lovemelon Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Ok, I'm freaking out. I woke up today (2 weeks after I did the Botox in my jaw) and my smile is super crooked. I used to have a really symmetrical face. I'm going to try to schedule an appointment tomorrow, but wondering thoughts? What happened.. where should I get injected? Looks like one side I can't smile as high as I used to and my other side is slimmer too

bigjaw Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 its been 30 days since i got my botox injection. i feel like massater muscle is getting weaker. i dont see the difference. im planning to get a VLine surgery. botox is waste of money.
lovemelon Posted April 5, 2015 Author Posted April 5, 2015 No from the dc area. Actually went to the best surgeon here and splurged because I didn't want botched results.. UGH I'm sure he'll be able to fix it, but it's really noticeable right now and making me self conscious. The right side has so e paralysis where I have difficulty chewing. Not sure if it spread or wth happened. I have four dimples and now only two on the right side making it even more obvious the asymmetry in my face
summerwing Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 don't top - up to correct it now i will advise u be patience to wait for 1 month later for the botox to wear off a bit more then they to re - top up if u think is needed. I will not go back to the same dr if i choose to re touch up again. I have try Botox cosmetic which last me around 12 mths and korea local brand botox last me around 8 mths
raeev3 Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 I recommend you waiting it out as botox doesn't last very long in the jaw, especially if it is your first time doing it. Maybe 8 weeks... don't add more. Also, did you get 40 doses on that particular side? Or 40 split between both sides? Because 40 on one side in the same location is a lot. I get 50 doses total split between either sides of my jaw.
lovemelon Posted April 6, 2015 Author Posted April 6, 2015 40 total.. Visited the doctor today and he said my jaw is pretty even and some must have spread. He said it's probably only a bit and should disappear in a month, but wants me to come back in two weeks to check on it. I feel really sub conscious about it the problem was I was so scared he went in through the mouth instead of the jaw so it wouldn't hurt. Guess I shouldn't have done that lol
raeev3 Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 I've never heard of botox being injected from inside of the mouth. I think it should have been on the surface? That way you can feel where the muscle is and it is injected in the right area. He is probably correct in that the botox spread.
