lanvinfiend
Hi wishing star, it's from inside of nose, hence no scarring.
wishingstar
Gotcha - Is this what you mean? (diagram here: http://rhinoplastyonline.com/images/nostril.jpg That's awesome that you don't see any scars! Does that also include not seeing indented lines like in this photo? http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-YkFc1MFLO18/U4HxGQmxtsI/AAAAAAAAl0I/Ur0r3_M1beM/s1600/CIMG3484.JPG
lanvinfiend
Hi! I'm not sure about the exact incision sites, to be honest, except that they're from inside of nose, so definitely no lines/indents visible from outside for me.
wishingstar
Awesome - thanks for the reassurance! .. and congrats on an awesome result, Lanvinfiend! Would you be willing to share with me what clinic / surgeon you used by any chance? I'm so nervous about scars, and I'd love to go with a clinic/surgeon that's good about it! kgoevol
Hi, may I know if the nose would be stuffed after the surgery? Because I'm also looking at facial contouring.. want to know if I'm able to breathe properly
lanvinfiend
hi kgoevol, it's common to have cotton packing up your nose on first day to stem blood flow. You can breathe through it, and after it's removed you'll be back to normal breathing.

wishingstar
Did you guys' upper lip get longer when you did alarplasty btw? And did it change your smile permanently at all? Whew so nervous!
lanvinfiend
Hi wishingstar, I didn't experience any lengthening of upper lip. The only change in smile is that the nostrils look less spread-out when smiling (which was the effect I wanted).
wishingstar
Thanks for the reassurance, Lanvinfiend. Did you also notice a good change when your nose is resting (and not just when smiling)?
tanda-x
Hi Lavinfiend, Great to hear you had a successful alarplasty. Would you be able to PM me the clinic you went to and surgeon who operated on you? I'm considering getting an alar reduction too. I just don't know which technique would be suitable for my case. I don't have a wide base, but round, slightly flaring nostrils. Hope to hear from you! Thanks for your help!
