chlak5 Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Hi Guys, I'm contemplating between getting my surgery done for double eyelid revision, epicanthoplasty, and lateral canthoplasty at CK Plastic Surgery with Dr. K Charles Kim located in LA/OC. HIs work looks pretty good, while there is a few that I don't like. I'm looking for subtle changes where the outer fold is covering the inner fold so it looks like I don't have double eyelids. He has great reviews on Yelp as well. But the thing is he does other procedures as well and that kind of throws me off. I got quoted for around $4000 for double eyelid revision, epi, lateral, and fillers for the nose bridge. I know it isn't that bad of a price but I rather get quality work done and get it over with rather than fixing it again. With that said, if you look at the photos, would you say this is something perhaps a doctor in Korea would do? I'm looking at Jaedon, Opera, Real, Secret, Banabogi, and Teuim for my eyes. Any recommendation? Is Korea THE PLACE to get it done? Also, how much would things cost in ballpark of the procedures I would like to get done? Thanks all in advance. noitsyou Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Fillers aren't permanent though. You need to get it topped up every 1-2 years. In the long term, it becomes more expensive than rhinoplasty.

ddalgi Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 I wouldn't go to him... they delete bad reviews and I've heard he and his staff will quickly reject you if you have issues after your surgery.. to me, post op care is crucial and if the doctor is not going to see me through... it's not worth it. You shouldn't judge by the pics to. Of course they're gonna only put the best work. Just fair warning.
ddalgi Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 P.s.I honestly would go to Korea for these types of surgerys. Your eyes are above the the main focus us of the face and why even risk it? Korea has thousands of people they've worked on. I also got my eyes done at teuim and they came out beyond my expectations and I'm so glad I did. People make the mistake by getting it done in the u.s. and they aren't satisfied and they come out looking botched or generic. I really think you should go abroad esp. For eyes.

And I don't like saying bad things about doctors that i havent had work done with but I've had 2 friends that got bad results by him and he and his staff completely ignored them when they tried to tell them about it. And yes, I've had consult with him too and he seemed rushed and not interested with a dismissive attitude. That was enough to put me off and move to the next one. So glad I did too because my nose job turned out beautiful by a stellar doctor in Japan . Yeah, teuim is amazing. My eyes couldn't look better and same with my unnis and friends. I highly recommend them. I have kakao but I only add people I talk to regularly.
