ulzzang-quest
General suggestions that others might find helpful too: Have a spreadsheet open while reading through the forum(s), so that you can copy/paste all the helpful info. you find, to help organize and compile your research information. That way also, the threads aren't clogged up with repeat questions that have already been answered too. I've done that and so far have 4 different category/sheets going; shortlist of clinics, budget lines, itinerary/daily (but flexible), and packing list, all with side notes for further details/comments. Also, I want to suggest another item to add on to the packing list that others might find useful too: A NETI POT!!! It's a traditional homeopathic (natural) way that's used to thoroughly irrigate/cleanse out the nose (mainly used by seasonal allergy / sinus / cold sufferers), that helps reduce congestion and infections. It's basically a saline solution in a pot that's used to rinse out your nasal cavities (like you're pouring water in one nostril and the water comes out from the other). Doesn't hurt or sting, cleans out all the nooks and crannies, and I do it whenever my nose gets stuffy from hay fever (and you can buy in any drugstore in the US for like, less than 10 bucks). I'll be bringing it to clean out my nose thoroughly before going in for consultations!! (I'll also be asking how long to wait after surgery is it safe to do it again, to rinse out residual blood etc.)
taraunnie
Thats a fantastic idea! I will definitely start a spread sheet now from the info I have collected both myself and off here..I have just been writing it down on my phone's notes haha! I do know about neti pots..they are great but they hurt so much and make my eyes water and make you feel sick ): I guess..no pain, no gain? ulzzang-quest
Hmm that's strange. Are you using / dissolving the salt tablets that come with it? The salt solution, besides acting as a general disinfectant, is pH balanced, so it shouldn't hurt or sting at all... or are you snorting in the water instead of holding your breath and tilting forward (so it's going down your throat, instead of out of the other nostril)? It takes one or two times to get used to it, but it shouldn't be uncomfortable or hurt/sting at all. Also make sure you're using distilled / filtered water (or at least boiled water) so that no contaminants/heavy metals are in the water too -- follow the instructions on the box to the T! Good luck! ulzzang-quest
Hi AvidAquarius, that's great that you're really happy with your results! I'm consulting with them soon and I'm looking forward to it! May I ask what procedures you've had done? And any general likes/dislikes you had with them? TIA! avidaquarius
Hey TaRaUnnie, Aquarius Unite. lol Simply put, I had several procedures done at once. I had a non-incisional eye procedure to help me look less tired, rhinoplasty, jaw contouring and fat grafting. I wanted natural beauty and that's what I got. What are you considering to get done? avidaquarius
Hello Ulzzang, I mentioned my general procedures in a recent post, but I'll say again. I had a non-incisional eye procedure to help me look less tired, rhinoplasty, jaw contouring and fat grafting. So far, my experience has been fairly pleasant. Considering that I was choosing an Asian plastic surgery clinic for my procedures, my biggest concern was whether or not a Korean clinic would be able to provide a natural result that would balance out my Caucasian features, as opposed to just providing the local trend. My biggest reassurance or "like", was the specialists I worked with, really showed experience and knowledge about the aesthetics and balance of the face. I felt they really focused on what I wanted, and the most appropriate way to achieve it with a natural look. That aside, I would recommend that you write a detailed list of questions to ask when going into consultation or speaking with the surgeon. In the excitement of the moment, its easy to draw a blank and leave with less information than you would have liked. My only regret.

taraunnie
Haha I want a natural look like you did and hopefully I will get it like you did (: You got a lot of procedures at once..did you think that getting them was really much worse than if you had of had just one procedure? I am thinking of multiple procedures as well, but not as varied as yours ~ Jaw contouring, Genioplasty, Fat grafting and possibly Zygoma reduction (I am still not certain, but I'll discuss with the surgeon). miss-althea
I'm also interested in on consulting with Dream and JK. I wish you were going earlier so we could meet up. Im going around March 22nd.I initially wanted to go to Shimmian (Dr. Jung) because Ive read reviews saying that hes basically an expert on Asian noses but I've read reviews that the aftercare was not good. I'm a bit fussy when it comes to that. I want to be taken care of and be allowed to stay in the clinic as long as I can. I dont want to be kicked out just because the surgery is done Ive also read that he sometimes brings his student in the operating room. Thats a no no to me. Im afraid of shadow doctors. I then moved VIP on the top of my list because it was a big clinic. I thought the bigger the clinic the better but alas I was wrong. I read reviews where some were happy but Ive also read a lot of reviews where they only do one type of nose. Some of the b&a photos looks a bit big to me, not in the bulbous way but I find it too tall and big. Does anyone know the average cost of an ultra soft silicone implant (minimal), alar reduction and maybe tip refining (minimal)? Im willing to spend but I dont want to be ripped of either. Thank you. k-couture
question. What do you mean minimal??? You mean like a small implant? Because the implant size doesn't make a difference in price for a rhino involving ultra soft silicone. But if you mean minimal as in your case is simple and uncomplicated then it varies according to clinic range.
avidaquarius
To be honest, I had some concerns before going under several procedures at once. I was concerned about whether the pain afterwards would be too significant, or if the result would be cohesive and balanced. I felt much more reassured after speaking with the surgeons and consultants. I noticed that they focused on what the final result should be in conjunction with the other surgeries. As for pain, I was shocked at how insignificant it was. It's not rainbows and butterflies, but its doable. In my opinion, I feel like it would be easier to get the surgeries all at once, Other wise you might have to wait several months between surgeries to get them done because of the swelling. I was back on my feet after 1 week and my face was "normal" (aside from swelling) after 2 weeks. Sounds like you know what you want. As long as you clearly define that you want a natural look, a skilled doctor will give that to you. I'm excited for you. Keep me updated!
