in my relationship, was partying a lot and I was not exercising, at all. I was depressed before surgery and even more depressed after surgery. It didn't help that my surgeon was one of those that do not care what his patients' outcomes are. He really sucked! My results were very poor, to say the least but it could've been a lot better if I had taken care of myself better. (cont'd)

I got really depressed but by six months later, i became involved in a regimen of exercise and a better diet, so i was feeling a little better when my doctor did revision lipo on my back. I didn't use a compression garment at all, began light exercising the very next day, took my vitamins, did not smoke or drink - not once. How quickly and nicely I healed was noticeable. There's an indentation on my left hip from the liposuction but I'm pretty sure that's the doctor's fault. Other than that, I healed super fast. (cont'd)
