missgl Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 I've personally done botox on numerous occasions to slim down my jawline. The recommendation is to do it every 3 - 6 months, and it starts wearing off after 3 or 4. Although it improved my appearance and I would say drastically for myself, it's expensive especially when you need to do it consistently. They tell you that the more you do it your face shape will eventually start softening, even without the botox and I can tell that it's not true at all - at least not in my case. The other reason I would say it's not a good idea is simply because the more botox you do, you start developing a sort of 'fish face.' I can't explain it exactly but if you look at celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Megan Fox, you can tell they have done it in the past because of that particular botox'd look. It's prominent across all celebrities who have done it. I can also say that I have developed something similar which is unfortunate and if I had known these things I would have never started it. Of course there is also the health concerns as the poster previously mentioned. In terms of motivation, just to be able to look at myself in the mirror every day and not be bothered by my imperfections. Good luck everyone! I hope those surgeries turn out the way you all hoped it would because mine certainly have so far.
thedeer1 Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 For me it's important that I like what I see in the mirror. I feel much happier when I like the way I look. It may sound superficial, but liking what I see does matter to me.
kgoevol Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 I guess age plays a part too. When you realised u r aging and may not be able to look as youthful and beautiful as u were younger, you feel that you need to keep up. For me, I don't want to look ugly as I age, don't want to lose those looks, don't want to be called an "auntie". Even though I fully understand tt there r more to beauty than looks, you can't deny that looks r part of the package. Exercising to keep fit and looK good is part of it too. Plastic surgery is an extreme mean which doesn't seem so bad after kpop got popular. Haha
marialmaynard Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Hi! I had lipoma removal surgery from the Lakeview Surgery Centre in Richmond Hill( http://www.lakeviewsurgery.com/procedures/lipoma-removal ). Mine was bothersome and it was not the starting stage. Now my sister is having lipoma and it is the starting stage. So we are trying some herbal treatments. She is taking 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar before going to bed. We heard that after a couple of days the lipoma will shrink. Another herbal remedy is to apply the mixture of turmeric powder with olive oil to the fatty lumps. If there is no change, then it will be better if you visit any near by doctors.
