Hello,

I was wondering if people who have experienced DocFinderKorea or know a lot about it, could post some information here. I emailed them asking if it was free and they said it was. I find it hard to believe since they pretty much transport you everywhere... What do they get from helping us?

Is it recommended to use DocFinderKorea? Do they have access to all clinics or do they only work with partner clinics?

There was some discussion about this not too long ago, so you can probably find it using the search function.

Anyways, based on what I read, its not exactly a "free" service. They get paid commission on whatever clinic you end up choosing and they get paid that way. In other words, your surgery price is inflated and they take that money so it "seems" like its free.

I don't think its a bad website, but I remember reading that certain clinics are pushed more, such as ID since they were in a show called Let Me In. I've never used the service myself, so everything I typed is based solely on what I read here.

Good to know that they inflate the price.

Can anyone comment on the price differences?

I'm not sure how docfinder works on their end so this is all speculation...

But im sure docfinder would be more inclined to "push" clinics that pay more money to them. So if x clinic pays more than y clinic, I'd assume x clinic would be advertised more. In return, x clinic would inflate the price more, since they paid more to advertise.

Again, I'm seriously just guessing and have no idea how the website works :P

I can comment on this for lipo as I've looked into lipo from 365MC from Docfinder

The cost quoted on this forum was about 4.3Million for thighs - the cost from Doc Finder was about 6 million KRW.

Seems like a serious ripoff to be honest.

I'm using it too at the moment for a trip I would like to plan in April. So far, they have been very quick and helpful with responses but I have no idea of whether I'm being over quoted since they claim to have connections with certain clinics and offer a further discount ranging from 6-25% depending on which clinic and procedures you choose in the end. I don't mind paying more for Docfinder's services because I'm planning to go alone and would need some help.

I don't want to get ripped off because the clinic I really want to go to has been quoted for $10,000USD for the procedures I want: epi, eyelid revision and rhino. And it seems like it can only go down to the HIGH USD8000s at best.

Is there anyone in this forum that is korean and from seoul who can give some advice?

the eyelid that i have right now is non- incisional. I'm unsure whether I'll be going about an incisional or non-incisional revision.. leaning towards non-incisional though with ptosis correction. I hate surgeons that give you the eyelid surgery without addressing the fatty hooded lid problem..total waste of my money.

I have people asking me to stick eyelid tape on my eye and constantly have make up artists insist that on special occasions, which totally defeats the purpose of the eyelid procedure I did in the first place.

Back to the question, K couture, are you saying that they are quoting me 1.5-2 million more, considering what you know for Banobagi in particular? I understand that banobagi tends to be more expensive..

Yes for banobagi and clinics within the same range, you are paying that much extra. You see for a price without discount, epicantho for a mid-high range clinic is 1.8.2.2 million won. eyelid non incisional revision is like 2.2-2.5. and rhino is 3.5-4 for primary. So at the high end is 8.7 without discount or bargaining. When they calculate your final price without discount or bargaining it should be done at the low end not the high end. Hence 7.5 and then expect a discount from that. That is why I said you are being over quoted for 1.5-2000USD even if your final price is 8000.

I was reading about this service too. Looks like no one really is answering- but I heard that these free services are not really free. That's okay, but if a hospital is willing to pay a commission, what if the hospital that is paying more commission than the others is not a very good one? Scary :shrugs:

I had facial contour and eyelid revision done at Banobagi through the recommendation from Docfinderkorea. I spent an ridiculous amount of 29 million krw won! Now that I had a botched job done by Dr.Lee, Docfinderkorea totally ignored me, so I have to contact Banobagi on my own. Unfortunately my previous coordinator, Claire is no longer working there. So I have to find Hebe, her attitude is so sucked up! They don't admit their mistakes, she don't feel sorry at all, she sounds like I'm after money! I never wanted a refund, I just want a report of what procedure was done to me, so that I can show it to my next doctor for revision! But Banobagi, such a big hospital they don't have any record! This is absurd!

shin from Docfinderkorea promised me rainbows and sunshine before my surgeries, he said he'll be there during my surgeries to make sure the clinic won't switch doctors, NO HE WASN'T THERE DURING BOTH OF MY SURGERIES. He promised he'll help me bargain the price to the lowest, NO HE WASN'T EVEN THERE WHEN I MADE PAYMENT. He promised he'll be with me throughout, NO HE WASN'T WITH ME DURING MY CONSULTATIONS EITHER. He didn't even inform me that my surgeon will be off on the day of my surgery despite me already placing a deposit to secure my slot. Since he works alone, he had to cope with other clients at the same time, so he was ALWAYS busy. He even left me alone during our meal on the first day, my first visit in Korea and went busy with his stuffs. He only checks on me once every 1-3 days, it was the staffs from Banobagi taking care of me throughout my stay.
Also his "half day tour" means, he'll bring you to the place you wanna go, but you have to come back on your own. zzz So I didn't want it, like what's the point?! And now that I'm having problems, he didn't care. He didn't checked on me when I got back after my trip until I texted and told him my problems.

You guys should check on reviews about him on forums, don't just blindly believe whatever the bloggers blogged about him. They are bloggers, they advertise for the clinics, so they only write good things! I'm just a normal person. I heard from other girls who went through his services told me they have a botched job done at Banobagi too. And Shin didn't do anything to help them! All of them including myself paid 3-4 times more than other people who went through the same surgeries as us! Also Shin didn't help them bargain at all, the prices are much higher than how much he quoted on emails. He just sat there kept quiet act dumb and when they asked him, he was like "it's the best price already just agree with it". He even showed photos of his clients to other clients! This is totally unacceptable, where's our privacy?!

So overall, i won't recommend his service. What's the point spending 3-4 times more and get such treatment?! Of course, if you're going alone, agency might be helpful. But definitely not Docfinderkorea, I think he is irresponsible and unprofessional! He claimed that their services are FOC but in fact his commission is a total ripped off!

And also, Docfinderkorea always recommended Banobagi to his clients not because it's the best, I guess simply because the clinic pays higher commission to him. Seriously after doing researches on my own, I realized no clinic is good at every god damn thing! Banobagi is not the best in doing eyes and nose either! shin recommended Dr.Lee as the "best surgeon in Korea" but look, I'm disfigured now. My friend wanted to consult other clinics but it was not on his list, Shin told her that he'll only bring her to the clinics he recommended and if she ended up choosing other clinic that's not in his recommendation list, he won't continue his service anymore, means he probably gonna leaves her alone in Korea. So she had no choice but to choose between Regen and Banobagi. she too, paid much more than how much Shin quoted her on email, and ended up having a botched job by Dr.Lee at Banobagi.

Hi pikapikachu, can i know what happened to your surgeries ? Did dr lee blotched ur eyelid surgery ? Do you suspect that banobagi switches doc ? I went for revision eyelid w ptosis correct plus epi with doc lee a few months ago. It turned out alright, however during the surgery when i woke up from sedation, i can vaguely see a doc wearing spectacles working on my eyes. From what i rmb, dr lee doesnt wear specs? Am just lucky it turned out well bcos the price is not cheap at all.

Yes, my eyes are ruined by Dr.Lee! I do suspect that They could had switched doctors. I didn't get to see Dr.Lee before my surgery, and I only opened my eyes ONCE during procedure! I'm sure I didn't pay any lesser than you, I paid an enormous amount of 29 million for those surgeries!
