chlak5 Posted December 29, 2014 Share Posted December 29, 2014 EDIT: It should read Teuim and Dr. Kwon Hi There, I got my surgery in California double eyelid and epi but I really don't think the doctor did epi since there is so much skin left between my eyes. Over the years I realize that my face is pretty big and I would need epi and lateral. And revision for my left eye at least since it's loose compared to my right and there is an event scar left, which I hope to get rid of. I'm looking into local clinics that are pretty good in eyes so I am looking at Jaedon, Opera, Real, Secret, Banobogi etc. I sent an email to Dr. Kwon and I was actually surprised to find that the quote I got from Jaedon and Teuim was practically the same. However, Jaedon offered rhinoplasty for 3 thousand even know I didn't ask for it lol. Which makes me think if Dr. Kwon is worth the hype for it or I should go to other medium sized clinics where locals go to get little of each done. I normally didn't think about rhinoplasty but the price seems good but I am aware I need to research understand that I may not like and may need revisions. Honestly, my eyes are the most important thing at the moment but I would like to hear from you guys. Is Dr. Kwon the God of the eyes as people rave about? Or is this some marketing scheme we are falling under? People say locals don't know him which kind of scare me. And I also hear eye doctor at JW is good as well. However, I never came across a bad review of him (Kwon) but nor did I about Opera, Jaedon, Banobagi, Secret, Real and other medium sized clinics. Oh in addition, I'm looking to get fat graft as well and was hoping I can get some kind of fat graft on my nose because I'm not too sure about getting a nose job as I don't want to look fake or at least I didn't research enough. But the quote I got from Jaedon seems pleasing for those who want it. Lastly, any of the medium clinics I listed are good at basically everything? Like eyes and nose? From my research if you want to get great eyes done you should go to Teuim and if you want a great nose you go to Braun. But I maybe wrong. Thanks for the input guys! koreasaurus Posted December 30, 2014 Share Posted December 30, 2014 Honestly, the only reason that Teuim isn't on my consulting list is because I want both my nose and eyes done at the same time. If I were just doing eyes, I'd most definitely consider consulting with them. There is absolutely no plastic surgeon "god" lol. Even the best will make mistakes. The fact that Dr.Kwon only works on eyes is reassuring to some people though. A quick note about locals...I've just about seen every clinic mentioned on this forum stating that *insert clinic here* is popular with locals. I've also seen people say that the SAME clinics mentioned aren't popular with locals. It's conflicting! I think it's something you'd have to see for yourself. I imagine a lot of it has to do with the season/time they go to the clinics. I'm going during a low peak season, so I probably won't be seeing too many locals as I would if I were going during high peak season. You seem really unsure about getting work done on your nose. I don't think it's something you should do just because you're offered a good price. Do it if you're sure you want to do it, like you are with your eyes. If you're really leaning on getting fat graft for your nose, you should research more about it. Like any other procedure, it can also have complications.
