I hope that was helpful but there are at least 1000s of pages of experiences like this, you just need to dig further into the thread and other closed old threads (possible spend like a month reading the threads and forum, and make notes like how you read a good book - that's how I learned) I won't revisit the site in the near future as I need to return to my normal life, but I hope the sharing vibes will go on and people will get more out of this thread without the presence of promoters/translator or any other for-profit parties on here. How does one use them with surgical procedures that prevent one's mouth from opening too wide, post-surgery? E.g. Jaw surgery, chin implant etc If even brushing teeth is a problem with these procedures, do your teeth get out of alignment for the recovery period? maiq Posted August 28, 2014 Author Share Posted August 28, 2014 If you are having braces, you are generally denied from bone related procedures: cheekbone, chin, vline and two jaws. My friend who had braces on was refused by the clinics, they said only when she has her removed and the teeth settles in new form, then they will do procedures on her. I've been in research for over 2 years with lot of readings and collecting docs so I read almost all the posts that you quoted above. However, sometimes I still ask stupid questions about PS. Why? Because there're too much controversial information posted out there on forums, and this can be sooo confusing for first timers like me. I was going to ask but im afraid i sound annoying so i wont. I just hope more people with good result dont mind to share detailed of name dr, procedure, technique used and such.. Mostly i see name of bad clinics and bad dr. That helps in a sense but then we only left as that. i understand some after having good result dont want to share where or which doctor. With this post it gives me hope that there are good drs out there.. Now how to find them.. Lol .. And i have been doing research for drs before.. It makes more financial sense to do them together if you're traveling to do it, cos it's one set of a com/air tickets and sedation/Anesthesia, and most importantly -one recovery period! This is because if you do many with the same doctor they will be able to harmonise the features better than doing different procedures with different doctors (The result of doing procedures with different doctors is usually the 'fake' looking face, sometimes we cant explain why faces like that looks fake because each features post surgery look perfect on their own, but not when they are together). Different doctor has their own styles and ideals of beauty and by doing it with many, it's like you are sewing your facial canvas with different pieces of canvas that doesnt match in sizes. maiq Posted September 3, 2014 Author Share Posted September 3, 2014 I stayed in Korea for 15 days in total. For the first few consultation my friends and I hired translator. The one we got were expensive as it were direct contact we got from the embassy, we paid about 100K won an hour (shared among a group of quite a few people so it wasnt too bad). I would suggest you contact ur embassy in Seoul and they should have some list of approved translators, make sure you specify you want one with medical knowledge too to translate the terms correctly. For the rest of the trip when I recover and go back to clinic for check up, I have a korean friend and she was a goddess to me. My other friends, for their check-ups, found some korean uni students who want to practise their english, to help them too, and it was quite cheap to reimburse the uni students. Otherwise, try to kakao clinics (usually some of them speaks broken english on kakao) and ask them to arrange translator for you. Some of them should be able to, another friend recently did this and she paid only around 100K a day for 5 days that she needed translator. DO NOT rule out clinic just because they dont speak english. Usually the best clinics are the one without a translator - think about it, if they can survive on their local reputation and is full with Korean always, they wont need to try to fetch international big fish do they? The clinic I went were like that, there were only locals, not even chinese girls. Go on naver, do your research using google translate. If you can read chinese, chinese forums have 100x time the amount that is on purseforum (please google and dont ask me what forums they are) I can tell you all the clinics that you consider on this forums, international oriented with tranlators, have their scandals (if you want to know which scandals please search on google/chinese forums/naver) so I feel really sorry for those who are new and kind of commit to what's available on here only, because those are all really bad choices.
